Thinking About Learning To Program

I’m very poor at programming but I’m thinking of learning Android developer, DevOps, Oracle DBA, or Sequel. Which one is the best option for me to learn?

All of these needs some programming knowledge before. You should start learning the programming knowledge. If you want to start at beginning, my recommendation is to choose python programming. Because it's dynamic and easy to learn as a fresher. You can also start learning Oracle DBA with a little knowledge about programming. But if you want to be a master in DBA, then you must have to learn programming language like PLSQL.

I have been thinking about learning to code on my own rather than taking classes. What are some ways to do this?

Hey! One can start basics of coding on his own. Find the various apps & websites shared below:Best coding websites for kids - CoderZ4 iPad coding apps for kids11 Websites To Learn To Code For Free In 2017Moreover, you can join forums and connect with beginners to share and exchange a piece of knowledge regarding coding.

I'm thinking about learning how to program, what languages are good for beginners and why?

If you’re looking to be a game developer, you have a few natural choices. If you want to learn a programming language to serve as foundation for more complex work, I would recommend C#. It may not be as easy to learn initially as some of the other languages, but it will help you learn to write clear, concise code. It will also encourage you to code in a style that makes thing easy when you contribute to a large code base. Additionally, Visual Studio is a great programming environment. It also helps that Unity, one of the most popular game development frameworks out there, uses C#.If you’re looking to get started quickly in game development, want to build up a portfolio fast, or care more about game development than general programming, I would recommend Javascript (not to be confused with Java). Compared to C#, JS will let you write your first game much more quickly. It is also the language of the browser, so you will spend less time getting set up with the framework. However, Javascript makes it very, very easy to do thing the wrong way. So if you switch to a different programming language like C# or C++ down the road, you might find yourself struggling a bit more.

Do you think learning to program quantum computers will be a valuable skill in the near future?

It’s tough to say that quantum computing is anywhere in the foreseeable future. Advancements in the field are made in fits and starts, and practically speaking there are no employers in need of quantum programmers right now. The development of quantum algorithms is still firmly in the territory of math and physics, and those are the areas of expertise in demand right now. What will be needed, when the time comes, is somebody to help write the interface/language to interact with quantum computers in the first place. Much like the first programming languages of the 50s and 60s, however, these will likely be developed by the math types rather than the computer science types. An understanding of the underlying physics will be more important than any proficiency in programming.

Does programming change the way you think and see things?

Yes, it does!If you are a good programmer, you are also a good problem solver, have good analytical skills, you know how to break down the problems and apply the resources optimally to solve the problem. These skills also apply to our life as well. When you have to program a complex logic, do you panic, or do you break it down and know it well, that you will be able do do it ! If latter, then definitely you will handle your problems in life the similar way!Programming improves your analytical, logical skills, and those skills are certainly useful in your life as well. You know how to achieve a tangible thing with an abstract approach. That's what you do in life as well. Achieve tangible results by intangible efforts!Cheers !! :D

Best programming language to learn?

I'm in 9th grade right now but I'm certain that I want to do something programming related when I grow up. I know there are hundreds of programming languages out there but what do you think (in general) is the best language to learn for programming in Windows? I want to get a head start and start learning now so when I get in college I will be more prepared so I started learning C++.

How can you learn to think before learning to code?

Like Nick said, no need for "before".That being said, learn mathematics. The same abstract thought used for math is also often tremendously useful in programming. Formal logic doesn't hurt either.
