Are Trump's NFL kneeling comments a way of distracting people from the issues of North Korea, the Muslim ban, and Russia?
Trump is doing his Matador bit waving the red flag of patriotism in front of his base; 1) to distract them from the big problems, and 2) to get even with the NFL!Trump has wanted to be involved in the NFL for a long time Trump's feud with NFL may be result of failures in USFL era. Trump’s plan was transparent: He wanted into the NFL. He was hoping to bring the NFL to its knees with a huge jury award, forcing a merger that would include his Generals. He was trying to turn his $5 million investment in the Generals into an NFL franchise, which were then valued at close to $100 million. If he had been successful, the Generals would be worth over $3 billion today. The court result was humiliating. When the jury read the verdict after a trial that took months, it found the NFL guilty of the most serious of the nine charges: Operating as a monopoly. The league never denied it was a monopoly but had argued the USFL's wounds were self-inflicted.The NFL was extremely nervous. Trump had a big smile on his face until the jury foreman announced it was awarding the USFL damages of just $1. Trebled under anti-trust law, it became $3. Trump's plan had backfired. He killed the USFL. Instead of remaining in the spring as it should have, the league folded. Trump holds grudges! He just got even with the NFL!!
Is Donald Trump terrorizing American Muslims?
Maybe, although he is not terrorizing the terrorists, just those who are not terrorists. Let’s face it, the terrorists are prepare to blow themselves up. How much worse could Trump’s terror be to them?What is happening, is that Trump is terrorizing America. That is the actual goal of terror. To produce uneasiness in an entire population. To get the nation fighting and destroying itself from within. To get the government to do their dirty work by harrassing their own citizens. Then the terrorists just sit back and watch it happen because their work is being done. They are getting rewarded for their efforts. That is how a handful of terrorists can bring down an entire Nation; by sowing fear and doubt in everyone’s mind.That is why ISIS loves Trump so much because he can incite hatred where Americans start to attack each other.It is not the number of people who die, but the new uncertainty that worries people. We lose 25,000 per year to traffic accidents but less than 100 to terrorism. We could reduce that 25,000 to only 15,000 say if we have stringent driver training and testing but we don’t put any effort into that at all; so does that mean that there is a terrorist/terrible motor vehicle conspiracy? Well yes there is actually but we chose to do nothing about it.Oddly, Trump’s anti terrorist actions are more likely to increase terrorism. Does the America’s meddling with Iran, Iraq and other Middle Eastern countries where we’ve caused the deaths of well over a million non combatants get those people angry? Sure it does. So when we now say we won’t take any homeless women, kids and old men make them even angrier? Sure does. So maybe the cure for terrorism is “be nice, be respectful” just like on Quora and create a dialogue with those people and be big hearted instead of helping to create a problem and then walk away.
What if there were no gun controls?
its impossible for there to be NO gun controls.... if NOTHING else, parents wont allow their infants and young children to have or carry them... inmates IN prison will NEVER be allowed to have or carry them, mental patients, the elderly suffering from Alzheimers, etc etc... SO... what we need is REASONABLE gun control, something the AMERICAN people gave up after Kennedy got shot. Gun control should mean being able to hit what you aim at and being responsible for what you aim at
Black Folk-Does anyone else think we should be celebrating Malcolm X instead of Martin Luther King?
Malcolm X cared more about black people. He didn't want integration because he knew it would be economic suicide for the masses of black people. Martin Luther King didn't think past integration, he wanted social equality. The only thing is, how are you going to integrate and have social equality when you don't own even 1% of America's resources. He went on to say, white people have the ability to hold you back from a job, since black people didn't deserted their position as head employers in the black community. Malcolm X wanted to stay separate but equal, meaning the already designated black area's of America back then would be all black controlled, black businesses, only competing for the black dollar. If the money stayed in the community, black people would never have to branch out so far, and spend their money in other communities. In other words, group economics. Black people abandoned this philosophy and it left a large portion and still a large segment of the black community slightly above the poverty line. He also petitioned for our 40 acres and a mule, meaning instead of the NBA/NFL hiring blacks, we would be hiring our own, and also be playing in our own black stadiums, bringing that economic advantage to a greater number or black people.
