Neck Pain after Drinking alcohol????
So for that past 3 months or so I have had some neck pain and or jaw pain after drinking alcohol. It is pretty mild now but nonetheless a neusance. It is difficult to describe since I have not felt anything like it before, but it kind of feels sorta achy and non-chronic. What freaks the hell outta me is that everytime I search "neck pain alcohol" on google I get stories about people who experience the same thing as me and end up getting hodgkins lymphoma. But what I really want to know is if there are other causes for this or if 100% of people who get this pain get hodgkins.
Aching pain in my arm after drinking alcohol the night before?
Think about whether this pain feels more like muscle pain or more like joint pain. Joints are where bones come together; in the arm: the shoulder, the elbow, and the wrist. The pain may radiate throughout your arm, but does it feel like it *originates* in a joint or a muscle or can't you tell? (Sounds like a good reason to have some more drinks, just to find out, LOL. Research is a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it in the name of science. Might as well be you!) Muscles can have a painful build-up of lactic acid as part of a hangover effect after too much alcohol. That causes pain but usually that kind of pain is not localized to one limb like an arm. Could be that though. It also could be something as simple as sleeping wrong on that arm after drinking that you don't do when going to sleep sober. But if you think the pain may be coming from an arm joint, I wonder if you may be seeing an early sign of gout. Does an arm joint feel warmer to the touch? Drinking tends to cause localized joint pain in gout patients. An arm is not the most common location for this, but it is possible. You can read more about gout and the relation of alcohol to it by clicking this link: http://my.clevelandclinic.org/orthopaedi... Do some websearching of "muscle pain after drinking" or "joint pain after drinking." You'll find lots of discussion and maybe get a better idea. Cheers.

What causes muscle pain immediately after drinking alcohol?
No matter what kind of alcohol I consume (beer, rum, whisky, margaritas, etc.), I almost immediately get muscle aches in my biceps (arms) and quadriceps (thighs) that range from moderate aching to severe burning. I have always had this, most notably in my legs, even before being on any kind of medication... so I know it's not a conflict with meds. So what are the possible causes of this? (I don't drink anymore because of the pain, but I am curious...)

Try to consume less next time.
Why do I get neck pain when I drink alcohol?
Fact 1: Alcohol addiction from two parts per thousand disguises the painThe central nervous system (CNS) is an important target organ of alcohol.Alcohol comes as a small molecule through each cell wall of the body, is quickly absorbed and quickly distributed in the body. For more detail visit this article. After drinking alcohol, it is already absorbed in the mouth and throat area. The main part, however, is absorbed by the body in the stomach and small intestine. How quickly alcohol is absorbed and thus also develops its pain-relieving effect depends on whether you have eaten before, as well as the type of alcohol.Carbonated drinks, such as sparkling wine, accelerate alcohol intake, as they mechanically irritate the stomach and intestinal wall and promote the circulation of the mucous membrane.Scientific studies have shown that alcohol attacks specific neuronal areas. This involves so-called receptors and signaling pathways of neurotransmitters.acetylcholineAlcohol causes a decreased acetylcholine concentration.Acetylcholine receptors are found on the musculature, brain and heart. The effect on the musculature leads to the known uncertain gait. The heart, in turn, beats slower. In addition, the unsafe movements probably also result from a reduction in blood flow in the cerebellum, which is responsible for the course and coordination of the motor system.dopamineAlcohol causes an increase in dopamine and thus a positive influence on the body's brain reward system as well as an improved moodSerotonin and norepinephrineAlcohol causes a decrease in the neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine. This increases aggressive and depressive behavior.Endorphins and enkephalinsIncreased alcohol consumption leads to an increase in endorphins and enkephalins.

Why did my legs get numb after drinking alcohol?
I'm a 22 yo female. I haven't drank alcohol for 3 years, and for this recent new years I decided to have 1 glass of wine, and 1 glass of champagne, just to celebrate. Immediately, after only a couple sips, my legs felt significantly numb, as if they were asleep, and had a strong tingling sensation (This never happened to me when I used to drink when I was younger) and This lasted for about 15-20 minutes. I don't have diabetes history at all in my family, and I don't abuse alcohol, so it wouldn't be alcoholism.
