The Jee Main Rank Now Published Whether Includes Iit Candidates Or Only For Nit Students Reply Me

Every year IITs generate a list of top 25k rankers (varies) of JEE advance. But there are only 10k seats available. Do the rest 15k candidates get preference during admissions in NITs?

Yes the IITs announce ranks till 26k ( which varies). And NO, the rest of the students don’t get preference during admissions in NITs.There are only 10k seats (approx). But these 10k seats are not given to the top 10k students. You see 49.5% seats are reserved for OBC and SC/ST categories.Students with CML (common merit list) ranks upto 13k get admission in IITsStudents who don't even get a CML rank (i.e they have ranks above 26k ) belonging to SC/ST categories get admission in IITs.But general category students with ranks more than 7500 (approx.) don’t get admission in IITs.They also release ranks till 26k as those who don't get admission in IITs can try and get admission in some other colleges which recruit on the basis of advance ranks.Such as:: Welcome to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum TechnologyIndian Institute of Science, BangaloreIndian Institute of Science Education and ResearchIISER PuneIISER Bhopal ::.Welcome to Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata

What is the difference between the JEE Advanced and the JEE Mains?

Jee Mains and Jee Advanced are two different engineering entrance exams.Jee Mains is conducted just after 12th Boards in the month of April. Clearing Mains, you can get a rank and admission into the NITs(National Institute of Technology),IIITs, and various other colleges like Amity. Many private colleges admit students through the Mains score too.Jee Mains paper 1 has 90 MCQ Single Correct Option questions. 30 each from Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Marking Scheme is +4,-1. And full marks in 360.Jee Mains paper 2 is only for those interested in Architecture and is not for B.Tech admission, but B.Arch admissions.Clearing the cutoff in Mains paper 1, will make you eligible for JEE Advanced exam. Clearing Jee Advanced and getting a decent rank will land you in IITs. It is conducted in the month of May.Jee Advanced has 2 papers of 3 hours each. The full marks, marking scheme, question pattern everything varies every year(in 2016 full marks was 372 while in 2015 it was 504). The level of questions in Jee Advanced is higher than that of Mains and it has Multiple correct option type, integers, matrix and paragraph questions.Jee Mains tests your memory and basic concepts while Advanced tests your core concepts. Every year 12+ lac students appear for mains and only 1.5–2 lac students qualify for Advanced. (Given that you are serious in your preparation, getting a decent rank in Mains and qualifying for Advanced is easy, so don't think that getting in top 2 lac will be difficult.)From the question, I assume that you are a school student. Prepare well!!All the best!!!

What is the minimum mark required in JEE main to get nit?

The answer to this question is not absolute . It depends on a number of factors.Normally, the cutoff score for qualifying for JEE Advanced is around 100/360 ( for general category students) and around 2 lakh students qualify . So,roughly speaking,a score of 100 gives you a rank of about 2 lakh.It also depends on how high you are aiming. If you want to go for NITs situated in the north east,a score of about 130–140 will be enough but if you are eyeing top NITs like NIT Trichy, you better rock the show and get 270+.Also,the cutoffs for IISc are insane, and usually about 290+.One more thing, there is a home state quota for the students of the particular state.Due to this reservation of seats,a student of home state has better prospects of getting a seat than an outsider. You can check the cutoffs of JEE-Mains for the previous 5 years to get an idea about them category-wise.Although ,the cutoffs might vary every year. Here are the cutoffs for different categories for JEE Mains 2017My advice to you would be to study hard and eye the top 3 NITs which are Trichy, warangal and surathkal.Or why not try for an IIT.Hope this helps!!

If I am not able to score 75% mark in 12 board then I cant get NIT even if I secure above 300 in JEE main. Is it true?

Yea, it’s absolutely true but not for all boards. This is snapshot of I N F O R M A T I O N B U L L E T I N uploaded on http://jeemain.nic.in/. As per latest rule, C.B.S.E has removed weightage of Board marks in determining rank of Jee Main i.e your board marks has become only an eligibility criteria for joining any NIT rather than a rank determining factor in the same as it is used to be for IIT.Well, 75% marks is not compulsory for every board. You have to satisfy any one of criteria i.e one should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th class examination, or be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th class examination conducted by the respective Boards. Actually , it depends on marking pattern adopted by board and relative performance of students of that board. Generally, for being ion top 20 percentile in C.B.S.E one should get more than 80% marks. In this case if one gets 75% and below top 20 percentile cut-off then he or she is eligible as one of the two condition is satisfied. If you are a student of C.B.S.E getting less than 75% in board then there is no chance of getting admission in NIT,IIIT or IIT irrespective of marks you obtained in your qualifying examination i.e JEE-MAIN or JEE-ADVANCED .In many state board like Bihar, few students get more than 75% and that’s why top-20 percentile roughly lies around 62%. Thus, students getting below 75% have chance to get admission in NIT or IIT.At last I would like to say that if anyone have guts to get 300 marks in JEE-MAIN can surely get good marks in boards if he or she prepare in that particular fashion for sometime before boards.

If a dropper hasn't got 75% in boards will he only not be eligible for admission in IIT/NIT (in2017) or will he also be barred from giving JEE Mains'17?

Well the answer to your question would be as follows-If a dropper, for that matter anyone who is appearing jee 2017 isn't in the top 20 percentile of his respective board or below 75% whichever higher, is not eligible for admissions into iit and nit but nobody is going to bar you from giving the exam cause in general the results are out in the month of may, hence you can atleast appear the exam. Now coming back to the vital part, shouls you appear the exam and if so, why? It's simply because even if you don't manage to get into the top nit or iit, you still have the options in various other colleges like iiit, now i know some institutions that they'll enroll you and make you appear the improvement test next year so that you can steer past the minimum percentile in boards but that i have seen only in bits..Overall,No 75% in boards will barr you from admission into iit and nitPeace ✌
