Android touch screen not working? Could this be the problem?

I have an android optimus slider, and I've had it since Christmas.
It's been working fine with no problems until this morning. When I woke up and went to unlock it, the screen was jumpy and unresponsive. After a good five minutes I finally got it unlocked, and now it's just acting crazy. The screen is jumpy, it selects random things, it's just a mess.

The only thing I could think of is that I accidentally brought home my friends windows phone charger and I've used it for two nights now. Could this be why?
I've whiped off my screen, and left the battery out for a few hours.

If the charger was the problem, how could I fix it? Just let it run down and then charge it again with the right charger? Any suggestions on what this could be? Thanks.

If my phone's touch screen is not working as well as it used to, can I get it replaced or should I just get a new phone?

In short, the older the phone the more expensive it can be sourcing new authentic parts. If it’s a massively popular model (say Samsung Galaxy S range) then there may be after-market parts available that claim to be fully compatible.Second hand parts are also an option, if you can source them, but here you have more worries about the quality. If you replace your 3 year old screen with my 2 year old one, will it still be working well in 3 months? After that is the actual replacing of the screen. I wouldn’t even try it personally, so I’d have to go to one of those repair places and see if they will do it for me. No idea if they’d want to source their own parts or if they’d be happy to use ones you supply. Either way, more cost.It might be that you can replace it at good cost, significantly cheaper than a new phone but if the phone is getting on it could be that soon the next thing will start failing. Has always been the battery for me.My gut feeling is, if the repair is less than half what a new phone will cost then think hard and decide if you think it’ll give you enough extra life to be worth it.

Coby Kyros Android Tablet- touch screen stopped working?

what do i do? it fell from about a foot off the bed. i checked it and it was working fine. a few minutes later the touch screen stopped working. only the bottom works somewhat. I just got it from my brother for Christmas and he's going to kill me if he finds out. Does anyone know a solution? i reset it a few times and turned it off, but it still doesn't work. Please Answer right away!!!!

Is there any solution for a smartphone's touch screen not working properly when connected to a computer by USB?

Make sure you are using the official charger for your phone model. Also I have seen where the proper USB cable makes all difference. Some USB cables for Micro USB androids, are not data cables but only charging cables for other devices.Use an approved and made for US model one if you want to avoid issues, or burning out your phone. Such as this micro USB one.As some mentioned Grounding may not be working, but if your plugging into a laptop (especially on battery) and the issue persists, it is not a ground issue, because its on DC power.More answers will be forthcoming Tech News | TECHSURGE.IO TECH surge news info blog technology cpu comptuer gaming reviewsThank you
