Tomorrow Big Day Dancing

How to get rid of nerves!? peforming a dance solo tomorrow!?

i know how u feel, though im not a dancer, but i play basketball for my school and everytime im playing a match in front of an audience, i use to be extremely nervous and not performing my best. heres how i overcomed it..

1) ask urself this, do u really want this medal??? if yes, u should be 100%focused, do not get nervous that easily..it's a "make or break it" chance, so u gotta make it and not break it..think of it this way:" if i get nervous and underperform, people are gonna think im lousy and suck, i do not want ppl to think this way about me, so im gonna shine, being nervous gets me no where, being in control of my nerves and doing a good job gets me somewhere good".

2) before ur performance, here's what u can do( just a suggestion) u can practice some real simple dance moves in front of a mirror, alone or with a good friend. I'm sure u would be able to do them well, this would give you a bit of confidence before the actual performance, which would help u alot..i used to do something like this before a big game..i would shoot some real real easy hoops..and everytime i score, i would say to myself "yea! i'm real good" and my confidence would increase..

3) go out and have fun!!! if u really like dancing, just enjoy what u do best and wht u love doing..when i realised that basketball wasn't just all bout showing off my skills in front of an audience and just having fun. my game elevated..u should try the same..tell urself u got it under control, u're gonna own the show and most importantly, ur gonna have fun...the applause u get after that would be amazing and u would feel so so good!!!

do not forget to have a good night's sleep before the day of the performance..go for it!!! i have faith that u can do well
all the best!!

Should I ask he out tomorrow onthe last day of school?

Everyone on yahoo keeps saying that she likes me. But idk if I should ask her out tomorrow on the last day of school. The other weekend I went to a party and was dancing and stuff having a good time. Then the girl I like calls me over and we dance together. Everyone at the party was grinding in a big line (probably 20 kids in the line.) so instead of joining the line or just dancing we formed our own group of me, her and two other people. We grinded for a while XD until a d**k friend of mine pushed me out of the way and like danced with her until she realized he was there and left :(. I have recently noticed that she calls me over and talks to me more in class. I chat with her on facebook a bit too :). Today I played volley ball with her and she would look over at me every few seconds. And she said I was her best friend and introduced me to everyone playing volley ball with us. That was weird because I already knew everyone who was playing, and we both know I am clearly not her best friend. When I signed her yearbook she immediately read what I said and it looked like she was expecting something. But that might have been my imagination. Also she is crazy hot and is popular. I don't want to make a fool of myself because if she says no it will spread through the school like a wildfire.

Is it correct to say "I hope you having a good day"?

When we are talking or chatting with someone we need that we should take care of the other person and these are the lines we can use to make him/her happy and it looks like we care for them , firstly the above sentence is wrong “I hope you having a good day” because in this sentence we think that the other is having a good day , but to make it more special because the person is talking to you ( you are the most amazing , most awesome person in the world , so if he/she is talking to you he/she must be happy talking with you ) you need to make them happy not you are thinking to make them happy , so the ANSWER IS - “I HOPE YOU MUST HAVING A GOOD DAY”

What do you do on a bad turning day?

If you have a bad turning day then just take it how it comes! Dance everything else and when it comes to pirouettes and other turns just try your best and thats the best you can do.

Tomorrow is a new day and another chance to dance and hopefully tomorrow will be a better turning day. Don't let one bad day hold you back ;). Like I said, just keep on dancing and don't let the turns bug you, I'm sure you'll be back to your normal turning self soon!

What should a dancer eat before a show?

The night before the show I always eat: A balanced dinner with plenty of protein (usually chicken) and vegetables. No sugars or carbohydrates.
The day of the performance I eat:
Breakfast: Some oatmeal or cereal with a lot of fiber in it and a hard boiled egg. Avoid eating too heavy meals on the day of a show as this can make you feel bloated, but you need energy for your performance.
10:00 snack: Its important to feed your body every few hours through out the day so that it will store up energy for tonight. Eat an apple and some peanut butter around 10:00 A.M.
Lunch: Sandwich made with lean sandwich meat like turkey. Have it open face and put on extra meat. Also another serving of fruit and vegetables, such as carrot sticks.
4:00 p.m. snack: Have another fruit or vegetable snack, like celery with peanut butter.
Dinner: Have plenty of lean protein, and a small amount of complex carbohydrates.
During the performance: Right before the performance eat an orange or apple to give you some energy. Keep a small snack such as peanut butter crackers backstage to eat at intermission to keep your energy levels up.

Father of the bride dead- mother/ son dance for groom?

My dad just died in may (the father of the bride) and I am getting married in three weeks. Its really hard for me i still cry myself to sleep a couple times a week. My groom never even thought about a mother/son dance but now his mom is asking if there will be one and if so what song etc. I dont want to take something away from my future husband but i think i might fall apart if they have a formal, announced mother/son dance. Is it reasonable for me to ask them to just dance together for a song when we get there and not make it announced or a a big deal?

What are some good songs for a kids dance camp?

Tomorrow we start our two week long dance camp, and I'm looking for some good family friendly songs that the kids might like. The kids are grouped by age, which range everywhere from 5-14. We tend to do just silly fun things since most of our kids aren't serious dancers. For example, we always use something by the chipmunks for the youngest class. We're thinking of things like Spongebob Squarepants Best Day Ever, or Vogue, or equally fun things.

Any ideas welcome!
