Difference between hydrocodone 5/500 and 10-325mg endocet?
They have the same ingredients, hydrocodone (the narcotic) and acetaminophen (the ingredient in Tylenol). However, they are different strengths. Hydrocodone (5/500) is 5 mg of hydrocodone and 500 mg of acetaminophen, and is sometimes sold under the brand name Vicodin. 10/325 Endocet is 10 mg of hydrocodone (twice as much as the other) and 325 mg of acetaminophen. Basically the Endocet would be like taking two Vicodin, except the acetaminophen is less in the Endocet. Breaking an endocet in half is basically the same as taking one Vicodin (hydrocodone 5/500), or two of the 5/500 tablets would equal one of the Endocets. You should never take more than 1 gram (1,000 mg) of acetaminophen at one time (two extra-strength Tylenol, and not more than three of these doses a day, at least four hours apart (six 500 mg tablets total per day.)
Will endocet make you high?
You will feel it, but with no tolerance to opiate painkillers it will feel like you are being wrapped in a big warm hug. It "shouldn't" make you feel too tired or out of it. But you will build up a tolerance pretty quick. Just a note, I know more then I should about opiate painkillers because when I was in my early 20's I ended up hooked on them after a car accident and spent 2 years of my life in hell getting off them. It's EASY to fall into the trap with the things. Unless you really need them, I'd suggest trying to make do with Tylenol or something non narcotic.
Endocet (subst. for Perocet) vs Advil?
Ok, here's the situation... I broke my leg last Sunday, about 6 days ago, had surgery on it, they put in a Titanium 'rod' and screwed the 2 broken pieces back together, I have 3 fractured vertebrates in my back, and I was on Morphene (spelling?) until Tuesday morning. They switched me to Percocet after that, usually taking 2 tablets every 4 hours for the pain. It's Saturday now, they released me Wednesday afternoon, gave me a prescription for something 'like' Percocet, and told me to take that according to the pain. I've USUALLY been taking only 1 every 4 hours, sometimes taking 1 more before the 4 hrs is up to help with the pain (for the leg, mostly) and I'm trying to decide whether to try and switch off of the stuff and go to 2-3 Advils instead, taking that according to the 'hourly rate' on the Advil bottle. Reason being, the Percocet 'look-alike' is probably somewhat hard on the stomach, and (I think) makes me light-headed when I get up, sometimes dizzy, and sometimes short of breath. I think some of that may be due to the pills that I'm currently on. As an f.y.i.: I'm not on any other med's or drugs, and I don't smoke. I figured there'd be other people out there that know more about doing the 'switch' than me... Any ideas? What do you guys think? I'm sorry it's just a big block of text :P Oh, and sometimes I do take 2 pills at the 4hr mark for the pain. Sometimes it's worse than other times. Thanx!
Can you get high on Endocet?
Yes. Endocet is a compound consisting of oxycodone, a powerful narcotic pain reliever, and acetaminophen, an over the counter NSAID. To get high, though, you would probably have to abuse the drug (take more than recommended), as the combination drugs with oxycodone usually have a relatively low dose of oxycodone in them (the drug that causes you to get "high"). This is dangerous because Tylenol is horrible for the liver at higher doses. Plus, oxycodone is very dangerous as well. I am only telling you this because I have overdosed countless times on oxycodone, almost died before, and it is possibly the worst, most pathetic feeling you could imagine. The other problem is the fact that oxycodone is extremely addictive. I am a former addict of oxycodone, and it only took me about 1.5-2 weeks of moderate use to become addicted. It works extremely fast, and trust me when I tell you this, you have no idea you are addicted until after the fact. The thing is, it feels really good so you keep doing it, and when you keep doing it you have no worries, you loose track of how long you have been taking it. Everyone has the mentality that they won't allow themselves to become addicted, like they are somehow different than the millions of other people who have become dependent on it. Yeah, well I had the same thought, yet I ended up spending years getting of of it. THERE IS NO WAY TO KEEO FROM GETTING ADDICTED. it is different for everybody. I even wrote down how often I did it when I first started, took a detailed record, all in the foolproof plan to avoid getting addicted, but that was pointless, because I did. If you do it, you'll want to continue, and if you do you WILL become dependent. Period. And trust me, it will turn your life upside down and screw everything up. Then you'll spend the rest of your life trying to fix one mistake, possibly never getting off of it, since only about 20% of people do get clean.
Will it hurt to take two percocet 5/325?
well you should always check with your Dr. but I dint think so. the 325 is the amt of Tylenol in the pill, it has 325 mg of Tylenol so two would be 650 and the over the counter Tylenol comes in 500 mg and most people take two so that would be 100 mg. The 5 means there are 5 mg of codeine in the pill so taking two tablets would mean you are taking 10 mg of codeine. My dentist has prescribed for me a combo of 10/325 for one pill and I was able to take two of these when I had a tooth pulled. So I think you will be fine, just don't make a habit of always taking two. Start by taking one and if after 90 minutes it has not helped take another. Just remember to not take more than two in a four hour period. Hope you fell better soon.
What happens if u take 4 birth control pills at once???!!!!!! URGENT ATTENTION!!!!!!?
You will be fine. You can't really "overdose" from taking four birth control pills. Pills these days have such a low hormone content that it's not that big of a deal. In the future, I definitely would not recommend doing this though. There are specific directions as to what you are supposed to do if you miss pills. If you miss 3+ you are supposed to start over and use a back up method for protection for 10 days.
