Treatment For Yeast Infection How To Donate

Is there a reason that women don’t or can’t donate menstrual blood to a blood donor clinic?

Given that medicine has included females for over 100 years, I cannot simply assume that this question is due to of male distaste for all things related to menstruation. There must be an an educational gap regarding the importance of preserving the sterile “curtain” that protects our internal organs from infection. If someone were bleeding from his/her anus, should the blood be donated to a blood donor clinic and infused into the veins of a critically ill person?Blood donation is a sterile procedure — drawn from the donor’s vein through sterile needles, tubes, etc, into a sterile collection bag which is immediately stored at the proper temperature.Menstrual blood and blood from bleeding hemorrhoids cannot be collected in a sanitary, let alone a sterile procedure. The vagina and anus are both openings from the external environment into the body that, when intact and not ruptured due to rough penetrations, have an intrinsic ability to prevent contagious organisms from establishing themselves. I won’t go through the risks of syphilis, gonorrhea, and other STD’s being transfused into a sick person’s blood supply.Openings in the bodies of clean living men and women have beneficial bacteria to fight off invading organisms, but I would not want those bacteria infused into my vein. They belong in my vagina, not my blood.Would the Original Poster want someone’s hemorrhoid blood injected into his circulatory system? What if it came from someone who had been taking antibiotics and whose immune system was fighting off a yeast infection? Suddenly, in addition to all the other health issues, the OP would be fighting septicemia. Septicemia is a common cause of death. People only survive intact if they receive urgent and attentive medical care. Often, they end up with permanent organ damage, such as kidney failure.

If I have a urinary [tract] infection or yeast infection, can I still donate plasma?

I am just curious because I have problems with these two types of infections, primarily because one leads to another; however, I recently finished taking meds. So if I were to have either or both of them again would I still be eligible to donate plasma?

Can a yeast infection be caused by sanitary napkins?

Yes it could, but it could be normal. Check yourself out in the mirror - if it looks normally and you have no discomfort I wouldn't worry yet. I know the first time I got a bad yeast infection it was very visible (like white stuff attached to me) but that isn't always the case. If you get itchy or the discharged continues get it checked out. It could be BV too, so I would go to the gyno to check out what it is (because the treatment for one can make the other worse). I got to the point where anything weird I went to the gyno and it was always BV or a yeast infection. I don't like over the counter creams, they have only made it worse for me. I switched to using a menstrual cup and have been overall more careful about keeping myself clean and not allowing anything near me that could cause a problem and I haven't had an infection in a year. Good luck ^_^.

Have a Vaginal infection, took antibiotics, now have a severe yeast infection...and no insurance?

I am sorry to hear that you are having female issues. You can go to your local health dept that goes by income base, I don't know your situation as far as finances go but you can try there. But the catch is with them you will have to tell them that you want to be tested for STD's and I know that may sound dishonest, but when you don't have insurance it is hard unless you are willing to go pay high out the pocket cost to see a provider. They have a medication called Fluconazole (Diflucan) and it is in a pill form most women can take 1 pill and the infection is gone, but most women have to take 2 with in a two day period time frame. The cost at your local Walmart are 4.00 but you have to have a script from your provider in order to obtain the medication. Also before you start antibiotic it is good to either buy you some yogurt some yogurt or the yogurt supplement pills and take them, this helps the body to replace good bacteria back into the vagina that keeps away yeast infections. Good luck!

Can people with tinea versicolor donate blood?

Yes, you can! But you must disclose any medications you are taking for it and you will likely be temporarily deferred if you are on oral antifungals. I got tinea versicolor, ringworm, and athletes foot every few years in my teens and twenties. (I swear my versicolor always looked like Russia.) I was never asked not to donate, but its because the antifungals I used were topical.

How soon can you donate plasma after havi g strep throat?

So this morning at 9:30 a.m I was treated for strep after suffering 3 long days of persistent sore throat and chills. My friend wants to go with me in a couple days to donate plasma but Im not sure if this is too soon.

Don't they test you for STDs when you donate Plasma?

The reason I ask this is a person I know is pregnant and got a call from her doc yest that she has a treatable STD and the HPV virus on top of it. She'd never had a STD so she was upset of course. Well,we was trying to determine from her last check and his last check(without letting him know what we were really doing) how long they've had it....She's been with this guy 9 months. We find it odd that they had a girl who stayed with them for a couple weeks and she had this same STD. Yes, we think he might of cheated. Anyways, he told his pregnant girlfriend that he thought he was good because recently he donated plasma. I did think they tested you when you donated so they didn't get containmated plasma or whatever. If this is the case then he'd been clean since he'd donated back then (since dating the pregnant girlfriend) which means he'd cheated the way I see it.....Just trying to figure out where this STD came from. What you think? Don't they test for STDS?

What would happen if one uses a fungal infected toothbrush for a long period of time?

Thanks for an A2A ( 3 asker). Most common fungal infection in the oral cavity is the Candida Albicans. What is Candida Albicans?Candida albicans is an opportunistic fungus (or form of yeast) that is the cause of Candida Related Complex and many undesirable symptoms including fatigue, weight gain, joint pain, and gas.The Candida albicans yeast is a normal part of your gut flora, a group of microorganisms that live in your digestive tract. Most people have some level of Candida albicans in their intestines, and usually it coexists peacefully with the other bacteria and yeasts that live there. But a combination of factors can lead to the Candida albicans population getting out of control, establishing fast growing colonies and biofilms, and starting to dominate your gut.At this point it can begin to affect your digestion, weaken your immune system, and even damage your intestinal wall, allowing its toxic byproducts to escape into your bloodstream and spread throughout your body.As they spread, these toxic byproducts cause damage to your body tissues and organs, wreaking havoc on your health and wellbeing. The major waste product of yeast cell activity is acetaldehyde, a poisonous neurotoxin that promotes free radical activity in the body. Acetaldehyde is usually broken down into acetic acid within the liver. However, if this process is not working efficiently, or too much acetaldehyde is being released, then it can circulate through your body and cause unpleasant symptoms like headaches and nausea. This is what you get from fungal infection:Credit to sourceCheck if your flatmate has or experiencing the following symptoms of candida albicans. If she doesn't experience any oral problem well she is already immune with the different fungus on her toothbrush. And only other people will get the infection once accidentally used her toothbrush. And if you can donate or give her a gift few new toothbrush that is much better. You can even prevent the spread of fungal infection to other people.

Can i donate blood if i have a toenail fungus?

Personally, I've tried a lot of different stuff over the years. I had dealt with the combo nail fungus and athletes foot for almost 20 years. One "free" thing that did help a lot was vinegar.

It didn't help much with the nail fungus but it completely stopped the athlete's foot that I was also suffering from.

For the fungus I tried a lot of different things, including over the counter treatments, vinegar, bleach, tea tree oil, vicks and lavender oil. Some of them did make a little difference but none of them completely killed the fungus.

I also tried lamisil which worked for a while then after a couple of months I had a relapse of the nail fungus. The scary thing with the lamisil is the possible health issues you can face as a result of using it, the doctor had me take a test to make sure my liver wasn't prone to problems before he'd give me the lamisil... gulp!

In the end what finally fixed my loong term problem with nail fungus was Zeta Clear. I think what also helped is that I made it a part of my daily ritual to use it.

Another thing that I did that probably helped was throw out my old shoes. I have heard that the fungus can live in your shoes and return after treatment. So to avoid a relapse I made sure to get new shoes and throw out the old ones.

Best of Luck!

I added a link in the source box to a great article that has a some pretty interesting info on toenail fungus and the different treatments you can use, if you wanna check it out:
