The Greatest Machine That Never Was -

Why was rage against the machine the greatest band ever?

for errie; of course all bands have influences, but rage did far more in influencing others. they INVENTED the genre of raprock. linkin park, POD, limp bizkit, etc. all stemmed from rage. the only raprock i can think of that predates rage is aerosmith/run dmc - walk this way, but that was just one song.

Which of the Air Force's aircraft was the greatest war machine?

The KC—135 Stratotanker.Keeping the jets in the air since 1956.The most underrated jet in the USAF. Without it, operations like Linebacker wouldn't be possible. It might not have any weapons itself, but it has been considered a battlefield MVP on many occasions. In Vietnam, it proved an indispensable asset to the air force's arsenal. Many pilots would probably have run out of fuel and flamed out over hostile territory if it weren't for this bird.be sure to upvote if you enjoyed this.

What are the greatest challenges in teaching yourself machine learning?

Personally I have found machine learning (ML) concepts easy to grasp.I can read any research paper in ML in a matter of hours and understand what it's about. And I can implement sophisticated models from ground-up.So technically, the hardest part about learning by yourself is that, well, you are by yourself. It is less interesting doing things alone and making all the decisions. There are a lot of distractions, like you can be watching movies, playing games or having fun instead of sitting in front of a computer reading or programming. It requires a lot of discipline which is by the way very hard for many people. So the greatest challenge is about keeping the passion and curiosity burning long enough to be competent in the field. That to me, is what I found the most challenging.Otherwise resources are now becoming available like good Internet connection, a good machine to code on and I will be forming or joing a team so that we can build even better machine learning algorithms together.I love challenges that is why I chose this path.I did not want to settle down with a normal electronics engineering job. I wanted the unpredictable world of self discovery, self-improvement and continued learning. So I decided to pursue a passion that begun when I was just 8 yrs old. My passion is in autonomous stuff, things that learn and sense their environments autonomously.Never stop learning.I made a conscious decision to follow this path and I am aware of the many challenges down the path and I am mentally ready and prepared.EDIT:The statement:I can read any research paper in ML in a matter of hours and understand what it's about.Stands as it is, for those offended or intimidated by it, it is not my fault.I can't help it, I am strong in maths and analytical skills and have read 100+ research journals over the course of 8 yrs.I have designed and implemented a state-of-the-art proprietary mobile vision system. And I have been practicing programming every single day for 8 yrs.Hope this helps.

Which movie or TV show has had the greatest impact on you and why?

I have many influences, too many to count but I'll stick for now to what comes up in my mind quickest lol.Recently, and I know you've probably heard this 693739284829383839393 times: Stranger Things.Brilliantly written and directed, I highly recommend this refreshingly clever take on the 80s sci fi/horror genre. In the past I have to say Ghost with Demi Moore and Patrick Swayze touched me, I find that I can watch it again and again and I still get a little teary-eyed. The SFX are albeit a little cheesy but looking past that it's a really good story I think we can all connect with: the experience of loss. Maybe it was the killer Righteous Brothers' track Unchained Melody heard throughout the film (both the sung version and the instrumental version) coupled with the heartbreaking/bittersweet moments of the film.In animation, Pocahontas, The Lion King, and Spirited Away (all produced by Disney and Disney with Studio Ghibli (for the last one) ) have all greatly influenced how I think about producing concept design (I produce concept art freelance). Everything from the dialogue to the nuances of lifelike movement to the soundtracks are what make these films A1 (in my opinion).A film I have to credit for molding my creepy concept art has to be Alien and its successors. The Xenomorph itself is, in my opinion, a beautiful fusion of animal and machine that I can't help but admire and try to emulate in my own work. This film is what made me love sci-fi horror even more.

What 10 questions would you ask a machine/human for the Turing test?

Thanks for the A2A.How come time flies like an arrow and fruit flies like a banana? Is the difference between a fish purely that one of its legs are both the same? The following sentence is true. The previous sentence is false. Is the previous sentence true?I wasn't originally going to get a brain transplant, but then I changed my mind. Is that funny? Why?What do you get if you cross a joke with a rhetorical question? Is the following word spelled correctly? What jobs are at the greatest risk of becoming automated and replaced by machines?

My problem with all of these “[when] will AI replace job XXX?” questions is that it implies an “all or nothing” answer… As if one day we’ll have humans doing XXX and the next they’ll all be replaced by machines and what happens before then isn’t importaint. The way that automation (machines and AI) works is by making people more productive. By doing so a company may need fewer humans to do the same amount of work (or more); for example an accounting firm may have employed 20 people back in the physical “pen & paper” days… but now do the same work with fewer than 5 people using specialized accounting software on a computer. Automation “replaced” 15 people… but there are still people doing those jobs. The same thing is going to happen with AI. I suspect that 20–30 years from now there will still be a lot of people still doing the same jobs that people do today… but there may be fewer of them doing it because they’ll be using AI to help them be as productive than all the people necessary to do that work now.—That said:I expect the 2020’s to be the decade of driverless vehicles. By 2030 most people probably won’t own their own cars. When you need to go somewhere you’ll call a service like Uber and a driverless vehicle will show up at your location to take you wherever you need to go.The cost of insurance to manually drive a vehicle will increase prohibitively.Package delivery services will go driverless but probably still have a delivery person in each vehicle to take packages from curb to office, porch, etc.Long haul trucks will probably be driverless but may have a security person/guard. (Note: There are approximately 3.5 million professional truck drivers in the United States.)(Human) Taxi drivers will be obsolete.—Grocery stores are currently working on eliminating cashiers. The act of putting something in your shopping basket will add it to your tab and when you exit the store your account will be charged.Between Walmart and Kroger, 500 stores are about to ditch cashiers (Between Walmart and Kroger, 500 stores are about to ditch cashiers)Amazon Go And The 2.3 Million Cashiers It Could Leave Behind (Amazon Go And The 2.3 Million Cashiers It Could Leave Behind)—Researchers have developed a robot that will make life easier for farmershttps://www.facebook.com/InTheKn...—https://www.zdnet.com/article/nurse-robot-moxi-gets-schooled-by-texas-nurses/

Why do haters on here call Brett Favre an 'interception machine'?

Hell Yeah!

Anyone who says Favre is not easily in the top 3 best quarterbacks in history don't know football.

Would there be any use to inventing a time machine or would it be the greatest weapon humanity ever created?

Well, this is a very tricky one and you are mixing theoretical physics with science fiction so it's quite hard to give a direct answer.Let's start with the basics. If you could go back in time, what would happen to the reality that you came from? I for one support the theory of multiple dimensions and thus multiple possible realities. This means, in short, that you never actual reversed time, you only jumped to or created a new reality that will progress on its own. This also means that anything you do will not affect your reality and, most importantly, you might not be able to go back to your reality. This is only a theory and there exists many others but it is the one, I think, has the only possible logical conclusion to the grandfather paradox. So, with that in mind. How much use would you have with a time machine? In this case, not much. It would basically be your own personal Pick-me-up machine making you think you have changed things while you might actually not have. You will only have created a new reality for every time you used the machine and the changes you did will not affect the reality you came from. But hey, a Pick-me-up machine might not be so bad. You could change things in your life or in other people's life in this new reality you just created. Sure you just created another universe where people will suffer and die equal to the reality you came from, but hey, you can change things for you :)In short. There is no use for a time machine, the only use for anything that manipulates time to reverse it would be if you are a being that lives in 5 or more dimensions, assuming time is irrelevant for them.
