Teach Me English What Is The Difference Or Which Is Correct As Far As I

What's the difference between an English teacher and a teacher of English?

The other answers are all perfectly fine.Personally though, I would describe myself as a teacher of English. That is what I do, I teach people the English language. However I am not a “teacher”, in that I don't teach in school and I'm not qualified to do so.Here in France, an English teacher would be someone who teaches English (the language) in school, a teacher of English, someone who teaches in other environments (one to one lessons, on site training etc).

What is the difference between "far" and "far away" in English?

We use “far” to refer to a long distance. We include “away” when we speak of distance in relation to a place or person. This can be a bit confusing. You live far away. This means you live far from where I live. (Away relates to the distance from me or my location)I live far away. I can’t say this if I’m at home, but I could say this if I were visiting you in Iran. Then it would be implied that I live far away from there. If someone drove to your house and you didn’t know where they were coming from you might ask, “Have you driven far?” but you wouldn’t say “away” because they have traveled to your location rather than from your location. You could also ask “Do you live far away?” In this case you are asking if the person lives far from your house. It is the same as asking “Do you live far from here?” but we don’t need to include “from here” in the first version because it is implied by “away.”Jane moved away. Jane moved away from here. We presume this to mean she moved quite far away and no longer lives in the same region.Jane moved. Jane moved to a different house or apartment, but is presumably still in the same city or region.“I can throw the ball very far.” is correct. If I throw a ball it is understood that I am throwing it from my location so I don’t need to say “away.” I am simply specifying that I can throw it a great distance.Away used in conjunction with throw has an additional meaning. If you say you threw something away if means you have put it in the trash.“I threw the ball away, because it had a puncture that couldn’t be repaired.”“Throw that book away, the pages are covered with mildew.”I imagine this meaning comes from the idea that we are throwing something so far away that we won’t be getting it back. Once the trash collector comes it will be gone for good.away - definition of away in English | Oxford DictionariesTo or at a distance from a particular place or person.

Please correct this sentence and teach me too how to learn english?

I thought you were bust and I didn’t want to disturb you; so that is why I didn’t send you any messages in the past few days.

I hope this helps, sometimes it is hard to figure out the right wording.

How can I learn to write grammatically correct English? What are some books or video lectures that will help me improve?

It is necessary that the basic “structure” of sentences be studied. Most native speakers learn this without studying grammar. The process of memorizing sentences from the time we are small children teaches us how to think continually in terms of basic sentence structure.Nursery Rhymes show us things like:Hickory dickory dockThe mouse ran up the clock. The clock struck one,The mouse ran downHickory Dickory Dock.If you study the Subject———Verb——-Object pattern, you will memorize how to think, write, and speak in terms of basic grammatical structure. The mouse (subject) ran (verb) up the clock (object)An Internet search using the following search termsSubject + Verb + -Objecteither alone or with the term + sentenceswill show you many websites about how to create basic sentences. The following is an example of one such website:Basic Word Order in English: SVO (Subject-Verb-Object)Such websites show how to create sentences with other elements.

English word usage: Which one is more correct? Why didn't you tell me before? Why didn't you tell me earlier? Why didn't you tell me first?

Whether one is correct or not depends on where you are located. To me the are all correct because the message has been conveyed clearly to the listener and they all paint a picture of an event having occured without somebodys knowledge. The expected to be informed. Why didnt you tell me before and why didnt you tell me earlier both signify time having lapsed and the listener needed to know before action. Why didnt you tell me first  can denote hierachy . why tell the CEO not operations manager. You jumped the organogram. This is according to my gloss.

ENGLISH GRAMMAR PROBLEM - when is it correct to use "I" as opposed to "me"?

I am pretty good as far as grammar goes but this rule has had me completely confused for a /long/ time. Every time I try to look for an answer, though, I get loads of different ones...

"John, Stuart and I are going to the cinema tonight."
"John, Stuart and me are going to the cinema tonight."

Which is correct? This is the kind of sentence I get confused about most often, since it's the kind of thing I say/write often and so I encounter it a lot and every time I don't know which version I'm meant to use.
I was told you're meant to take all of the other people out of the sentence and choose which makes sense, but neither "me are" nor "I are" make sense...
"I am" does, so is it "I" and not "me"?

PLEASE HELP I'M SO CONFUSED ):

What's the difference between "thus far" and "so far"?

They are almost the same although “thus far” tends to be used with the phrase “and no further” - that is, you can go or do up to a point, then you are not permitted. So far is usually used about time “so far, we have 10 applicants for the job” (but tomorrow we might have more)

What's the difference between saying 'You and I' or 'Me and You'?

It depends on the situation. I'll try to teach you a general rule about Pronouns.

First of all you always refer you yourself last.

Next- a test to see if your sentence is correct.

"You and I both know better."

Break it down like this- "You know better" (good) " I know better" (good)

"You and me both know better"
"You know better" (still good) "me know better" (only works for the cookie monster- otherwise not so good.)

See what I mean?

And heres one to show you the ignorance of some real posers. Myself is nearly always used incorrectly by jerks who wanna pretend they're important.

"This song was written by he and myself"

"written by he" (bad) "written by myself" (bad)

"written by him" (good) "written by me" (good)

Now you go and show 'em what chumps they are!

Cheers Darling!
