There Are Sneakers That Cost 170 How Much Are They Gonna Cost After Tax

There are sneakers that cost 170 how much are they gonna cost after tax?

As others have mentioned, you need your sales tax rate. You can get it at http://www.sale-tax.com and use http://www.sale-tax.com/Calculator?price... to get the total. For example, my sales tax rate is 9.5% so I'd have to pay $186.15 for the shoes.

Is $90 the going price for sneakers, or is that too much for a 12 year old?

shoes are one of those things where you'll get what you pay for. if the kid is going to get a lot of use out of them, I'd absolutely buy them. $100 for good shoes is fairly normal -- I used to work in a shoe store. yes, you can get $20 shoes or find something on sale or at a discount store -- but things on sale and things in discount stores are things that don't sell well. if he likes the shoes he likes, it'll be hard to find a comparable version.

"If your kid asks for something for their birthday, and you can afford it, would you? Or does the fact that there are cheaper alternatives (even though they don't care for it) make you want to get the cheaper?"

I'd rather give one high quality thing than a bunch of cheaper alternatives. I'd rather have once nice pair of shoes than 5 pairs of crappy shoes. I appreciate quality over quantity -- and in the case of shoes, more expensive shoes are just better because they're made with better materials that will last longer and they're more likely to have better support and structure.

Do some people buy a new iPhone every time a new model comes out? Why?

Let’s break down the costs of buying a new iPhone every year against the cost of buying an iPhone every three years. I will assume that the owner sells their old phone when they buy another phone, and that they buy a medium priced iPhone ($750).An iPhone typically depreciates from $750 to about $440 in one year (based on values on Swappa.com). In addition, most people have to pay sales tax when they purchase the phone (lets assume $50) each time they buy a phone. When they sell their old phone, let’s assume a $25 transaction fee. To simplify it all: the cost of a new iPhone each year is $825 - $440 (depreciated value) = $385 annually. That’s a lot of money, but keeping an iPhone for three years is not free! Let’s take the same $825 figure, and subtract the residual value of the iPhone after three years ($180—again, values from Swappa) = $645. Divide $645 by 3 (number of years) and you come up with a cost of $215 annually. The difference in cost of buying a new iPhone each year works out to about $170 more annually than someone that keeps their iPhone for three years.Whether this is a good value proposition depends on the individual and their interests and financial circumstances. To each their own!

What is the least expensive way to ship to China from the U.S.?

Shipping from the US to China is much more expensive than vice versa. Why that is, is debatable though one could assume that volume and cost of living has to do with it.That being said, the cheapest way to ship a 1lb parcel from the US to China is using USPS - it will cost you $16.75 if you use First Class Mail. Unfortunately, if you go with 1st Class you don't really get any guarantees: no tracking number, no signature upon receipt and no guaranteed arrival date.Next up is Priority Mail Small Flat Rate Box which costs $23.95. That box is relatively small (8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8"), so you'd have to make sure your item fits in there. Your next option is using Express Mail which costs $51.35. With Express Mail you can pay extra to get tracking. USPS provides you with two delivery options for Express Mail: 6-10 business days and 3-5 business days to arrival. It is important to note that arrival time is not guaranteed.Your last, and most expensive, option with USPS is Global Express Guaranteed (GXG). This is the only service USPS offers with a guaranteed arrival date. For 1lb you'll pay around $85 - the price is based on weight and whether you're sending a parcel or envelope. Note though that to use GXG you must go to a very specific post office - few USPS locations offer that service. In downtown San Francisco, for instance, there's only 1 location that supports GXG.Finally, you can use a major courier like UPS. With UPS shipping 1lb starts at $92 (for Beijing). Unlike USPS, UPS charges different prices (above $92) depending on the parcel's destination in China.Freight forwarding companies or parcel consolidators are definitely going to be cheaper than the options above, though they're not feasible alternatives if you only plan on shipping a few parcels a year. Likewise, if you have a business account, meaning you send a much higher number of parcels every year, you'll likely be able to negotiate the price with your courier. Again, that option is not available to individuals who occasionally ship abroad.

How Much Tax for Jordan Shoes?

Well as of April 1, 2012 there will be a 4% tax on clothing and shoes costing more than $110.00. Plus because you live in the five boroughs you will also pay an additional 0.375% because you are in the Metropolitan Commuter Transportation District (MCTD)

Therefore, on a shoe costing $160 you will be paying $6.40 + $0.60 = $167.00.

So if you go to the store with $170 you'll be str8. However, if you are looking to be buying them Air Jordan 12 Playoffs you better already be in line. lol
