The Back Of My Tongue/throat Feels Irritated Any Idea How To Cure

Tongue piercing and a sore throat?

Your neck muscles are tight to cause that pain. You may have tightened them up during the piercing to be like this yet. To get rid of the pain you have to free up your neck muscles and here's how to do that:
Neck:
Put your hands alongside your head so your thumbs are on the front of the muscle under your ear and your fingers are on he back of the muscle, behind your neck. Squeeze your thumb and fingers together and hold. Relax your body. When your fingers and thumb touch, about two minutes, slowly lower your head as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your neck extended (lowered) for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

How to cure a sore tongue?

Your self-diagnosis is spot-on. The dehydration that comes with drinking a lot of alcohol is what's responsible for the soreness, and it's not at all uncommon. Just do a Google search, and you'll see how many websites address this problem. For now, drink plenty of water and avoid foods, such as alcohol and caffeine, that can dehydrate. And yes, you can have a sensitivity to or be allergic to alcohol.

In most cases, if you have a sore tongue, it is a good idea to visit your dentist and physician, because there can be so many underlying causes that are serious. But that's what doctors are for - to pinpoint the cause of the problem.

Does your tongue ever swell up? If so, that can be really serious - please see your doctor.

Only you can decide how much you want to drink, if at all. My cousin has had diabetes since childhood and could never drink alcohol. He just told his friends the truth: He couldn't drink for medical reasons. Nobody has to know your reasons.

Why does your throat hurt after vomiting?

The contents of your stomach is acid - hydrochloric acid is an essential ingredient tn the process that starts the digestion of protein in your stomach. There is a mucus lining in your stomach that protects the stomach from being damaged by the digestive process (unless you have stomach ulcers). As the mix passes into the duodenum, the acid is neutralized so that alkaline digestive processes can proceed.Your oesophagus, however, is only “designed” to handle food entering the system. This is usually slightly alkaline from saliva (assuming you actually chew your food). Whenever food goes the other way, either by leaking past the pyloric sphincter (heartburn) or by vomiting, the acid tends to damage the oesophagus, throat, mouth and teeth. You are being digested, so yes, it’s going to hurt. It’s a really good idea to rinse your mouth after being sick, drink water (possibly antacid) to flush out the acid, and if you have time and opportunity, clean your teeth.

Is it possible to cure strep throat just with apple cider vinegar?

No, You could go back to MD or you can try gargling with Hydrogen peroxide (it will feel weird because of bubbles).
Also use Anbesol (for oral infections & pain)
Put Anbesol on Q-Tips & if you have white spots on your throat, take them off onto Q-Tips.
If throat is just red, Swab entire throat so it's coated with Anbesol.

HELP!!! sunflower seed piece stuck in my throat!!!?

It's probably stuck in your tonsil. I get tonsil stones all the time and it's easy to get stuff stuck in them because your tonsils are like sponges with lots of holes or something (that's how they explained it to me).

Anyway, when you have tonsil stones, your tonsils eventually will just push it out, but you can also try squeezing it out by pushing in the area around the stone with a q-tip or your finger. Pushing directly on it will likely just make it more stuck. Also, try warm water gargling, it will open up the holes. Add as much salt in the warm water as you can dissolve and try that. Also, I find that a bit of gagging (kind of like you have a hairball) helps to push it out.

I know the whole tonsil thing sounds weird, but it seems really likely. When I have these things I can definitely see them in my throat, feel them, and they scratch the tongue, so it seems like this is your best bet. Try the things above, and if that doesn't work just continue the warm salt water gargling until it comes out.

I did manage to rip my tonsil once with some crusty bread - so I know that after it comes out it will probably still hurt a bit if it scrapes the tonsil. It may feel like something is still back there, but if you can't see it, it is probably gone and the pain/annoyance should go away in a few days.

Good luck.

Why have I had a sore throat every morning for over a year? A doctor told me the sore throat was due to my tonsils removal 8 years ago, but I find it illogical to begin having a sore throat 7 years after the operation. What would a doctor advise?

I also am not a doctor.  How do I answer thee?  Let me count (some of) the ways:You are probably breathing through your mouth as you sleep.  The nose filters dust and moistens air as you inhale.  If you mouth-breathe, the passing of air and/or irritants through the throat can lead to irritation. Some possible causes of the irritation:If you're allergic to dust mites, your house/bed/pillow/blanket may still be dusty.Your body and sinuses, allergies and physique, may have changed as you move through adolescence into adult form. (see next point)Your pillow and/or your sleeping position may not (still?) be mechanically helpful. The home heating, humidity, ventilating, air conditioning system may be irritating your throat with dry or cold air.  Open windows?  Windows closed, aircon on?  Sleeping in a breeze?  Does the HVAC have a clean, functioning dust filter?Climate or land-use change?Industrial pollution? If the soreness passes soon after awakening, perhaps with restoration of mouth moisture, toothbrushing or drinking liquids, I'd focus on mechanical causes.  If there is heavy or discolored dry mucus to spit out, then one might reconsider infection or pre-infection as a cause.RE-Edited, with my apology for having been less than fully thoughtful.

Why dose my left tonsil feel like it is rubbing against the back of my throat?

This is called your adenoid and it's located right behind your tonsils on each side. This is something that is always taken out when they take the tonsils because they're another source that can get infected. Something must have irritated it when you swallowed and it should go away in a day or two depending on how swollen it is. If you start to feel like it's getting infected then please have your doctor look at it. Good luck and God Bless
