Back in my youth, I loved “Principal’s Office” by Young MC, his 1989/1990 hit single. It describes the day of a mischievous, i.e. totally normal schoolboy in his late teens with:no profanity — nobody ever curses, the most aggressive line is a nurse saying “Whaddaya know?”no sex — the narrator is yet at base zero, i.e. the “passing notes” stage of the potential relationshipno drugs — the dealin’ in the line “give me a week, me and the girl will be dealin’” is about what he hopes will come from the love letterno violence — a tooth gets cracked, but that's the result of Thursday’s lunch, with the apple sauce being the prime suspect

2 words “Mobb Deep”! I was 14 when I bought my first Hip-Hop/Rap album and it was none other than the classic “The Infamous” by Mobb Deep! The song in particular that made me a fan and purchase their first of many classics was a song called “Shook Ones Pt.II”. The first verse kicks off like this “I got you stuck off the realness, we be the infamous you’ve heard of us…official Queensbridge murders, the mobb comes equipped for warfare beware of my crime family who got ‘nough shots to hold for all ya’ll who wanna profile and pose…rock you in yo face stab ya brain with ya nose bone” at the point my late Father who saw me typing up the lyrics like I just did immediately stopped me and had me delete the rhymes as he told me that was the most demonic and evil thing he read and that he didn’t want me taking in that garbage…needless to say I’ve had a thing for dark-tuned raps and since then haven’t listened to too much Mobb Deep because they can definitely put you in that zone if you know what I mean…honorable meniton 50 cent as you stated…check out his joints “I’ll whip ya head boy” “Still Kill” and “heat”Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Pt.2 with lyrics50 Cent - HeatKavin The 1Click “Home” to check my music website Home
