Thoughts On The Show Supernatural

How do you want the show Supernatural to end?

Bloody, and with everyone dying.First I would introduce a big bad they actually can’t defeat. The authors should get away from that angel-demon-hell-heaven story lines, they are halfway there already, come up with an original thought, a real threat, something that for a change isn’t reluctant to use these omnipotent powers that Amara, Lucifer and Co. are sporting, but somehow always keep for themselves. Then they should one after the other kill of the cast, thin out the herd, make it bloody, make it sad, even get rid of Baby for all I care. It has to hurt. AND DON’T TF BRING THEM BACK. Then eventually it will become clear that sacrificing one brother will end it. It should be Dean, since Sam is more willing to let his brother go. Then, when the smoke is cleared, the world is saved once more without knowing how close it has come to end, Sam is alone, Dean’s dead, Cas’s dead, Mary’s dead, Bobby 2.0′s dead, there is no heaven anymore since all the angels are dead, hell’s a mess and no threat anymore, and Sam sits on Dean’s grave, drinks to the one’s they lost, gets in his car and drives away, and last what we see is a message popping up on his phone, some random hunter that was shortly introduced earlier, asking him if he might be interested in a gig, looks like a bunch of weres. Sam casts a sad look on the passanger seat, a bitter sweet smile appears, he readjusts the rear view mirror and drives off in the sunset.THE END

CWTV show supernatural okay for Catholics?

There are pagan gods and witchcraft, yes, but they aren't shown in a good light (most of the time). God and the Angels are very old testament. They're soldiers, not guardians. God is out of the picture but seeing as how we haven't seen him, one can't say whether or not if he is truly friend or foe.

My dad loves the show and he takes the bible very seriously. He had problems with some of the religious aspects, such as the fact that Lucifer "doesn't lie" or the fact that the Angels torture, but the story has drawn him in so that he's still hooked regardless of his religious disagreements.

If it makes you feel any better, for seasons 1-2 they had a catholic priest as a creative consultant to help with the more religious aspects of the story.

The root douglass carried was thought to have supernatural powers?

He realized that Mr. Covey's so-called religious devotion was far more powerful, or influential, than the root. As stated in the story:
"...had the day been other than Sunday, I should have attributed Covey's altered manner solely to the magic power of the root. I suspected, however, that the Sabbath, and not the root, was the real explanation of Covey's manner."

Christians: do any of u watch the show Supernatural? What are your thoughts on this season God vs Satan theme?

One of my favorite shows on this face of the earth, but I have no thoughts on it other than a purely entertainment way. I do believe judgment day will come, but it is not going to be anything like we are seeing on this show. Some people will be cast into hell, but Satan is not going to come out of hell rule the world.

Supernatural fans, who thought dean's line from last night was funny?

I love Dean's one liners - they're legendary I think!!
I think the "I'm Batman!" line is a classic Dean moment, I love that line so much I've got a coffee mug with the quote printed on it.

And the "Don't objectify me" line to Bela from 'Red Sky At Morning" was adorable too.

But, Dean doesn't even have to say anything to be cute and funny, some of his expressions are just priceless - one of my favourites is the moment in 'Lazarus Rising' when Bobby chucks the holy water in his face just as he's in the middle of explaining how he came back from the dead. That just cracked me up because it was such a serious scene : )

I think the best moments in the show are the displays of brotherly love we get from Sam and Dean - I think somebody already mentioned the moment in 'Mystery Spot' where Sam walks over to Dean and hugs him towards the end of the episode - aahhhhh :*(

And what about Sam dying in Dean's arms in 'All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1' and then the look on Dean's face in 'All Hell Breaks Loose Part 2' when he arrives back from the crossroads to find Sam alive and he gives him a huge hug too aaaaaaahhhhhhh :*(

Christian views on TV show Supernatural?

I am a Christian and have had the same thoughts myself. But I love the show. I do not believe they are being disrespectful to God. I think what happens is they have normal human feelings and human doubts about Him (which you will see in later seasons). I think they ask the question if God is real a lot, but never really answer it. I think it is left up to the viewer to decide. I know many people who do not believe in God and they just assume that in the Supernatural world there is no God, while others who do believe assume that God is there.

I have heard the writer's say in different interviews that Supernatural is not a "Christian" show, but a show that deals with those issues. They do not try to answer anything but use it to, at least, get the viewer to think outside of the box.

I have felt uncomfortable at times with certain story lines, but never felt they were mocking God. That would just be wrong and I do not think that would happen.
