Ticklish Feeling At My Neck

Why are people so ticklish on the back of their neck?

Why are people so ticklish on the back of their neck?I don’t know. Most people I know are ticklish on their ribs and the bottoms of their feet. I’m like my dad, I’m not ticklish anywhere. That seems to be uncommon. Here’s what Wikipedia has to say about it. Tickling - Wikipedia. If, as they imply, most people are ticklish where they are most vulnerable, that would explain the back of the neck and ribs, but not the bottoms of the feet. A more scholarly article that explores what is going on in the brain by functional MRI during tickling is hereExploration of the Neural Correlates of Ticklish Laughter by Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging | Cerebral Cortex | Oxford Academic. . Have fun!

Whenever a dog licks me, I have this ticklish feeling in my feet. Why?

That happens to me too. It has to do with nerves. I'm very ticklish and I only get that tingling when my dog licks a ticklish part of me, such as my neck or behind my ear. You might just be ticklish in more places. But in the end, it all has to do with the brain controlling your nerves. But yeah, it is a weid feeling.

Electric/Ticklish feeling in head, down neck, anxiety?

Hello I m 15 and I have bad anxiety. When I get anxiety I get dizzy which causes more anxiety but I had a weird new sensation at the back of my head down my neck to the back. It was like a electric/ticklish feeling and the only time it really feels good is when I bend/stretch my neck down but it comes right back. Also at some points it makes me want to throw up, is this anxiety and can you explain it?

-No saying go to doctors please

Tickling feeling on my neck during haircut?

Whenever I get a haircut and my barber uses the electric razor to shave the hair, I get a tickling feeling on my hip and on the back of my neck. And once the barber puts the tip of the razor on my neck, I jerk and it is annoying. Does anyone know the cause of this and how I can stop it?

Am I really THAT ticklish!?

I've previously submitted a tickle question similar to the one I'm about to ask, but a little different.

My older sister & sometimes my dad have a tendency to try to tickle me whenever they feel in a mischievous mood, my mum too, actually (when we don't all hate each other, that is, LOL!).

A few evenings ago, my sister & I were sitting at my PC as I was helping her to download some songs for her gym class. She was hyper-active and really happy that day. She was also acting quite mischievous and every single time I began to feel nervous about her tickling me, I began to feel as though I was ACTUALLY being tickled even though she didn't lay one finger on me! I was worried about her going for my sides & it was my sides that felt like they were ACTUALLY being tickled!

What's wrong with me? How can I feel like I'm ACTUALLY being tickled without even being touched? It just doesn't make any sense. Is there something wrong with my body or am I just extremely ticklish?

Boyfriend likes to kiss my neck but I'm ticklish?

My boyfriend likes to kiss and suck on my neck when we're making out and I enjoy it, but often it tickles and I end up giggling and killing the mood. How do I stop it from being so ticklish?

Why do I feel a tickle at my upper back on the left side?

Does anyone else have an unbearably TICKLISH neck!?

I have a fear of my neck being touched...well, perhaps fear is too strong a word. You see, my neck is EXTREMELY ticklish & is one of my most unbearably ticklish spots ever. I have great difficulty in sharing hugs & kisses with my friends & family because I'm terrified of anyone or anything going anywhere near my neck. It tickles so much! Just the feeling of someone's breath on my neck tickles me to death, LOL! All I have to do is just imagine someone about to grab or breathe on my neck & I can actually FEEL my neck being tickled before it's even been physically-touched. My parents target my neck a lot when in an embrace (they even tickle my sides) & my little cousin & best friend tickle-torture me a lot & one of their favourite places is the neck. They tease me about it because I have a few polo-neck tops to keep my neck covered & occasionally, I wear a shawl around my neck (not often though).
Does anyone think I'm crazy for fearing my neck being touched. It tickles A LOT!!!
