Taylor Swift Made A Cover Of Eminems Loose Yourself When She Was 14 Am I Too Late To Like Him

Why is Taylor Swift so popular? What makes her different from other female singers in her age group?

Why is Taylor Swift so popular?Taylor Swift is popular largely because she makes conventional music. Making a conventional sound lowers the risk of alienating listeners. Like Ed Sheeran and others, when listening to her, you can routinely expect an agreeable sound that is designed for top-chart contention. You are yet to be lyrically, topically, or creatively challenged by Taylor Swift. What makes her different from other female singers in her age group, like Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, and Selena Gomez?I don’t think of Swift as radically different from the three but she is different in that she legitimately has a background as a songwriter. She’s not some mind-bending wordsmith but a hallmark of her records is her lyrical style. When listening to Swift, it’s evident that she draws from real life experiences. Therefore it’s easier for a listener to latch onto her music on a personal level.Contrast with Perry, Grande, and Gomez. Their lyrics seemed very corporate-created, formulaic, and mostly detached from any real-life inspiration. With them, its like lyrics are there just because it’s necessary to make a song. She appears to have more of following than them. Why?I kind of liken it to someone like Adele, Eminem, Drake, and even 21 Pilots. With each, a bulk of their audience relate to them on a personal level because their lyrics appear to draw from actual inspiration and real life experiences. Swift’s lyrics, for the most part, aren’t programmatic. They’re not just pumped out of the Music Industry Machine. They ostensibly come from a genuine place. And in comparison, her music is more friendly and catchy. Katy Perry, Selena Gomez, and Ariana Grande all make somewhat mature songs related to female sexuality. Songs about seduction, sensuality, and intimacy is more likely to divert listeners than very innocent, saccharine songs about romance and heartbreak. How can she sell so many albums in the U.S.?The reason is largely for what I said before. Making safe music increases the likelihood of mainstream appeal, and her lyrics have a degree of conviction, which add to the appeal. What do you think?

Why are my kids so rebellious? Makeup, jeans, boys, ect...?

I homeschool my 2 girls (Hayley, 12, Kristina, 15) They did not know what sexual intercourse is, they cannot wear jeans or pants, they can't have piercings, boyfriends, or wear makeup. They are to wear modest, long dresses and skirts and not cut there hair. But they've changed.

Hayley was complaining about how her hair gives her headaches (it was down below her hips) a few days ago, and I told her to look like a woman you should have long hair. But the next day, she hacked her hair off to her shoulders! I was so upset with her! I grounded her for six months!
Kristina is NOT allowed to have a Facebook (the girls share a room and computer, but I try to heavily restrict it) but I caught her on Facebook the other day! She had made an account, AND had her relationship status set to 'In a relationship'! I de-activated her account and demanded to know her boyfriend, it was some guy from Church! I made them break up as soon as possible. She is grounded also.
They both snuck out of the house a month ago and came back with shopping bags AND they were wearing jeans and heavy eyeliner!
Also, at there Youth Group, Hayley was talking to a group of young boys! I was furious! The boys were 12-14, and I marched her out of that Church so fast and made her sit in the car. No boys allowed, and she KNOWS that.
And Kristina also chopped her hair off and she somehow has a nose piercing, I tried to make her take it out but she always puts it back in. Also, Hayley's ears are pierced!
Recently I went through there room and found makeup in Kristina's dresser and SKINNY RIPPED JEANS in Hayley's closet. Also, I went through there computer to find Taylor Swift and some girl named Kesha on there music files and sexual stuff on google! I took there computer right away! They are not to know about sex until 18, which is the age they can handle it. I read there journals and they want to commit suicide! How can I stop them rebelling so much?! There swearing too!!!!!! Help?

Should I stop listening to Green Day?

Eric,

I'm not going to tell you if you should stop listening to Green Day. It's obvious, though, that since you've begun to have an internal moral conflict, you feel that something's not right with it. Here are some Biblical principles to consider. After reading each scripture, ask yourself if any Green Day or other rock band's songs highlight what God specifically condemns.

Ephesians 4:29 - "Let a rotten saying not proceed out of your mouth, but whatever saying is good for building up as the need may be, that it may impart what is favorable to the hearers."

Ephesians 5:3, 4 - " verse 3: Let fornication and uncleanness of every sort or greediness not even be mentioned among you, just as it befits holy people; verse 4: neither shameful conduct nor foolish talking nor obscene jesting, things which are not becoming, but rather the giving of thanks."

Psalm 11:5 - "Anyone loving violence [God's] soul certainly hates."

1 Timothy 6:9, 10 - " verse 9: However, those who are determined to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and many senseless and hurtful desires, which plunge men into destruction and ruin. verse 10: For the love of money is a root of all sorts of injurious things, and by reaching out for this love some have been led astray from the faith and have stabbed themselves all over with many pains."

Now you can answer your own question.
