The Dollar Only Strengthened Internationally Since Obama Took Office. Bush Crashed It Fifty Percent

What reasons would Democrats have for choosing Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders (or vice-versa)?

I don't believe that Hillary Clinton is untrustworthy.  I think the reason that some Democrats are willing to think so is that she's been under attack by the GOP for three decades. I believe that she's a smart, principled leader, and that she's to the left of her husband. She has a record as a centrist Democrat, and is the most qualified person in the country in terms of foreign policy. Here's the thing:  I'm to the left of Clinton on a good number of issues and I admit that of the two that she's the more status quo candidate, but I also do admire her. I like Bernie Sanders, and I like that he's bringing up the issues that he is. I actually agree with most of what he says.  And I like the fact that he's pushing Hillary Clinton to campaign to the left. I think she could get more done than Bernie Sanders. His calls for "revolution" aren't going to get other Democrats elected to Congress, and I'm afraid that they aren't going to get his agenda accomplished. Most importantly, I sincerely don't believe that Bernie Sanders can win the general election. I don't think he'll get cross-over votes from disaffected Republicans, and I'm certain that he'd have to endure some withering criticism from the media and the GOP if he were the nominee. Believe me, I'm quite sure that the Republicans would like to run against someone who's described himself as a Socialist. They'll try to convince middle America that he's the second coming of Lenin.I'm afraid we'd have an electoral vote that looks like one of these election years:From 1972: From 1984: From 1988: Assuming their nominee isn't Trump, my intuition is that Sanders could win the states that Dukakis did in 1988, plus Vermont and California, definitely minus West Virginia and Iowa, and probably minus Wisconsin. That's not enough, and losing the presidency and the next appointees to the Supreme Court to the Republicans would be a disaster for the country. So, my advice to Bernie Sanders supporters is this: Vote your conscience, but be strategic and don't try to tear down Clinton with everything you've got. I'd look carefully at this article:We asked 6 political scientists if Bernie Sanders would have a shot in a general election

Why is Donald Trump the greatest president we've ever had?

I think Trump is going to change history. He is the culmination of 25 yrs of negative propaganda from the right. The right has fostered feat and ignorance and the mob mentality - very similar to when the Roman Empire was starting to fail and distracted the mob with scheduled violence starring those the mob think are less than they are due to nationality or race.America is going to continue to down the spiral of collapse like all empires…our collapse just happened so quickly due to faster communications and a platform for every crackpot in the world on the internet.OR - we could like an alcohol or drug addict who has hit rock bottom….we could pick ourselves up, admit our mistakes, and start a renaissance that could change the world.I can only pray that Trump gets more and more disgusting and does horrible things that brings an end to this insane support of the party of ‘no’ who keeps bankrupting the country every 10 yrs when they get in power.

What were the most notable accomplishments made by Barack Obama during his presidency?

I give President Obama, and just about any other President, a difficult time because a lot of their decision making, makes little sense to me but I can speak highly of any President I'm versed on, and yes, the includes President Obama.President Obama has made achievements that transverse across a few areas including:1. The ACA, or the Affordable Healthcare Act, which basically expanded healthcare coverage via public and private initiatives and mandates.2. He managed, with a bit of assistance from his predecessor, to navigate the US out of a recession.3. In concert with other parties, he orchestrated the US to address the Ebola crisis in a responsible way.4. Via executive order, he has helped hundreds of thousands of "illegal immigrants" to not only stay here in the US, but by pushing the DREAM Act to let them get an affordable college education.5. Though its not his policy directly, he did withdraw US troops from Iraq. That's up for debate rather he did it or even if it was a gold thing to leave.6. He Presided over a period in which all Americans have the right to marry. While that's an action of the Supreme Court, I'll still score it as a victory for President Obama.7. He managed, in concert with our UN partners, to bring the earth together for true dialogue on climate change.8. The Iranian Nuclear Deal, need I say more?9. Once again, not a direct result of his policies, but under his reign the US has become the largest or second largest oil producer on earth. This is important because its been a message within American politics to always say "make the US energy independent" and well, we're definitely moving that direction rather one is pro oil or not.10. He restored US relations with Cuba, and will be the first President in nearly nine decades to visit Cuba next month.Admittedly so, this was a difficult list to come up with off the top of my head and the order of this list doesn't suggest the importance of the accomplishment.Best,Demetrius Hicks
