There Is Any Legal Restriction Or Any Risk In Publishing Duplicate Apps In Play Store

Web Scraping: Is it legal to create a website that displays and uses data of other websites?

It's a grey area, lots of web sites use this blanket statement almost word for word:Unless we separately give you permission, you may not copy, scrape, frame, modify, remove, delete, augment, add to, publish, transmit, participate in the transfer or sale, lease or rental of, create derivative works from, or in any way exploit any of the Content, in whole or in part. They also put a copyright on their web page which has more power.  Protecting their intellectual information, this is from What Does Copyright Protect? (FAQ) copyright.gov.Can I copyright my website? The original authorship appearing on a website may be protected by copyright. This includes writings, artwork, photographs, and other forms of authorship protected by copyright. Procedures for registering the contents of a website may be found in Circular 66, Copyright Registration for Online Works. As G. Ruch says ToC have no teeth, but Copyright does and you could find yourself with a Cease & Desist Letter see Use of Online Data in the Big Data Era: Legal Issues Raised by the Use of Web Crawling and Scraping Tools For Analytics Purposes .  Now if you live outside of the country you are scraping and your country has lax copyright law, then you have nothing to worry about.

Why can't you make a photocopy or scan of your birth certificate in some US states?

The primary role of a notary is to prevent fraud. A notary should not assist someone to commit fraud. Some states, including Colorado, authorize notaries to make a certified copy of an original document. But the notary may not make a certified copy of a copy because of the risk of document tampering and fraud.Copies of vital records including birth and death certificates, marriage and divorce certificates, should be ordered directly from the agency that issued the original document. The issuing agency will include their authentication seal.Publicly recorded documents, such as a real estate deed, should be ordered directly from the document custodian, such as the county clerk and recorder. Some documents originate as a computer file and are born digital. The paper copy is just a printout of the computer file.If a document says it is illegal to duplicate, do not make a copy. Request a copy from the issuing agency. Some documents are issued on special security paper with built-in security features including ultra-violet (UV) ink or microprinting. If you make a copy using regular paper, the security features will be missing. Upon inspection, the document can be proven to be a copy, not an original. Some security paper will cause the word Void to be displayed if a copy is made.Cybersecurity technology is becoming available using block-chain techniques that allow an electronic document to be sent securely over the Internet from the source to the destination. Special computers known as notary servers can check the metadata of the document to verify tamper-proof delivery. A notary server is a name used in cybersecurity and is not related to a human notary serving as a government official.Disclaimer: I am not an attorney and this information is not legal advice.

Can someone in India misuse a blank paper with my signature at the bottom right? To what degree?

Gone thru all the answers. As an experienced trial lawyer, I can suggest many number ofways the signed paper can be misused. No doubt you can defend if the matter goes to court. But you could be cheated in many number of ways without going to court. I do notwish to elaborate on this matter and give suggestions which could be misused. If the signature on the paper is yours then send a notice to the person to whom you had giventhe signed paper, explaining the circumstances under which you had to sign a blank paperand make it clear that there was no writing and your signature was taken under coercionIf that person fills up the blank page, then you can always challenge the age of ink andspace discrepancy in the document. My above statement is not only for India but universal.www.notarychennai.com

How can I copyright my app?

Just found this thread, but actually, filing early is better than filing after it is complete. You can file for patents based on the moment of conception. Software isn't like most things that a person would patent or copyright - as it is an intellectual property, not a solid thing. What you need before you go in to see a lawyer is a fully written concept of what the application does, what it uses (story boards of the interface are great for this purpose) and a ton of money. A good patent lawyer will charge $200 to $500 an hour. They will need your full concept and design to research others that may have already had the idea - think of Apple's slide to unlock patent here - and if your idea will infringe on any of the claims that your software has. After that, there is about a 2 year waiting period before a full patent is granted - until then you will have a patent pending status.Copyrighting software is doing nothing more than securing the final code that is used in your App. Once your app is finalized, you simply submit it to US Copyright Office and they will time and date stamp it for you. It is just like any other media - book, magazine, etc... - so that process is simple. If you are looking in to names, Android1993 is totally correct - Trade Marking is the way to do this one. Unless it's a business name in which case registering the business name is usually cheaper and faster. For any Legal and Accounting support, Happy to help you, let us talk at Wazzeer - Smart Platform for Legal, Accounting & Compliance services.

If anyone online can view a page's HTML source code, then isn't it easy to steal someone's code? How are web developers or website designers able to protect the code for the websites they design?

you can copy all the "visible side" of the web site by a simple "ctrl+u" and understand how the front end is done by following all the links (.js and .css) and read it.As a full stack developer I do that to understand how websites with interesting features work and do stuff. You can even change the behaviour of the website by hitting F12 and play around with code (css, javascript, html). That's a great of LEARNING new technologies, techniques and understand how front end works. This technique works just fine with "simple" websites, one page web sites but not with more complex ones that have server side code. You can copy the front side and that's a great way to understand and learn new things but major web sites have their main/major and interesting code server side not front side.I develop Bootstrap, HTML5 and wordpress websites, templates and plugins.I'm I afraid that "pirates" will "steal" my code ? absolutely not.sharing is caring.let them copy, steal, copycat as they please.People know you're the first to create that website so they will come back to you and your site. You're not static, you improve your skills every day, the website you've created today is not as perfect and evolved as the next one.So don't worry about "copyright" and move on, copycat major websites on your desktop in order to understand how they do their visual stuff and then do something better.Even on templates and code marketplaces, buyers don't buy just plain HTML websites and want more complex, dynamic, responsive web sites so even if, let's say, I copycat the front end and visual effect of your templates, I'll, always, miss the real code that does everything because it's on a server side.Share your code and you'll become an authority in the field and people will thank you for letting them download and understand your code and learn new stuff.Afraid of people stealing your code? don't publish it :)
