The Sl Enquirer One Of Second Life

Anyone know the latest research on immunizations?

One of my friends refuses to immunize her son because of all the metals in the shots? She says these metals can cause autism (her oldest son has autism and she blames his baby shots)? What is the research on this? Is anyone else refusing to get their baby immunized?

How can I find a friend that will help me with my personal problems and still be friends?

That's not what friends or acquaintances are for. That's what therapists, counselors, psychologist, psychiatrists, priests, nuns, pastors, 12 step programs, group therapy are for.Friends are not to be used to help you solve your problems. That is a side benefit if they want to do so. You're supposed to have fun with friends. Why would you think that's what friends are for? Did you read that somewhere or did you come up with that on your own?Lily, friends are not supposed to be gotten to help you with your problems. That is too hard on folks. It's burdensome to people after a while especially if you are a person that has lots of issues and problems.Asking for help once every two to three months is reasonable from friends. Beyond that is burdensome and selfish on your part.If you can't find friends and acquaintances, that may be why. You are expecting something that is not part of friendship per se. You ask this question over and over. Have you read what friendships are?

What is it like being a normal person who happens to be good friends with a celebrity?

Oh, I think it's an interesting aspect in my life, but it's not really life-changing.I have 3 friends that are celebrities. I have another friend who had a brush with fame as a musician in a top-ten 90's band.  The band is no longer together and I suppose he's considered a 'has been.' That being said, my (non-celeb) friends who are into music are starstuck when introduced to him.Of my three pals that are currently celebs I knew one of them before he became famous.  The other two I befriended quite randomly 5 years ago.   Knowing someone before they get famous in my opinion adds a layer of trust to the friendship, e.g. "I knew you before you were anyone..."As a result of my celeb friendships I've been to some fancy restaurants, hotels and events.  I have been contacted by the National Enquirer for gossip on one of my friends.  I have also been contacted by a major network who was trying to get in touch with one of my friends regarding a TV show.I change their names in my mobile for privacy reasons. Two of the three celeb friends travel for their work a lot so I only end up seeing them when they are in town.  They all complain about the industry and occasionally offer up some insider gossip.  Two of them are surprisingly down to earth people who have not let Hollywood get the best of them.  Two of them are extremely good-looking.When I go out with any of them we get lots of stares; well, I know people aren't staring at me. (Unless they are thinking "What is SHE doing with him?") It's something I can't get used to.  It feels really bizarre.  Sometimes people even take pictures. One problem I have faced is with my other (non-celeb) friends wanting me to put them in contact with my celeb pals.  I feel bad, but I say no on most occasions.  Another problem I once had was casually mentioning a bit of gossip I have heard from my celeb friends to my non-celeb friends.  I learned that lesson early on so now everything stays private.I wish I could say my life was like Entourage, but it's pretty normal.

Do girls fall in love or do they develop feelings after time?

Before I write my answer, I want to point out the humour that someone requested me, the aromantic, to answer this.Thankfully, I do know the answer.GUESS WHAT! The female race are people to! You know what that means? It means we can fall in love at first sight, it means we can take time to develop feelings, it means that maybe we do a bit of both. Both are possible and both probably happen in the life-time of a female’s life. Sometimes we are attracted quite early on, and sometimes we develop feelings over time, sometimes we are attracted by something very early on and then continue developing feelings as time progresses.Females aren’t all that different from males in this aspect.

Did Stormy Daniels really sleep with Trump? Trump has denied it over and over. I'm sure he knows if it were proven to be true, he would be in trouble. Do you think she is telling the truth or just trying to make money?

Oh, I think it’s pretty obvious that they had some sort of sex, or there wouldn’t have been anything to pay $130K for her silence over, would there? And that contract, which she’s now thoroughly violated, might cause an interesting legal conundrum for Trump. The contract she signed and accepted money for wasn’t done under any sort of duress, so there’s no reason it shouldn’t still be valid. He retains the power to sue her for breach of contract, at least in theory. However, he might be required under contract law to deny the allegations under discussion. If he up and admits them, it seems to me that he might as well be vacating the terms of the contract completely. He might lose any standing to sue.Furthermore, the contract might have language in it that mutually binds them both. Never mind that a porn star is unlikely to be nearly as offended at a politician/TV star saying he had sex with her, but it’s possible such contracts are binding on both parties keeping their mouths shut. After all, if Trump went on TV and admitted he had sex with her long before we even knew who she was, that really ought to release her from her obligations, right? I’m sure there’s a neat legalese, Latin phrase for “the cat’s out of the bag”, and she’d be free from that point forward to do what she’s doing now, namely what she’s done her whole adult life: make bank on having sex.So the idea of Trump admitting it is in the contract somewhere, implicitly or explicitly. That would mean he’s required to lie about the affair, just as a legal matter.I don’t know how that works if he’s actually deposed as a witness. Surely no contract can oblige a person to commit perjury, but can the courts just blithely tear up confidentiality contracts at will just by putting a person under oath?I’ll leave the question of how gentlemanly Trump is or isn’t behaving to one side. Questions about civilized or polite behavior on an issue like this would have to wait until we’ve got two entirely different people to talk about. Again, there must be a neat legal Latin phrase for “Your honor, it is so stipulated that these are two of the most horrible people, like, you know, ever.”

What are the most prestigious IB subjects?

Ugh wow this is quite the loaded question…Logically speaking, my opinion is that there aren’t any prestigious subjects in IB. Sure, the HL Science and Math(s) subjects are regarded as tough. So is HL English. Then again, why would you want to label those as prestigious if the students who do/don’t take them have different goals? If Student A wants to apply to Harvard for Med school then such a student would likely NEED to take Math(s) HL, Chemistry HL, and Biology HL. They wouldn’t be doing them because it’s prestigious. They would be doing them out of necessity.Similarly, if Student B wants to apply to Wharton for a degree in Economics then this student would likely NEED be taking subjects such as HL Business, HL Economics, and HL English/Philosophy (it’s just theoretical). Again, these would be subjects they take out of necessity. Is Student A taking more prestigious subjects in this case or Student B?How can you justify that when they both have different goals in mind? One wants to study Medicine and one wants to study Economics.Yes, you could argue Medicine is harder/more prestigious than Economics but my point is, if you’re taking tougher subjects in IB just because they seem more prestigious then you’ve got the wrong mindset. You pick subjects depending on what you want to apply to university for (or what you want to do in life if not university/college). Not because one is more prestigious than the other.I’m sure that wasn’t the intent of the question though. There’s no doubt that some subjects in IB are tougher than others but seeing them as more prestigious…well I personally wouldn’t go as far as saying that. But hey, that’s just my opinion.

What is the IB board like?

International baccalaureate(IB) is one of the hardest high school “boards” currently available. It's not only rigorous and (college level)difficult, but also requires constant dedication and good time-management from the students. There are 2 choices with IB: IB Diploma or IB Certificate. IB Certificate is the “easier” out of the two as it only requires to study the courses that you like and not do any of the “extra things”.While IB Diploma is the more comprehensive and rigorous out of the two. It requires you to take 6 core classes, 3 or 4 at Higher Level and others at standard. Along with that a compulsory TOK(Theory of knowledge or Epistemology) class, CAS activies (sports, service clubs and creative clubs) and Extended essay(a 4000 word independent research paper). For every single subject in IB, you not only need to take the final IB exams and internal projects, but do an independent IA(Internal assessment) i.e. a research paper written in about 1500–2000 words on a topic inside that subject area.Due to all this factors, the IB workload is not only insane, but consistent i.e. you don’t slack off here and work extremely hard there but rather keep up the good job. IB is famed across the world for it’s rigorous Diploma program, which prepares you well for any college experience. It’s a board that is recognised and used for admission criteria in over a 100 countries. Hence, I conclude that IB board, although difficult and demanding, gives an overall holistic education experience which also boosts your chances of getting into any university.Best of Luck for your upcoming high school experience!
