Usually those torrents comes with a installation guide, just a wordpad or similar text document, usually only named basically installation guide, if there is none I will try my best to explain it. I assume he got the base game installed and working, and you said he had the torrent including University life and the crack for it to work. Is sims 3 university life an expansion pack?
so on my mac im going to download The Sims 3 PLUS University Life. Im curious if thats a good download? because i dont know if university life is an expansion, or the actual game. the total is 50$ and its a trust worthy website to download it on. but i dont already have sims installed. so should i order JUST university life, or JUST sims, or both?

Okay, because it is The Sims, there is usually so much that can go wrong *sigh* ---------- Firstly, Did you happen to update your game? -> If so, this is a real pain because it has corrupted my CC before D:< There is a chance it could have corrupted yours. -> You might want to get Delphy's Dashboard (you need an account on the modthesims2 website). It is free by the way and just locate folder and it should show you broken/ corrupted content. ---------- Secondly, Do you have the game on Steam, CD or Origin? -> If it is on Steam like mine, try verifying the integrity of the game cache. This probably won't work though. -> If it is on CD or Origin, I can't really help you with that, maybe someone else could. You could try asking EA on their website help email thing (Last time I tried when my game was bugged, they just told me to get it on Origin :/ ). ---------- Thirdly, Have you tried researching the problem? -> It is possible that their update came with that bug and everyone else with Uni. Life is having the same problem. -> If that is the problem, you will have to sit tight and wait until the next patch when they fix it. One has the choice of sending one or more of your premade teen sims along with teen sims that you might have born in the game to University, and when they arrive they grow up to be Young Adults. Once there at one of Three premade University Neighborhoods, you can create new Young Adult Sims if you so desire. Playing your Sims at University consists of choosing a major for each Sim and playing 8 semesters with a Final for each semester for each Sim. Sims live in Dorms or Houses or Greek Houses. There are other Sims at the University that are playable if you wish and your Sim can meet other Sims that are not playable unless you have them move in with you into a House or Greek House. If you are a member of one of the Greek Houses or if you create your own Greek House you can throw Toga Parties. I think it is a lot of fun to Play Sims at University.

Do your relationships stick if you take a break from university (Sims 3 University)?
FINALLY another Sims player on here!! So nice to meet you!! lol!! I've played the Sims since the beginning. I don't have the University expansion pack. (Not yet.) However, whenever I take long periods (like now---who knows what changes have been made) I find more babies when I return. If I don't click "stop aging", my Sims die. This is one part of the Sims games I think needs to be changed. I like complete control of my families.It takes far too long for child services to come and pick up the unwanted Sim children and if they're dead, I'm pissed. Pissed.Based on my experience with Sims 2 University, the relationships didn't change. Therefore, I don't believe yours will. Although Sims 3 games are more advanced, the relationship aspect pretty much remains the same. Just get their friendship up to a really high level. There are cheat codes that will keep them as friends but...I'd NEVER cheat. ; )
