Thinking Of Buying A New Corolla. Its A 2011 With 8000 Miles

Is Buying a Nissan 350Z For Under 10,000 worth it?

If you have $9000 already. Just buy one that costs a bit more. $14,000. Get a $5000 loan and pay it off with monthly payments. If you can afford that. $150-300/month.

I would say it is worth it anyways.

After 5 years of saving through min. wage jobs, I had $5000 to spend. That was 2 years ago so I started my search for a car. I found a Porsche Boxster for less than $10,000 and I went for it. I took out a loan for the other $5000 which I am still paying off 2 years later. I love the car and don't regret it. Life is short.

Opinions on buying a Chevrolet Cruze?

I am a 17 year old girl going to college in the fall. i have a job and make on average around $500 a month...i have $2,000 saved in savings and i am getting a $7,723 from my insurance company..and i am looking to buy a car. im interested in the chevrolet cruze and i would put a large down payment ($7,000-$8,000) so my monthly payment will be well below $200. any opinions on if this is a good idea or should i just get a used car? i want a nice car with good gas mileage that i can depend on...and i really like the cruze. i would like to get a car and keep it for a very long time. thanks!

How much is a used 2011 Toyota Corolla worth today?

Depends on what model you have. If you have the base Toyota Corolla sedan it would depend how many miles it would be. It was also depend on who he bought it from. Private parties are usually cheaper then buying at a used dealership.

2011 Toyota Corolla
0 miles= $14,000-$16,000
1-20,000 miles= $12,000-$14,000
20,000-50,000 miles = $10,000-$11,999
50,000-75,000 miles=$9,000-$11,000
75,000-100,000 miles =$8,000-$10,000
100,000+ miles=$6,000-$10,000

If you bought it from a private seller expect a thousand dollar less compared to a used car dealership.

Also it depends on the condition of the car. If the material and seats are in good condition then it will be more.

Average mileage a year is 12,000-15,000 so since its two years long I'm assuming about 30,000 miles?

30,000 miles, good condition, no dents= $10,000-$12,000

Is buying a toyota prius worth it?

If your main quest is to save money yes. A used one will cost you the same as any other used car that size will (as long as you pick one up before gas prices really spike).

The batteries are fine. They posters on here who tell you to worry about it are people who've never owned one. Toyota hybrid batteries are well engineered and last the lifetime of the car. As someone who's owned a Prius and three other hybrids and spends his whole day taking cars apart and putting them back together I can tell you that aside from not going through very many brake pads the Prius is physically just like any other car. A synergy/IMA drive is also more reliable than a turbo or a supercharger.

I'm sure there's Toyota techs on here who have seen it but I've never even heard of a Toyota hybrid battery crapping-out from wear, just from warranty defects. The current sticker for a battery (if you're crazy enough to buy one from a dealer) is $3,938. Salvage yards sell them for $350-$500 apiece. There's 15 of them right now on car-part.com within 100 miles of me so it's not exactly a hard part to get if you ever needed it.

I didn't find it very comfortable for long-distance driving but some people do. I have a Highlander Hybrid now but still think about the 55mpg I got with the Prius (as opposed to 30 with this) every time I fill it up.

I would agree to stay away from 1st generation. Buy 2004 and up models.
