Traveling Back And Upper Body Pains That Feel Like Hunger

Why do we feel tired after traveling?

I would add an additional suggestion here as to why we get tired when we travel - our body is continually trying to adjust the changing magnetic field around us. We didn't evolve moving 100s of km/hr and our top speed of walking meant that we never travelled vast distances without our body having time to adjust to the magnetic fields around us.We do have magnetite in our brains. It is was gives us a sense of direction. So our body is receptive of and maybe a transmitter of an electromagnetic field.I also suggest there is a build up positive ions in our body that leaves us fatigued. We travel in cars that are insulated from the ground by rubber tires and we fly in air planes that are not even touch the earth and the process of exchanging ions with the earth doesn't happen. There is now a growing body of evidence to support the concept of earthing and its benefits on our body. See this research http://www.earthinginstitute.net/?page_id=131Anecdotally, since I have started travelling with a grounding mat and spend time at my destination earthing, I have found that I recover much faster and have minimal jet lag.

Weird feeling and sound in the back of my neck when hungry...?

I too have been getting the same weird - rushing water/rain stick/crackling/ noise and feeling in the back of my neck. I just this morning noticed that it usually happens in the morning time when I am hungry. Like you said it doesnt hurt it just feels weird and annoys me. I have also noticed that I get a little bit of an uneasy feeling in my stomache as well when this happens. Not quite a wave of nausea but, more an uneasyness that makes me feel a little sick to my stomach. As the noise fades so does the feeling. I used to get it every so often but, now I notice it most mornings at work. This morning it was the worst it has ever been it lasted for almost a minute reocurring several times before finaly subsiding. This time it realy made me sick to my stomache.

I have noticed that many people suffer from this and as you said no-one knows what it is!! Strange for all of us to feel this and it not be explained. Im hoping to find out what this is to ease my mind!!!

I also wanted to point something out that may or may not be directly related... a couple of years ago soda started tasting like metal to me...Coke and pepsi in particular...i can still drink Dr. Pepper.

Also, I have had horrible pressure and pain in my head at times from laughing too hard, getting up quickly or overexurtion. its not all the time but, it does happen. Not sure if either are related.

Ill keep on the lookout as well and update back if I find anything. So far this is all I have found of intetest.

***Im not sure if this has anything to do with it.....but, I am really digging and keep finding information that leads me back to this condition called Chiari Malformation...Its a malformation in the brain which causes rushes of spinal fluid at the base of the neck and can be associated with severe pressure headaches and nausea. Its worth it to check it out!!*****

Can gas get trapped in other parts of the body and cause pain?

Gas in the digestive tract can cause discomfort or pain, but it usually passes (one way or the other) pretty quickly (due to peristalsis). Such sensation, discomfort, or pain is common and usually familiar.

Mostly, gas does not get trapped in other parts of the body.

If you eat a high-fat meal, you may get referred pain in the upper back because of stress on your gall bladder (which is called upon to produce the fat-digesting enzymes). This can also occur with a normal meal if you're having trouble digesting fat for some reason.

Upper Abdominal Pain?

Im having some "rolling" pain in my upper abdomen. It started yesterday and it wasn't quite as painful as it is now, it felt more as though I was going to be sick. yesterday I drank some pepto went to class and seemed fine. It slowly came back yesterday but it felt more like hunger so I ate something and drank quite a few liquids (no alcohol) and it came back rolling pain under the bottom of my ribs. To me it doesn't feel like the acid reflux I have had in the past for years (stress related acid reflux) , it feels more like pain/sick and if I do burp it feels like bile gas or something is coming up. Though when i sit up it does lessen the pain to the point of just feeling sick. I'm worried because I'm 21 and my mom had to have her gallbladder taken out a few years ago, and i know that gallstones and gallbladder problems are common with Native Americans though I don't know the exact symptoms. Any help would be greatly appreciated I'm pretty worried and would like to get some sleep seeing as it woke me up.

Does ibuprophen( advil) help hunger pain?

Hunger pains is your body digesting it's own stomach.

why not just break down and have something to eat.

Don't go nuts, I know your dieting, but I can give you good advice where the pain goes away, and you won't gain an ounce.

keep nibbling on salted soda crackers, sip water.

that's it! it's that easy. Maybe you should find a different way to maintain your weight, but still eat healthy. starving yourself isn't a good thing.

Good luck. :)

Why is my stomach growling but I'm not hungry?

Mine does the same thing, I believe it is because of what you eat. I have grown accustomed to it over the years but when I want it to not be present (dates, sleeping with people, somewhere quiet) then I eat olives, I have found that they do wonders for settling of the stomach.I believe it is related to gas inside your body, another hint is to not hold in passing gas (farts, burping) that has helped me and I hope these help you.

Does anyone get back pain when they get really hungry?

You are just getting hunger Pains.
You need to eat, so your body wont give you any hunger pains.
If it freaks you out, try eating something small like rice krispies, and then again you could be having a panic attack because of this.
You need to eat on a regular basis. Dont think that your body can wait, because it maybe isnt used to that, causing hunger pains.
I suggest you take an advil for the pain, or like i said, eat something small.
