Training Progress Has Stopped

Army-Heat Cat 5. Does anyone really stop training?

In my unit on Fort Hood, Texas we never really stopped training. We limited the amount of time you were training to make sure everone stays hydrated. Camelbacks were mandatory or 2 canteens. We also had medics with us in the field keeping an eye on weather instruments and keeping an eye on soldiers . As for the motorpool it was pretty much the same thing. I know on Ft. Hood, heat related injuries are taken very seriously and staying hydrated and cool is taken very seriously by the higher ups.

At what she should i stop wearing training bras?

Well, it depends on your size, if you (this will sound weird) can put your hands starting from the palm where your boob starts, and your fingers touch, you CAN still use training bra but tell your mom that you would prefer cupped ones, like there is a girl in my gym class who always wheres a training bra.
but if your fingers aren't anywhere close to touching than you NEED a cupped bra.

Measuring:
go into your local pink, or Victoria's secret or Lasenza and asked to get measured, it free and quick, but if you don't think you can afford a bra from there, go to walmart and tray every single width (32-40 or what ever you are) and try them on in the fitting room

hope this helped

How do I make my dog stop humping my puppy?

First you need to get her spayed as soon as possible. There are some vets that will spay at 3 months old and younger. I also agree to try the spray bottle. If regular water doesn't work, try adding vinegar to the water. Most dogs hate the smell of vinegar and it won't hurt him in anyway, even if you get it in his eye by accident. One of my males try to hump my oldest male all the time. He would just lick the water when I sprayed him but when I added vinegar and he tasted that, he stopped immediately at whatever he was doing. They spray bottle works great for mine. All I have to do now is say BOTTLE and they all retreat.

Additional: Yes it is most likely a dominance issue. But it can also become sort of an obbession. I have one that used to be obbessed with humping my oldest dog. Using the bottle on him has stopped him. Now it is only an occasional thing.

Is it better that I stop all drinking of alcohol while training for judo? Is alcohol bad for martial arts training?

Generally, alcohol makes you lethargic and will interrupt the quality of your performance temporarily. I always found it takes a couple of days of training after to get back to normal. It’s always better to not drink, but evaluate it based on your goals and your time frame. Infrequent alcohol use is pretty irrelevant to the average person who is only training martial arts for their personal benefit. If you’re training for competitions, then the less often you drink the better, but the world isn’t going to end if you were to go out and have a few drinks like once every two weeks or so during your normal training regimen. The important factors of training and alcohol have to do with consistency. If you’re drinking on a regular basis, it’s going to affect your progress. If your goal is to be the best out there, cut the alcohol and focus on more training.

I am 52 and I started training Capoeira a few years ago. I get a little better each year, but not much. Should I keep going?

It totally depends on why you are doing Capoeira in the first place. Capoeira came into my life at 17 and now at 35 I am still as much of a beginner as I was then, I'd like to think even more so. Back then I though Capoeira was the sum of it's component parts, but in true gestalt form now I know it is not just the moves, or this song, or that song, not even just dominating the rhythms of each instrument in the bateria would count to me as an element that added up could sum it up. Capoeira is a deep cultural expression and as such it can be, if you choose, like an ocean that reveals with each new discovery the magnitude of one's ignorance to it's vastness. In the 18 years of studying, learning, practicing, training, and playing Capoeira I've come across unfriggin' believable capoeiristas that still constantly expressed they did not know all of Capoeira. They got it. As any true expression it can be neverending if you are in it for the growth that it can foster within. My first Mestre (Mestre Rony, Capoeira Volta Ao Mundo) gave me advice I still live by today. "NEVER STOP PLAYING CAPOEIRA, I don't care who you have to play with to make that happen, which 'style', group, whatever, JUST NEVER STOP"  I must say this has been the best advice any mestre has ever given me and why I will always give props to him for that message. As life changes so does my game and my knowledge, sometimes I'll go months without being able to take a class or even go to a roda, but everyday from the moment I wake up to the moment I go back to Morpheus' labyrinth, every second of my day IS CAPOEIRA. A song, a movement, an approach to something, the way I walk up to a counter to get some hipster coffee in Brooklyn, there is ALWAYS something new to learn and apply. The mind of the beginner is full of questions, keep that spirit alive and well.Axé!

Soldier in basic training isn't writing home?

I have asked this question and have gotten several different answers. I know that the soldiers get time to write home even if it is five minutes to pen a quick sentence or two on a postcard. Why do you think my husband in basic training isn't writing home? Does he not even have time to send a postcard? I don't believe it. I have been married to my husband for almost six years and we have five children. I am getting very depressed not hearing from him. He has now been gone almost four weeks. Do you have any advice for me? Is there anyone out there who has also not received a letter while the soldier is at basic training? What did the soldier give as the reason for not writing?

For anyone who has struggled with potty-training...what finally got you over the hump?

Our 3rd son is almost 4 years old, and he just DOES NOT GET IT!!! We've tried everything we can think of. He at least will randomly go to the bathroom whenever he feels like it...so he knows how to do it. But he could walk around soaking wet, or with poo in his pants, probably all day long if we let him get away with it. He just acts like it doesn't bother him at all. Please help with your ideas...we know other people have struggled just like us...what training technique finally worked for your child?
