Throat And Sometimes Chest Hurt When I Smell Purfume

My throat hurts when I smell perfume.?

I smelled a little of lančomes perfume and now my throat hurts it stings and burns. Like a sore throat but worse. It has happened to me before. Please help me figure out what it is. And any suggestions on how to get rid of my throat hurting?

Why does perfume give me a headache?

you want to get the the nitty gritty of it, the headache is caused by your nose!!! strange right? its because Perfume is an irritant. For people with sensitivity to certain smells, many things can trigger headaches. When your nose comes into contact with a irritating, strong smell it reacts by swelling blood vessels in the nose which run through out the sinus. This causes pressure in the sinus and the head. Giving you a headache. The only way to stop it is to avoid it, but its pretty difficult. So keeping some pain reliever around is good, or a OTC allergy medicine sometimes works. I take a Claritin before going to the grocery store, because cleaners, and air fresheners give me a terrible headache when they are concentrated like that in a aisle. Otherwise it doesn't bother me when I am in my home.

Why does it slightly burn when i spray perfume on my neck/chest area?

It's most likely sensitive skin. I have the same problem, and if I don't take a shower within 24 hours of putting it on, i usually turn a bit red. I have really fair skin too, and most of us have sensitive skin, just be careful not to use anything too harsh and you'll be fine :)

Upon inhaling some cologne, few minutes later my chest hurt a bit more and felt irritated. Is this asthma?

I'm already on antihistamines so it's not really an allergy. But upon inhaling certain things such as cologne/perfume, hair products, certain cosmetics, etc, fragrances, they seem to produce a reaction in me that can be described as "irritating." My chest starts to feel a bit disturbed/bothered by the smell, and I never get a full blown asthma attack with the wheezing, coughing, but it can give me a headache, and I can feel the scent linger in my mouth, it's weird.

At times I do get lots of chest pressure, especially towards the upper stomach, lower chest area, and basically pain. It feels like mild burning.

Now that's not to say that I feel great otherwise. I feel like I'm never at 100%, but it plummets even lower when I'm exposed to irritatants/triggers.

i've also gotten sick alot in the last few years with chest infections.

SO could this just be sore/tired lungs from all they went through, and they're extra sensitive,

or is this a form of asthma?

What does it mean if I get chest pains from smoking weed?

Simply anxiety or panic attack symptoms can be brought on by a reaction/allergy to common properties making up the marijuana plant that many other plants contain as well. Cannabis though, has and extra 50 or 60 other’s that are exclusive to just the Marijuana plant and those are its psychoactive properties that make you high. Many think that because it is organic and becoming legal in many places, that it must be harmless. This is not the case.Contrary to the “Marijuana never hurt anyone” speech touted by users everywhere holding a big bag of M&M’s grinning ear to ear with glassy eyes, many have taken unplanned rides to the hospital reporting exactly the symptoms you’ve asked.Almost every drug has a medicinal use and some of course, have a recreational use. However, Mother Nature made everyone different. Some people are allergic to chocolate and have horrible experiences when consumed, while others feel great pleasure and aren’t harmed at all in when doing the same.Marijuana is no exception. Just because it’s “fresh” or “organic” or “unprocessed,” that does not mean it’s all ok. That pain is there to tell you something. Even if the uncomfortable sensation you experience is not physically harmful to you today, it is a warning sign to understand that something is amiss and you should - at the very least, become aware of what that is.

What is the reason for applying perfume on the wrist and the back of the neck?

When I was in my initial training days in IT industry , my bizz skill faculty told me about "Pulse Points".Pulse points are the points on body from which the heat from the body evolves. This is due to fact that the pulse is being close to skin at such points .Your neck and wrist are one of the "Pulse points" . These points help your skin retain the fragnance . So when we spray perfume there , the pulse points heats up and makes perfume last longer. Thus your skin retains the sweet smell in that area.

Is it normal for a sunburn to smell like this?

I'm sunburnt on my arms, face, and chest area. I noticed something smellt funny, and bent my neck down and I'm pretty sure it's the sunburn. (my chest and neck got it the worst).

I noticed it earlier, and took a shower to wash the aloe vera and peely skin off. Still peely and hurts, even with lotion it smells.

It's almost like... nasty asparagus pee-sweat mixture. It's like the smell of a sweaty child. Not like how we smell when we sweat... but when an overweight 8 year old boy comes up to you and you can tell they haven't bathed in awhile...

I know I explained it oddly, but is it supposed to smell? My arms seem just fine, and I'm pretty sure my face is too (I don't exactly know how I'm supposed to smell my face...).

I really don't want to smell all nasty at school tomorrow. I'm afraid perfume will sting, not even gonna try it though. TY in advance.
