I've been told quite often that you have to watch out for the quiet ones. Does this mean that they can handle themselves in a fight or bad situation better?
Can you get in legal trouble for catfishing someone?
If the cat fishing involves stealing someones identity without them knowing and they choose to go after you in civil court for some damage that was done to them, yes. That can be a hard standard to meet though.If, in the course of cat fishing someone, you manipulate someone into giving you things that have a monetary value and they can successfully argue that it is who you were pretending to be that led you to do it you may be able to get compensated in civil court. Arguing they would not of done it if they knew you were of bad character is not enough though, one can not get paid back for making a foolish choice-it has to be specific and tied to specifically to who you claimed to be and reasonable that the person believed you.For a criminal case against someone who catfished you there would have to be fraud as described by another answer or an age-based crime (for example transmitting explicit pictures of or to a minor) that comes into play when the real ages of the people involved are known. If I pretend to be 16, and you are really 16, and we are sexting but it turns out I am 20 I could be found guilty of crime(s).

I don't think that borrowing eggs & eating cookies is the sign of a future criminal. If you cannot give from your heart, keep your eggs & cookies. If you have a problem with being kind to children, don't invite them into your house. What you need to do, is learn how to be a truly good neighbor. Right now, you're being a big fake! Because you are giving to your neighbor & inviting them in, when in fact you really don't like them. And you are talking about them, behind their backs-to the entire world. You are really some peice of work! It is obvious, that you have poor neighbors. People who are not struggling don't go around borrowing food! Shame on you!
