The Idea -voting Without Id - All About For The Government To Collect Names Of Sloppy Americans

Does the First Amendment give Americans a free pass to call even their president all kinds of names?

In 1804, the Prussian scientist and philosopher Alexander von Humboldt visited Thomas Jefferson in the White House. While waiting in Jefferson’s office, the visitor picked up a newspaper and was shocked to see that it was full of “the most wanton abuse and licentious calumnies” about the President. When Jefferson arrived, the Prussian held up the paper and asked why he didn’t have the publisher arrested, or even hanged, for spreading such lies.Jefferson’s response: “Rather would I protect the spirit of freedom which dictates even that degree of abuse. Put that paper into your pocket, my friend, carry it with you to Europe, and when you hear any one doubt the reality of American freedom, show them that paper, and tell them where you found it.”Jefferson added: “The country where public men are amenable to public opinion; where not only their official measures, but their private morals, are open to the scrutiny and animadversion of every citizen, is more secure from despotism and corruption, than it could be rendered by the wisest code of laws, or best formed constitution.”Jefferson’s attitude about press freedom is well established. When he was Minister to France in 1787, the future President wrote to Edward Carrington, a Virginia delegate to the Continental Congress: “Were it left to me to decide whether we should have a government without newspapers or newspapers without government, I should not hesitate a moment to prefer the latter.”Now, 230 years later, the attitude in the White House on press freedom is different. When Trump learned of the impending publication of “Fire and Fury,” a book that cast a critical light on his presidency, he had his lawyers seek a “cease and desist” order from a judge. Thanks to the First Amendment, he failed.

My puppy gets hiccups EVERY time he drinks water.?

It is very common in puppies to get hicupps as they get older most grow out of it. One of mine used to have them about 5-7 times per day now as an adult he rarely ever has a problem.
It seems to be something that they grow out of as they get larger in size.
Giving ice instead of water may help but I would not worry to much unless the dog voimits or something from them.
They will pass and he should outgrow the problem.

Why do canadians look different on south park?

Terrance and Phillip were created in the first season because critics basically said "South Park is nothing but bad animation and fart jokes" so the creators were like "Okay, you want to see bad animation and fart jokes?" so they created Terrance and Phillip just to sort of prove a point. They are horribly animated and all the jokes they tell ARE about farts lol. When they were first created as a show for the boys to watch, they weren't labled Canadian. They just sort of had weird voices. After a few shows with T and P aired though, the creators were like "Hey, it would be funny if we made these really badly animated people Canadian. That's how we'll tell them apart from Americans" so they did. I think it's hilarious and I'm Canadian! :) But ya that's how they were created and the Canadian label just sort of happend.

Why are the 2nd Amendment rights so important for Americans?

The 2nd Amendment is the guarantee of our ability to change our government as per the Declaration of Independence if it should it ever become necessary (gods forbid).  W/o the threat of armed insurrection, we believe, that the other rights enshrined in our Constitution would be completely at the mercy of our national government.  We have seen more than a few times where the national government has 'interpreted' its powers in so expansive of a fashion as to make the restrictions we placed on the national government basically meaningless (see Wickard v. Filburn as one case that really still angers most conservative Americans today some 60 years later).  We have also seen the national courts interpret our rights in ways that seem vastly out of step with the original meaning of the terms - like treating the 10th Amendment as a 'mere truism' which robbed that amendment of virtually all legal power to restrain the national government.  We have seen the national government basically ignore the free exercise of religion any a person of faith has tried to practice their religion if that practice runs contrary to some generally applicable law.  The list goes on and on.We are not living in a tyranny b/c we still have our ability to vote and peacefully change our government.  But we fear the day when some demagogue will rise in the face of some major catastrophe (probably economic) and con the passive majority into giving up their rights (NSA spying on Americans as a step in that direction for example).   Any attempt at federal gun regulation is a step in the direction of universal disarmament and the ending of any chance (however small) of the citizens over turning a tyranny when it develops.  History shows that democracies always turn into tyrannies at some point - it is just a matter of time.  The Athenians voted to abolish their democracy after 40 years and installed a dictator.  The Roman Republic lasted for upwards of 500 years before infighting over foreign adventures and territorial acquisitions led to the rise of an emperor that effectively killed it and replaced it with an empire.  Other popular governments (democratic or republic in structure w/ republican governments lasting much longer) always have met the same fate with the passage of time.

Is it true that Canada is better than America?

This really isn’t even a valid question.Health care:USA - the singularly most expensive and non-trustable health care in the world. 70% of all bankruptcies in USA are because of health care bills.Canada - Free-to-the user. NO CHARGES.Life expectancy:Canada - 81 years, among the longest living peoples in the worldUSA - 78 years the lowest in the OECD, by a WIDE margin.Maternity leave:USA - Six weeks, no pay and if you don’t come back in six weeks, your job is gone.Canada - One full year with “almost” full pay. Your job is guaraneed to be there for up to two years.Schooling:USA - No. 34 in high school educational standardsCanada - consistently among the highest four in the world.Higher education:USA - the singularly most expensive in the world. A four year degree can cost up to USD400,000Canada - Free (Quebec) or very reasonably priced. All applicants that qualify can study - having wealthy parents is not necessary.Personal safety:USA puts more prisoners (on a per capita basis) in jail than the any other country, by a factor of seven. 50% of all released prisoners are in jail again within 18 monthsCanada - has among the lowest prisoner population and lowest repeat crime rates in the worldSociety:USA - I look after me, and you look after yourself. A general “population selfishness” which most persons, from any other country, cannot understandCanada - Who cares, we pay our taxes and live our lives peacefullyVacation time:USA - NONE, absolutley no guaranteed vacation time, and many don’t get any.Canada: Varies between provinces. Most employees start with two fully paid weeks and it goes up from there.Standard of living:USA - VERY UNEVEN, with the great majority living poorly by European or Canadian standards. 49% of Americans cannot pay an unexpected $400 bill without borrowing money this week. (Source: The Economist, this week’s issue.)Canada - Uniformly high with far lesser difference between high and average paying jobs. Not that it matters to you, I hope, but minimum wage is up to double what it is in some US states.I can go on…Choose carefully
