Three Different Hair Colors Problems Dying Here

Can I dye my hair with two different colors in one day?

I would be able to advise more accurately seeing the level of your current hair color, but here are some important basics to know:If you put a store-bought color system on your hair at your level (same darkness) or darker, then it is just depositing the pigment into your hair. If you put a store-bought color system on your hair lighter than your current level, then it will slightly lighten and deposit pigment (even if it's not labeled as a "bleach" it can still lift your color with the ammonia in most color formulas). It is impossible to get predictable highlights (using lifting/lightening) without bleach, especially if you've just colored over it. This is because the color eliminating molecules in lifting formulas have to "eat through" the synthetic  pigment you just colored over your hair on top of your existing natural pigments! If you are trying to achieve a richer base shade (close to your natural color) with a subtle lighter shade to give your hair natural dimension, it is best to see a professional who can do both processes safely, usually in one appointment. There is always the possibility that at home hair color kits have developers in them that are way too strong for your hair (manufactures do this because the color systems have to be strong enough to work on all different textures and levels of hair) and can cause major damage.I know that most DIY hair dye jobs I see are either too subtle to please the client or too damaging and their hair gets fried. I'm not going to tell you that ALL at home dye kits are bad, but they are not personalized or predictable, so I say proceed with caution!

Why do some teenagers dye their hair different colors?

I dyed my hair pink for the first time when I was 13 years old. I was in a horrible state of mind, bullied in school for I'd never fit in with my cheap clothes, my dad (whom is a very uptied and old fashioned) didn't like the fact that I was a "rebelious girl". He'd always wanted a boy who could carry on hos life time legacy (a farm). My mother never really gave a sh*t about me on the other hand; I practically never saw her even though I lived with her.I guess I just thought my life couldn't be worse, and really wanted to get an identity that at least made people think I wasn't ashamed for not being what everybody wanted me to be. That was when I first dyed my hair. At first I didn't really like it myself and neighter did my surroundings. After a while I really started to like it, dying it gave me an incredible boost of self esteem, an "identity" and I slowly began to stop feeling like a nobody. The kid's in school stopped callning me names and I wore my torn out clothes with confidence.I continued having different all colors in my hair, purple, green, yellow, red, orange, white, black and finally brown. I just never liked any of this and just kept going pink. Now it has been 9 years and I am still proud and pink. I work as a cleaner and I meet a lot of different people, and my hair havn't been a problem for me. Like any haircolor; natural or unatural I think that everybody has a preference in how they feel most confident and or proud. It might start as a identity crise or just as a try, but However I think every color should be okay. If you wear it with pride and for yourself!Call me childish, but I still can't think of myself with a natural haircolor. I might "get over it", maybe not.. Only time will tell!(Excuse me if my english isn't perfect, I do blame it on me being s Swede ;))

Temporary hair dye problem?

It's best to let the color fade on its own, since that will bring her closest to her natural hair color. You can attempt to remove the dye with color stripper like loreal color zap or one n' only (both found at sally beauty supply) but they will most likely leave her with a lighter color than she started with, and it could be copper/orange in tone. If you want a fool-proof method, see a stylist!

Does dying your hair with food coloring hurt your hair?

I don't think it will it is more safe then dying it with hair colors. The only problem you might have is if your hair is dark you might be able to see the color. If your hair is dark you might want to try dying it with kool-aid. Yeah I know this sounds a little strange but it works. If you want to try it here are the directions: Wash your hair first, then put the kool-aid in your hair (you might need 2 to 3 packs if your hair is long), finally you put in the conditioner and blow dry. The kool-aid does not hurt your hair at all. My friend does it all the time and her hair looks amazing. If you want to wash it out just take some shampoo lather really good and then rinse. Hope this helps you out.

Can I bleach my hair after dying it black ? confused?

Okay so here is the deal, I'm a guy with long hair down to the middle of my back and 2 months ago i decided i need a change in color so I bought permanent black dye for like 4 dollars - the boxed kind, I went home and applied it - worked great, 3 days later i noticed the color was fading and now after 2 months its back to its original color which is a medium to dark brown, Now i want to have it bleached blond - not white but really really blond,

I went to a salon and told the lady my whole story how i put the black in and how it faded etc.. etc .. and she said to me yes i can make it the color you want but ill have to do corrective colouring to make sure all the dye is out then ill apply bleach and a toner but you will have some damage afterwords so you will have to deep condition once a week - not a big deal.

Here is my problem ! I read so many stories like mine and i always read that if you've used the box type hair color that no salon in their right mind will touch your hair , this woman at the salon said she would do mine - so the final question is would it be safe for me to let her try it ?
Thanks for any help

Can you put hair color on wet hair?

If you are looking to dye your hair with a permanent Color then NOOOOOO…. It will not take, lift the color PROPERLY and you will most likely have a negative, not very happy, result! When the hair is dry, it soaks up the hair color, giving the true to color result. When the hair is wet, it is already soaked up with the water which leaves very little room for the hair color to get throughBUT NOW… IF you are only using a rinse or cellophane colors then YES, YOU CAN apply it to wet, towel dried hair. No prob.AND here is a tip when it comes to BLEACH… NEVER EVER, EVER APPLY BLEACH CHEMICALS TO WET or even damp hair! Your hair will absolutely, % BURN, FRY, turn into Cotton Candy and could possibly even leave bald patches.Like I always say… you should have your hair done by a licensed professional colorist for the best results
