Whitening tooth past works slowly! You have to remember that. Going through a whole tube of tooth paste will only lighten up your tooth a shade or two in reality.

Now its important that you go in and get a check up to make sure that the stains on your teeth are indeed stains! Calculus OR Tar-Tar can build up on teeth if you haven't been in for routine cleanings and look like stain.

I use crest whitening strips and they work wonders for me. :) The only thing I don't like about them is that you have to keep your mouth still and try not to talk for 30 mins so that the strips stay in place. But they do have a package that comes with a moldable tray and extra strength whitening gel. But I can put up with the whitening strips. :) So hope this all helps have a nice day!

How can I get rid of stains I have in between my teeth?

If you are flossing everyday and still get stains between your teeth you could try a dental floss that has silica imbedded in it. Don’t floss the way you would normally (scraping away from the gums) but use a back and forth motion the same way one would use a polishing cloth for shining shoes. Be extremely careful not to do this under the gum, only above the gum. This is not recommended to do on a daily basis, but perhaps once a week until it is time to return for your regular dental cleaning. If you can’t find this type of dental floss, usually advertised as “whitening” floss, then squish a paste made from baking soda and water and use this as the abrasive while seesawing the floss between the teeth. Again, be sure no to do this under the gums but only in the stained areas.

How do you remove yellow between teeth?

Do you smoke or drink lots of coffee or tea? These will stain your teeth quickly. Mouthwash or flossing are good for your teeth and gums but will not get rid or the discoloration. If its just a tartar build-up then the dentist can get rid of that. If you have fillings there, any whiting product you use will help the rest of your teeth but not where the fillings are. If you get your teeth professionally whitened and you have fillings, they will have to change the fillings to match your teeth! (fillings don't whiten!)

Why do somali people have yellow stains on their teeth?

My mother told me that in Somalia, sugar canes are very common in some areas. So people sometimes peel the cane and chew the sugar. Over some time, it causes their teeth to look like that.

And to the other answerer, the twigs have nothing to do with it. My mother used the twig for many years - over twenty years (she just stopped relatively recently) and her teeth were bright white.

Why are my teeth more yellow near the gum line?

This is the natural shading of the tooth structure. Teeth generally tend to be slightly darker (yellower) at the gum line, lighter towards the biting surface, and a blend in between. On the front teeth, a gray color may be visible on the edge of the tooth. The amount of variation varies from on person to the next. Some people have a small amount of variation and others a great deal. Even the blended area between can be a wide area or a very sharp change from one shade to the next. When a crown is made for a tooth, it is important that the different shades are communicated to the laboratory making the crown. If this is not done, a monochromatic crown will not quite match the surrounding crowns. This is a problem wth some of the CAD CAM produced crowns. The acrylic used to machine the crowns are monochromatic and well not accept stain to produce the proper shading oh the crownAnother possibility is recession of the gums leaving root structure showing. The root structure is the color of the underlying dentin which is much yellower than the enamel of the crown. On occasion, we see patients who brush too hard. This can thin the enemal at the gum line and allow the darker and yellower dentin to show through the tooth.

Does smoking pot stain teeth?

Smoking marijuana can yellow your teeth, but 'smoker's toothpaste' should help with the problem. Yellowing is caused by compounds in the smoke, and any method of smoking which filters the smoke will help diminish, but not eliminate the problem.

Cannabis makes teeth fall out: study
