Switching From Verizon To Straighttalk .want To Use The Phone I Already Have .

How can I switch my phone from Verizon to Straight Talk?

You actually do not have to do anything. Since Straight Talk has a subsidiary mvno contract with Verizon, as it does with Sprint, AT&T & T-Mobile, Straight Talk service can be use on a Verizon device irregardless of network lock status. The Straight Talk SIM card kit includes a CDMA LTE SIM (UICC) card which is specifically for Verizon compatible smartphones which are 4G/LTE capable. To use your Verizon device on Straight Talk, you will only need to install that SIM in your Verizon device along with the included network access code. You may activate service either by calling Straight Talk customer service, or by visiting Straight Talk's BYOD (bring your own device) activation webpage online.

How can I switch my phone from straight talk to Verizon?

As far as the phone goes, that's easy. All Verizon phones are compatible with Straight Talk, so you will just need to replace the Verizon SIM card in the phone with a Straight Talk SIM card. This is assuming you already own your phone. If you are still making payments on it, you will probably need to pay it off before you will be able to use it on Straight Talk. Straight Talk should provide you with this SIM or you can buy one online or at Wal-Mart.If you are looking to keep your phone number you will need to port it over from Verizon and should be able to do this either through Straight Talk's 800 number or their website. In order to port your number you will need your Verizon account number AND PIN number. If you do not have BOTH, you will not be able to use your number. Your Verizon number will also need to be active and in good standing at the time of the port request. If the number is suspended or disconnected, the port request will be denied by Verizon.

Can you switch your Straight Talk phone to Verizon?

No. Even if it's technically compatible with Verizon's Network (most are) the phone is SIM locked to Verizon's carrier ID. Much like in the days of 2 year contracts on postpaid, prepaid phones are sold well below cost and they are locked to prevent you from taking the device to another Network. If the phone has maintained consistent Straight Talk service for an entire year, you MIGHT have luck getting it unlocked, but even then there is no guarantee that it will work.

Can I switch a Verizon iPhone to straight talk?

I want an iPhone and wanted to be on a straight talk plan. Can I go to Verizon and get my free iPhone or a different iPhone and switch it to straight talk? Also is straight talk any good?

I'd like to switch my straighttalk phone to Verizon and keep my number. Is this possible?

Switching the number isn't a problem. Your account number is the IMEI of your phone or the last 15 numbers of the SIM if you're a bring your own phone customer. Most Straight Talk phones are SIM locked so they can only be used on Straight Talk. If the device has been used in Straight Talk for at least a year, you may have some luck getting them to unlock it. Ive heard mixed results there. But unless the phone is a LTR-V phone it won't be physically compatible with Verizon.I have seen CDMA Verizon phones activated on Straight Talk, but I've never seen the reverse because the MEID of the device must be registered with Verizon.

Can I switch my straight talk phone to verizon service?

You can not use your Straight Talk phone with Verizon service. But what you can do is return your phone that you have now and get a Straight Talk phone that uses Verizon service.

Straight Talk phones use different providers for service depending on what kind of phone you have.

A Straight Talk phone with a C after the model name and number, like a Samsung R455C, will use Verizon towers.
A Straight Talk phone with a G after the model name and number, like a LG900G, will use either AT&T or T-Mobile.
A Straight Talk Android phone will use Sprint for service.

So you can buy a different phone and transfer your service to that phone then return your first phone to Wal-Mart if you have not owned the phone for a month.
If you have owned the phone for over a month you can call Straight Talk and see if they can send you a different phone that will work better for your calling area.

This is why I do not use Straight Talk and use Net10 instead. Net10 phones will roam to the closest tower to give you service if service is available at the location you are at. So if you know you can make phone calls with a cell phone at your house.
