Tired No Energy Sad All The Time

How can I get more energy, tired all the time!!!?

Believe it or not, another thing that you can do(if you are not doing this already) is work-out on a regular basis! Working out gives you a surge of energy that lasts the rest of the day! Also, a good diet is key! I've had the same problem about feeling tired all the time, and it was suggested to me to eat smaller meals through-out the day and eat them more frequently(5-6 times a day)...it really helps the blood sugar levels stay normal!

I feel sad and tired all the time?

Yes this sounds like clinical depression - check the link below and read under "Signs and Symptoms." You should see an MD first to check to see if it's anything physical and get his/her opinion. You can get a referral to a therapist and possibly a psychiatrist. Therapy first is probably best before heading for meds. First you need a diagnosis - it may not be serious depression. If it is depression a diagnosis should lead to treatment - therapy, and possibly medications as well. You will also need support from family and friends in addition to the professional help. It may be nothing, it may be serious. Get professional help to determine what, and what to do about it. Good luck.

Sleeping almost all day? tired all the time?

Maybe u have a thyroid condition? doctors fail to diagnose them and only put u on meds when your hormone levels are deadly-low. THS should be less than 2,5. Also you might have wilsons low temperature condition where thyroid levels are normal but you have so much rt3 on your body that it blocks the thyroid hormones to go to cells.

Why am I always sad and tired?

No matter what happens, I'm never happy. I wake up and I feel like I've hardly slept and I just tell myself that once I get through school I can come home and lay in bed for the rest of the day. I never have any energy to do simple things like wash and I don't enjoy anything. I just want to be left alone. Everything irritates me and I'm too tired to speak to my friends half of the time. The most hours I'll sleep in a night is probably 7, and the least is 3 or 4 because I find it hard to sleep. I don't know why I feel so sad because my home life is fine and I have ok grades and I have 2 good friends. But yet I always feel lonely and isolated and down. It's like nothing good ever happens to me and I feel like I never sleep. I only go out if it's a school day because on weekends I usually don't even have enough energy to get out of bed and go out. and because of this I eat so much but I'm too exhausted to exercise so I'm putting on weight all the time. I've tried eating healthy but I can't because tasty food makes me feel better. My mum doesn't take me seriously so what can I do to feel normal without having to tell her anything? I've felt like this for a while now, I was thinking maybe my low low self confidence links to it but that doesn't explain why I'm tired.

Why doni feel sad when tired?

Fatigue and depression often occur together.

Fatigue is often due to an unhealthy lifestyle.

Fatigue often triggers off further problems such as headaches, migraines, dizziness, lightheadedness, shakiness and nausea.

To combat fatigue the energy vitamin B12 can help or a vitamin B complex. Coenzyme Q10 can also help to boost your energy level and the super food Spirulina is another good energy booster.

Nuts can give you lasting energy.

One of the most common fatigue causes is anxiety which is a state of fear of real or imagined danger, which is manifested as increased heart rate, trembling, panic, weakness, extreme fatigue and stomach or intestinal discomfort.

Besides anxiety there are many other common fatigue causes such as insufficient sleep, too much sleep, under eating, thyroid problems, iron anemia, mononucleosis, CFS, glandular fever, side effects from medication, dehydration, overexertion, hypoglycemia, diabetes and an unhealthy diet.

Why are people with depression so tired all the time?

First of all, depression causes disturbances in sleeping.
Then the stressy emotions and sadness usually tires the body as well, as stress makes your body system go onto alert mode, your brain works much faster putting all your system in alert (most common in anxiety disorders).
Your emotions are running, your body is reacting and following them. As simple as: body - mind -> they are connected and work together.

Plus, when you're happy, your brain produces some chemicals (serotonin) that makes you feel good, energized (exercise helps producing more serotonin, so that's why the more exercise you do, the more "lighter" and energetic you will feel).

When you become sad, anxious and stressed for a long period of time, your brain starts producing less serotonin, and making a bigger effort to do normal tasks.

Edit: For the answer above, Alprazolam (aka Xanax) does not cure depression (in fact, depressing feelings it's a side effect from that medication).
Alprazolam is a tranquilizer.

Why do I feel so tired, numb, and depressed all the time?

Don’t you really mean “…so tired, numb, and SAD? And is it all the time, or just when you sit and stew in your negativity? This is your problem, alone, and it is up to you to fix it. You may be exaggerating, now, but you will get to the condition you complain of, if you don’t get started. There is a simple fix that usually works. Our health and survival, over millions of years, have depended on our muscles, and the evolutionary, most ancient, part of our brain, at the top of our spinal cord, gets signals from our muscles. “It controls the body's vital functions such as heart rate, breathing, body temperature and balance. Our reptilian brain includes the main structures found in a reptile's brain: the brainstem and the cerebellum. The reptilian brain is reliable but tends to be somewhat rigid and compulsive.”Control is by way of hormones, for the most part. Stewing in your sadness will eventually lead to a stressed condition, and that reptile brain senses stress as danger, and sends cortisol and fight or flight hormones to help you escape the danger. Unless you move your muscles, it senses that you’re not escaping, and sends another cascade of hormones. You feel this in your breathing, your heartbeat, your skin, and it is confusing and scary. You may feel is as making you “depressed”. Unless you move, it gets worse, and you will find you can’t cope with everyday tasks and people. Mistakes, confusion, and fear = disability (Depression).Though it may sound too simple, it works. If you get up, when you feel it stressing you, and move, esp. those large lower body muscles. Walk, climb stairs, do isometric exercises, and that should stop the emotions and stress. By exercising your muscles, all of them, all those symptoms will disappear and you will feel good, all the time. The reptile brain that tries to protect us will sense the muscles doing their job, and will be satisfied; might even send you a few treats in the form of hormones that make you feel happy.
