Taking A Psychological Independent Medical Examination

Can a non-medical student take psychology?

The answers’ HELL YEAH!! Me for one, have taken PCM+IP+Psy as my subjects in my 11th grade, though many of my mates and teachers kinda criticised for taking Psy with math, but anyhow. Psychology is a completely independent subject. Yeah, it does include a little bit of bio, but those are just the basics, and you’ve read about those if you’ve given CBSE 10th. So, its not a necessity that if you’re are Bio student, only then you can take Psy.If there are any further questions, just hit me up!!K.D.

Guys i really need help. which is the independent variable (iv) and the dependent variable (dv) in these given?

The Independent variable is the thing that you manipulate and the dependent variable is what changes as a result.

7) The chef wants to see if the quality of bread changes when he uses a different kind of yeast. In this question we see two things that could vary: bread quality and type of yeast. The chef is manipulating the kind of yeast and the quality of bread will vary as a result. Therefore the yeast is the independent variable and the quality is the dependent variable.

8) The sports psychologist is keeping track of the number of fouls committed and the color of their uniform. He is not manipulating anything, but he is observing whether or not the variable of uniform color has an effect on the variable of number of fouls. So basically, the number of fouls might be DEPENDENT upon the color of the uniform. The uniform does not DEPEND on anything. Therefore the uniform is the independent variable and the number of fouls is the dependent variable.

9) Here we are seeing if a generic brand versus a name brand of aspirin is more effective in reducing headaches. In this problem, the reduction of headaches is dependent upon which brand of aspirin is used. Therefore aspirin is the independent variable and head ache reduction is the dependent variable.

10) In this one, researches want to see if sales figures for a diet are dependent upon packaging color... so packaging color is the independent variable and sales figures are the dependent variable.

In all of these there are two things that vary. The one that "depends" on or is affected by the other is the dependent variable. The one that alters the other rather than being affected by it is the independent variable.

What are the requirements to be a military psychologist?

I want to be a Military Psychologist and I was wondering what the requirements were to become one. Any suggestions for classes to take in high school? College? Medical School? I understand that you have to "serve" but I just want everything to be clear. Also, would you still be required to go to BT? Any answers are helpful. (Serious answers only please)
Thanks!

Can a narcissist trick a court-ordered psychiatric evaluation?

In my experience I have seen my niece who was diagnosed at 21 with BPD is now in her 30s and has been in and out of state as well as county mental facilities and jail. She is in jail right now with a reduced sentence for attempted murder. She hit her sister with her car. Because the judge bought the insanity plea. Every time she went in. She was out in no time at all. She tried to strangle her grandmother at one point and assaulted her aunt putting her in the hospital and still she fanagled her way out. CPS took her kids numerous times before she finally lost them for good. And then there's the narc i was with who had a nervous breakdown after his baby momma found out he was cheating with me (she bugged his phone) so he couldn't lie anymore she had pictures, emails, and texts, he started having sezures from the stress overload and ended up in the hospital for 3 weeks. The doctors wanted him to commit himself but he refused. So He started seeing a therapist I recommended (I didn't know what he was at the time). He only went a few times but I saw her about a year later and told her all that I had learned and she tells me how she doesn't think he's a narcissist. Now I'm no professional so I don't have the credentials to diagnose anyone. But I have the sense the good Lord gave me and when someone has 25 of the 30 red flags in one list, all on another, and enough from the DSM to warrant an “aha moment”, well ya gotta take note. Where there's smoke??? Well this was an inferno. I'm just saying. If the mental health professional is not proficient in personality disorders and immune to the manipulations of said narcissist, they too can easily be duped. It is even recommended that when divorcing a narcissist you should find a lawyer who is also proficient in narcissism. Unless you know what to look for its Always well hidden. They duped us all. I know I wouldnt have ventured into any sort of relationship had I known what was in store!

Highest paying jobs in psychology?

Jill's right - anything in industrial/organizational psychology. It's more business than psych, but there is serious moolah to be had. In the U.S. a new I/O Psychologist fresh outta grad school can make around $70,000 per year if they are ambitious and doing good work.

Anthropology = cultural approach - Sociology = pscyhological approach?

Anthropology does take a historical approach, but sociology definately does not take a psychological approach. Sociology is never about the individual, which is all that psychology does. Both anthropology and sociology do focus on culture heavily.
