Why SEARCH EMAILS does not work anymore in yahoo mail ?
The search feature hasn't been working correctly for the past few months, for some it's sporadic. Yahoo said they are trying to get it fixed. They don't know how long it will take. Many things have been affected while Yahoo is upgrading the servers.

I am having the same problem. Search used to work perfect. Then all of a sudden, it stopped. I have 3 Yahoo accounts, all with the same problem. I've had one since 1998, one since 2001 and one since 12-Jul-08. The mail app in general does not have a good search tool. This is due to the many different kinds of emails that can be set up on an iPhone. Gmail also limits its features when you use the APPLE mail app due to the company wanting you to download their Gmail app in the App Store.
Is anyone else having trouble with Yahoo Mail this morning? I can read and compose, but virtually no other functions work, even Reply.?
I'm having the same issue since last night. I've noticed that the URL displayed is https://mail.yahoo.com/d and I don't know where the "d" comes from. When I delete the "d" and hit enter, it still goes back to that same URL.

PDF files can contain images, and that image might be an image of text, but it isn't text that you can select or serach for. Some PDF files contain both images and text so that you see the text from the image, but the searching is done on the text portion. Your file is likely an image file. Even though the image is a picture of text, it isn't searchable.
