The Ac Will Not Shut Off. When I Shut It Off It Shuts The Display Off But Then Goes To The Floor

Why does my air conditioner cut on and off frequently?

Normal ACs (non inverter) work in the following wayThe AC compressor runs continuously till set temperature is reached in the roomThe compressor then switches off, but the blower fan in the wall mounter unit keeps runningWhen temperature of room rises then compressor starts running againAnd the process is repeated.... as long as you keep AC runningNow if you feel that your AC keeps switching off and on very frequently check the followingIf there is voltage fluctuation in your area then the compressor may keep shutting don on large voltage swingsSolution: Get a StabilizerYou have set the temperature setting too high. Max temp suggested for ACs is 25 degree Celsius,  any higher will mean the compressor shuts down often. Remember every compressor shutdown and startup draws a high starting current Set AC temperatures between 22 and 24 degrees CelsiusThe thermostat/ Temperature sensor is faultyGet unit inspected by Authorized technicianThere is dust buildup on the outer unit / compressor unit. The dust buildup may cause overheating by preventing efficient heat exchange, This may lead to overheating of compressor and it shuts down to, prevent damage to itselfGet unit serviced by Authorized technicianThe fan motor of the outer unit is not working properlyGet unit inspected by Authorized technicianRemember to get the AC serviced at least thrice a year to ensure smooth operationCool Thoughts... Dodge durango 2005, engine shuts off while driving, and the lights dim. It restarts when I turn the key.?

check your ground wire real good on it one that is loose will cause this to happen,if it was a bad alternator it would run the battery down on it but a bad ground wire will cause one to die out like this, but start right back up,an so will a bad fuel filter or a fuel pump going out,id run a pressure test on the pump to be sure it wasn't the fuel pressure causing this too happen, good luck.

Why does my electrical outlets turn off and on by itself?

It's really as simple as a loose connection somewhere, probably behind one of the outlets. It's not completely loose or it would stay off, but simple vibrations are causing it to connect and reconnect.

If you are comfortable doing it, you can turn the power off and start removing the affected outlets one at a time til you find the loose wire.

If not, then you need a professional.

Hope this helps.

Why does my air conditioner turns off after about 15 minutes?

This issue is an issue that can be resolved by a authorized repair technician only. Here is a possible list of issuesThe compressor is leaking oil. Thus it is overheating and shutting down within 15 minutes, The oil in the compressor cools the compressorThere is grime or dirt build up in the outside condenser unit, This is preventing the heat teansfer from happening from inner unit to outer unit, causing tyhe compressor to overheat and shutdownThere may be many other points of failure, but normally (at least in India) are not solvable by self help, because the ACs are not designed for customer repair. So call the Authorized service center and get your AC unit looked at

When turning off an air conditioner, if we turn it off by pressing the switch off button in the remote, without unplugging the main switch, will power be consumed by the switched off AC?

Yes. But since highest power consuming parts like compressor and fans are off, that would be nominal.Just enough to keep the display on and recognise any signal from the remote.

Why would my AC unit make the street lamp turn off?

Last night I noticed that at the exact moment my AC Unit kicks on, the light on the utility pole that my house is connected to goes off for a few seconds. I noticed this occur 4 or 5 times in a row. The same way every time. AC "click", light on pole goes out then comes back on. We just recently had an ac guy replace the capacitor. I don't know how long this has been going on for. I have concerns about what this might mean, and wanted to know if anyone has a clue as to weather this is an issue I should be concerned about.
