Tell Me About Wuhan China

Tell me about wuhan china?

I lived in Wuhan for a month. It is a smallish city by Chinese standards. it is actually made up of 3 cities that they combined into 1. there is a giant river separating the city. It can take a while to get to the other side using public transportation, especially in rush hour.
The are some fun things there. The Hubei Museum is cool. The Yellow Crane Tower is also fun. The downtown is a little small. There is also a large lake in the city.
It is also known as one of the three furnaces in China. It gets very hot in the summer. Apparently it can also snow in the winter.
I had fun there. I don't think I ran into any black people. You would be a rarity just like everywhere else in China. People will still probably be nice to you, but you will get a lot of stares.

About Wuhan China Cymbal?

Wuhan China cymbals are excellent. I bought an 18 inch cymbal about 1 1/2 years ago and it sounds great. To me they have the perfect trashy sound, without sustaining too long, not too sharp sounding... you know what I'm talking about. I also have a 12 inch like you do on my left side above my highest tom which comes in handy for different off-beats, accents with my left hand while playing my ride with my ride, etc. It would be okay to stack it on top of another cymbal, but personally I use those clamp on arm cymbal stands that clamp onto another stand. I guess the stacker would have to high enough above the ride so it wouldn't get in the way of you playing the bell and stuff.

Some people give Wuhan a bad name because they say they break too easy. Although I do agree that they are made out of a cheaper metal than most cymbals (because they are), I believe that the reason that those people say they break easy is because they truly do not know how to play a cymbal. The majority of people who are just starting out playing drums, as well as some people who have been playing for years for some reason feel that they need to bash the drums and cymbals as hard as they can. It's not good on the equipment, it doesn't make the drums and cymbals sound any better, and it certainly does not make the drummer look any cooler.

So yes, Wuhan is the best sounding China cymbal in my opinion.

And to answer your actual question, I could not tell you if your drum set is a good drum set. I do know that Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater uses Tama and he was majorly influenced by Neil Peart. Neil Peart also used Tama for years and years until the early to mid-nineties, I believe.

It actually refers to the rapid development of the city which to be explained that it grows fast within a short period of time. But, I heard a joke which says that it can also refer to the weather. During summer, the temperature can go crazy, it can go up to 42 degrees Celcius with no wind at all. It is too hot for me since I come from a tropical country. But when it comes to winter, the temperature can be so cold, it can reach to -10 degress with a lot of wind. And during spring season, the weather can change extremely within 1 or 2 days, from the very high humidity to the dry and hot day.

What is your review of Wuhan, Hubei, China?

I was born in Wuhan and lived there till last August. It is a beautiful city. You can go to Wuhan University to look at sakura in spring; when it is sunny you can go and cycle in east lake park; it could be a good idea to climb up the Yellow Crane Tower to take a city view; also you can go to Moshan, arboretum and so on. You can go to different places every weekend because there are lots of choices. As a city with the biggest number of university students in China, you can say it is a young city. Every year lots of fresh year students come to Wuhan and many graduated students choose to stay and work in this city. The advantage of human resource might be a backbone of the development of Wuhan in the future. You can never ignore the diverse and delicious food here. All the year round, you can choose different breakfast everyday and they all taste very well. The most famous one is hot-dry-noodles.Now I am living in another part of the world, I miss hot-dry-noodles a lot and sometimes cook it at home but the taste is not exactly the same, which is home taste.People in Wuhan are full of hospitality and they are kind of direct compared with other parts of China. You can feel it when people speak Wuhan dialect with a loud and forthright voice and sometimes you might see people quarrel on the street, which is not good behaviour but this demonstrates that people are very straightforward. The weather in Wuhan is nice which I didn`t realise when I was living there. Four seasons and each for three months. Spring and autumn is around 20 degrees which are the most comfortable days and in winter and summer it could be pretty cold and hot but it is acceptable since you always have the spring and autumn to looking forward to.When writing this down lots of nice memories emerge in mind,I miss this wonderful city.

Where is the best place in Wuhan (China) to live?

Well the Wuhan proper is usually referred to as the “three towns of Wuhan,” aka. Hankou, Wuchang and Hanyang. If you look at the map, they are separated by waters. Each town has its own sub-center.Places that are considered prestigious are usuallyalong the river/lake bank (e.g. Yanjiang Ave. of Jiang’an District, Linjiang Ave. of Wuchang Dist.[1] , Nanhu Ave. of Hongshan Dist.),near business point of interest (e.g. Jianshe Ave. of Jianghan Dist.[2] ),or near government/administrative properties[3] [4] [5] (e.g. Jiefang Park area of Jiang’an Dist.[6])Living in city itself is a compromise to the quality of life. Here is an incomplete checklist I would suggest you to consider.Commute. Commuting across the river is a pain. Subway is always crowded. When it comes to commute in any developed Chinese city — money, time and dignity, take two. If there is somewhere you can rent such that you have walking-distance to your workplace I would suggest you go for that.Noise. Many residential communities have “plaza dance group[7] ” that routinely play loud music to dance with in the early morning and/or evening. You do not want this to happen right beneath your balcony. Also you do not want any BBQ restaurant (or any restaurant at all), busy traffic, railway & urban railway route near your window.Parking. If you are to drive an automobile, better have a secured parking space than fighting for a street parking spot on a daily basis.Flood. Avoid ground floor if you are to live in an area that is susceptible to flood. It happens every year or two. Horrible, horrible thing[8] .Real estate developer & Management reputation. There are some good brand names out there.Information on the Internet would be far less than enough for you to make a wise decision. I recommend you visit places first.Footnotes[1] https://www.google.com/maps/plac...[2] https://www.google.com/maps/plac...[3] https://www.google.com/search?q=...[4] https://www.google.com/maps/plac...[5] https://www.google.com/maps/plac...[6] https://www.google.com/maps/plac...[7] 广场舞 - Google Search[8] wuhan flood - Google Search

Question about Wuhan, China?

They speak Mandarin with local idiosyncrasies. There's also a regional dialect.
And no, Elena S, there's more more than one official language in China. And really, Mandarin is just Beijing dialect legitimized as the main language of China by virtue of the seat of government being there.

What is it like to teach English in Wuhan, China?

About the same as working in any other city in China. However, Wuhan does not have a good reputation for friendliness. I found this to be generally, but not always, true. Being a big, growing interior city there are boundless opportunities to teach - high demand for foreigners, so there’s a slight premium for working there with the bonus of lower costs compared to other large seaboard cities. But beware of the rudeness on the streets.
