Traveling From Belgium To Denmark

Shengen Visa for Palestinan with Lebanese traveling documents?

You should have stated the country or the countries which you plan to visit and the purpose of your travel. Only 17 of the 25 Schengen countries accept the Lebanese Travel Document as a valid document to which a Schengen visa may be affixed, provided the right of return to Lebanon is endorsed on the travel document. Those countries are Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. The visa application for Travel Document holders can take up to 4 weeks.
Estonia, Germany, Portugal, and Slovenia do not recognize the Lebanese Travel Document. Should you plan to get the visa from the German Embassy in Beirut since Germany will either be your main destination or the country of initial entry to the Schengen zone an additional administrative process would be required. Since a visa cannot be affixed to the Travel Document the Embassy must apply to the German Federal Ministry of Interior for an exception from the passport requirement and for an authorization to issue a visa on a separate sheet of paper. This requires a further application form to be filled and a second set of photocopies of supporting documents to be provided. You also need to show your Ration Card and your ID card and provide a photocopy if it. The application involves an additional admin fee of €20 and €10 for the issue of a paper visa to be paid in Lebanese Pounds based on the current Consular exchange rate. The total processing time for this procedure will take between 4 and 8 weeks.

Traveling Europe and Eurail Pass?

A Eurail pass can be used on many trains in Europe. However, it is often cheaper to buy individual tickets and it's just as convenient since you have to make reservations on many fast, international or night trains. I spent 13 years living in Italy and never found a railpass to be worth the money for any trips I took through Europe. I traveled frequently and usually took the trains.

There is a huge amount of information on the Man in Seat 61 website on train travel here: http://www.seat61.com/Railpass-and-Eurai... . This includes much more than there is room for here. It is not always cheaper to use a railpass - it depends on your specific trip. It is almost always cheaper to buy individual tickets here in Italy for example. The site will tell you how to tell whether a railpass is cheaper than individual tickets, which pass is best for your trip (if any), and how to use a railpass if you do get one. You need to know that many high speed trains, international trains and night trains require reservations and an additional payment when you use a railpass. The high speed trains in Italy cost an additional 10 euro when using a pass. Pay particular attention to the sections of the website on common mistakes in various countries (particularly Italy & Spain) and the section on Quotas.

What is the best method of travelling around Europe?

If you can get hold of a car and drive, then this is the best way. You then have flexibility to go to places not normally accessable by public transport. But you will have to be brave, driving in Europe and the different rules of the countries can be daunting. Inter-railing is a simple way to get around and you will be able to get good deals on the ticket. But you will be limited to where you can go, however, if you only want to see the major cities then this is the best option. enjoy.

Among Austria, Poland, Denmark and Czech Republic, which country should be a better tourist spot for a weekend?

Though I haven't travelled these countries, but I had read about them in travel articles in newspapers or internet blog. According to my perspective you should travel Austria. It has skiing resort and secondly it has beautiful capital Vienna. It has a grand palace which was a seat of once powerful Hapsburg dynasty. It has many beautiful boulevards.

Which countries can I travel to on a Schengen Visa?

The Schengen Area is the area comprising 26 European countries that have abolished passport and any other type of border control at their common borders, also referred to as internal borders. It mostly functions as a single country for international travel purposes, with a common visa policy. The Area is named after the Schengen Agreement. Countries in the Schengen Area have eliminated internal border controls with the other Schengen members, and strengthened external border controls with non-Schengen states. The Schengen area encourages the free movement of goods, information, money and people. The 26 European countries are:AustriaBelgiumCzech RepublicDenmarkEstoniaFinlandFranceGermanyGreeceHungaryIcelandItalyLatviaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMaltaNetherlandsNorwayPolandPortugalSlovakiaSloveniaSpainSwedenSwitzerlandTwenty-two of the twenty-eight European Union (EU) member states participate in the Schengen Area. Of the six EU members that do not form part of the Schengen Area, four –Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus and Romania – are legally obliged and wish to join the area, while the other two – Ireland and the United Kingdom – maintain opt-outs. All four European Free Trade Association (EFTA) member states – Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland – have signed the Schengen Agreement, even though they are outside the EU. In addition three European microstates – Monaco, San Marino, and the Vatican – can be considered as de facto within the Schengen Area as they do not have border controls with the Schengen countries that surround them; but they have not officially signed documents that make them part of Schengen. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/S...

Will only speaking English pose a problem when travelling to Belgium?

Depends what you are going to do. Get through immigration, check in at a hotel, visit the Grand’Place and the Atomium, no problem. Get served in Brussels bars and restaurants, not a problem. Get a job in a branch of an British or American company, probably not a problem in the short term at least, assuming HR do a bunch of handholding around various administrative formalities like signing up with a health insurance scheme. Rent an apartment, might cost you a bit more one way or another, especially when it comes to arguing about the état des lieux when you leave. Do a weekly shop at Carrefour, no worries. Persuade a traffic cop not to give you a ticket, fairly big problem. Get a vegetarian meal in a brasserie in a small town in the Ardennes, tricky. Chat with other spectators at a cyclocross race in Flanders, probably not happening.Basically, much like everywhere, language will put few obstacles in your way when it comes to spending money, but more when it comes to other stuff.

Added: The thumb down is fully justified since I have missed to provide the source for my statement.

It is based on the European Agreement on the Abolition of Visas for Refugees.

List of countries that have signed and ratified the agreement and have set it into force
http://conventions.coe.int/Treaty/Commun... ..
You will see that not all Schengen countries have signed it; to those you can't travel without visa.

Poland, although having signed the agreement does not accept U.K. travel documents based on reciprocity.

I hope this will clerify!

@ Arlene: sorry and with all respect, the source you are stating does not provide any back-up of your statements! I wish some users here would just stop to promote commercial websites! You should not copy/paste previous answers and just put any stupid commercial information as source.

How much does it cost for an Indian to travel all of Europe?

I do not know how much it would cost to travel all of Europe but I can cite my euro trip plan and cost for it. I backpacked through Europe for a period of 24 days. I have visited Greece, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Amsterdam, Prague, Germany (just overnight stay), Switzerland. It cost me a whole of 1,60,000 approximately. The biggest advantage with Europe is you get a Schengen visa and you can travel to 26 countries of Europe. I was checking for the visa requirements list, here are the docs you need to submit:1)We need to have flight ticket bookings.2) We need to have accommodation bookings.3) Need Euro rail pass in case you are planning to travel multiple countries like I did.4) Bank account statement with a good enough balance to cover you expenses in Europe.5) Travel Insurance.  Below is the split of my expenses with a small brief and the route map:1) Visa charges - INR 60002) Air tickets (Turkish airlines) - Mumbai-Istanbul-Athens/Zurich-Istanbul-Hyderabad. - INR 55,0003) Travel Insurance - Rs 2000 (I don't remember the exact number)4) Euro Rail pass + Train Tickets - Rs 16,000 + Rs 10,0005) Accommodation charges - 45,000 - Few days I did the overnight journey on the trains, I slept outside the airports, slept in the garden near the eiffel tower and in a telephone booth to beat the cold.6) Sightseeing tickets for Colosseum, Comp Nou stadium, Eiffel Tower, Vatican City, Louvre museum, Bike rent for a day - Rs 10,0007) Food - I made it a habit to have heavy breakfast, which I get as a complimentary in the hotel I stayed. Then I used to have a burger combo in McD, this cost me about 6euros (=INR 360). A light snack in the evening worth 4 euros. I allotted a budget of 10 euros for food per day. I stayed for 24 days so 24 * 6euros = 144 euros rounding off to 150 euros. In Indian rupees, food cost me another INR 10,350.8) Misc - INR 5000. I did not do any shopping and no adventures activities in Swiss. The total cost was = 1,60,000 (rounded number).During my trip in 2012, Airbnb and couch surfing did not catch up. I used Booking.com: The largest selection of hotels, homes, and vacation rentals instead. My route map of the trip.PS: I did the trip in 2012. The value of euro was equal to INR 69. I felt that the trip can be done for a much lower cost if I had carried a tent with me because Europe is quite safe.
