Travelling Overseas With Instax Polaroid Film

Can Polaroid 300 Film PIF-300 work with Fujifilm Instax MINI 25?

Polaroid 300 is exactly the same as Fuji Instax Mini. Polaroid does not make film anymore. 300 is just Fuji Instax that is relabeled by Polaroid and the the price is much higher. I only buy Polaroid 300 when I can't pick up Instax locally but it's nearly twice the price. I would recommend buying Instax Mini in bulk from Adorama.com or BHPhoto.com so that you don't have to pay the additional costs of Polaroid 300 out of what might be temporary convenience.

Enjoy your film!

How can I protect my instax mini 8 films from x-ray during airplane travel?

My mum says wrap them in aluminum sheets, i think i could also request a "handcheck", although i suspect they would agree, but i'm a 17 year old girl and cant be a drug dealer or bomber so maybe they would allow it??

Does Fujifilm Instax Mini film work for Polaroid 300 Instant Camera?

I recently got Polaroid 300 Instant Camera, has the exact same model as Fujifilm Instax 7s.
I also noticed that Polaroid 300 Instant film actually has the same size as Fujifilm Instax Mini Film, since it's harder to find the Polaroid 300 Instant Film rather than the Fujifilm Instax Mini Film here..
I was wondering if we could use the Fujifilm's film on Polaroid, although it's stated in the box "Instax Mini Camera Only" and in my Polaroid manual also stated that I have to use Polaroid's film only..
but is it really matter?

Is the fujifilm instax film good for making transfers onto paper?

Fuji's Instax film is an integral film if my memory serves me right, which means it can not be used for emulsion lifts or image transfers. An integral film is simply all one piece. To perform an emulsion lift, one needs to peel the emulsion off of the paper of the picture, and to do an image transfer, one needs to press the black portion of the film onto the receptor - both of which simply can't be done with an integral film that is all one piece.

Fuji does have a film that works with emulsion lifts (although from what I hear the image transfers can be a little difficult) - it is FP-100C. It's a pack film, peel apart type.

Fujifilm instax film will not develop?

Hey, sorry you're having problems with your Fuji Instax, hopefully I can help!

1--Battery has nothing to do with the film processing really, it just powers the camera. As long as the batteries are strong enough to fire the shutter and kick the film out of the camera, they don't have an affect on if the image develops or not.

2--Ideally with the film removed, fire the camera's shutter while looking into the lens. Do you see the shutter open and close very rapidly? If not, the film is not being exposed and you will have to return the the camera as it is faulty.

3--What are you shooting? If your settings are for indoors but you're outdoors in the sun and you're closer than 3 feet to the subject, you may be blowing out (overexposing) the image with flash. Be sure your exposure settings are appropriate for where you're shooting and that you're at least 3 feet away from your subject. These issues will result in a totally white or near totally white print.

4--Similar to the above, if your exposure is set to outdoors and you're indoors in darkness and your flash is blocked or not going off, your image will be very dark or underexposed.

5--If none of the above, there is a REMOTE possibility that the film pack is bad. I'd buy another pack, save the receipt and test it. If it works, you can contact Fuji for a replacement or refund.

Best of luck!

Can I take my polaroid camera on a plane?

Hi,

In about two days I am going to be traveling to Europe and I was wondering if there is any rules against taking a polaroid camera on the plane in my carry on. I know this may sound silly, but I just don't want to have my camera confiscated or anything and I really don't want to cause any hassle going through security. I'm going to be taking probably a pack or two of film as well. I could pack it in my checked bag, I don't know which is better. However, I am also considered about the x-rays and what they'll do to my film?

I was just wondering if anybody had any experience with this sort of thing? Or works for an airport and knows the rules?

Answers would be greatly appreciated!

Can I have my Polaroid camera in my carry on bag?

I'm going to Mexico in a week and I was just wondering if I could bring my poloroid camera and film on the plane?

I have an Instax Mini 8 Poloroid camera. I've been doing some research and some people say that is fine to bring it on domestic flights however I don't know about international flights. I plan to leave it in my carry on bookbag and not take it out but i don't know if it's allowed or not.

Also, will the security x-Ray check thingy ruin my poloroid camera films? They have a little bit of gel in them too so I don't know if I'm allowed to carry that on the plane?

Please help me out. Thank you
