Theme Hospital Origin download won t work?
I have a Windows 7 Dell PC. Origin is recently giving Theme Hospital out for free. I downloaded it and pressed play, but it only makes sounds it doesn t pull up the main menu or anything to click on. I started task manager and when I clicked around it I could see part of the game and was able to click on a few things, but I want it to work properly. Any suggestions?
Installing a game on Vista...?
thats strange, i had a similar problem with another game, but it worked when I ran it under the windows 95 mode. I found a discussion board though and this worked for one person ""Update the drivers for your graphics card. If that doesn't work, re-install the game and when it asks you if you want to install DirectX, click on Yes. The old version will have some things that newer versions don't have (because they're redundant or whatever)". Updating your drivers is always a good idea, and you can always update DirectX again very simply"
What website can i download Theme Hospital for free?
There are Theme Hospital Windows Vista / Windows 7 compatible versions here: https://btjunkie.org/torrent/Theme-Hospi... OR here: https://torrentz.eu/search?f=Theme+Hospi... Download the Theme Hospital update and install it if you haven't already: http://dlh.net/cgi-bin/dlp.cgi?lang=eng&... Get the No-CD crack here (from gamecopyworld.com ), if the installer you got doesn't have one: http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_theme_hospital.shtml If it doesn't work, try running the game as an administrator (right click the game's .EXE file and then go to Properties->Compatibility->Priviledge Level) and in Windows 98 compatibility mode (if it doesn't work, try Windows 95 compatibility mode). If it still doesn't work or you are still having problems, try disabling desktop composition, disabling visual themes, display scaling on high DPI settings, running in 256 colors and in 640x480 resolution. Also, try this reimplementation of the Theme Hospital game engine, designed for modern Operating Systems like Windows 7 and Vista (and should work better than vanilla Theme Hospital in Vista/Windows 7 [requires the original Theme Hospital be installed as it uses the original game's resources]): CorsixTH https://code.google.com/p/corsix-th/ Another thing to make sure is: that you have the latest version of DirectX 9.0c, the June 2010 update (needed by old games, including Theme Hospital). As far as I know, the latest version of DirectX 9 is not included by default with Vista and Windows 7 (even if DirectX 10 or DirectX 11 is already installed). You can get it here: Standalone Installer http://www.filehippo.com/download_directx/ Web Installer http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en When installing old games like Theme Hospital in Windows Vista or 7, do not install in the 'Program Files' folder. Vista and Windows 7 have put restrictions on access to the 'Program Files' or 'Program Files (x86)' folder (this where 64 bit Windows installs 32 bit programs), which may cause incompatibilities with older games. I personally install old games in the 'C:\Games\NameOfGameWithoutSpaces' folder (some old games might have issues if there are spaces in the game directory name).
Can somebody suggest me a top desktop specs of $2500 budget?!?
Mac good for gaming hahaha, one of the funniest things I've heard all day. AMD is kind of funky right now since its transitioning into its AM3 phase but its flagship processor is still an AM2+ socket. Anyhow this is probably what I would recommend for the the AMD side. I went for value rather than top end in this AMD build. AMD Phenom II X3 720 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...
