I know people like ShizueBluePower and Pheonixxv are popular on DeviantART. But I've always wonderd how to get so popular. There are many ways to get more recognition on Deviantart.Submit art to groups. You’re bound to get a bigger audience because those who’ve joined that group are people who are a fan of that subject, and will therefore want to see your artwork which is related to that subject.Give llamas. I didn’t know this until a bit later, but when you give llamas to people, it’s kind of custom to give it back. In order to do this, they will visit your profile to return a llama to you, and when they do, they will be able to see your page and art and follow you if they like it.Favourite people’s artwork. When you favourite people’s artwork, a lot of them will come to your profile to thank you. When they do, they are likely to favourite some of your artwork as well if they like it or even follow you if they want to see more from you.Comment on people’s artwork. Do this as much as you can. How to get more watchers on deviantart?
One of friends gave me good advice on joining groups, watch more people and don't be too picky about favoriting art which is good advice which are good tips but you're advice? What I've noticed on deviantart is that the pictures that get the most comments/views/favorites is fan art which kinda annoys me even though I'm new to the website.
Should i quit deviantart...?
Definitely not! The only way we can get better at something is if we begin in the first place. Don't look at your art as something that isn't worth it, or looks really bad. Think of it as a learning experience. Look at what you don't like about it, and strive to make it better. See what you can do to improve it. For example: Does a leg here or a body part there look too large or small? Is this one here or there in the right place? Is this torso too long? Life is all about change and getting better at stuff. We have to give ourselves a chance if we're ever going to leave that gate. The only time you should ever compare your art with someone else's, is if you're trying to learn from theirs. Just remember a lot of people of Devinatart have been drawing or painting probably for a lot longer than you've actually drawn yourself. If you dislike what you draw, try and change it up a bit. Try and look into drawing realism. There are plenty of sites around the internet that can help with that. Maybe you can get someone to help constructively critique your work and have them help you get better, to a degree that you're happy with.
