True Or False - You Work Out At Least Once A Week

Is it true that Hasidic Jews only take a shower once a week on Sunday?

that's what my mom tells me and that they smell bad because of it. I don't really want to believe her but she works in a place where there are a lot of Hasidic Jews and used to work in a Jewish nursing home.

Would a person who takes cocaine at least once a week on a casual night out be classified as an addict or a recreational user?

Just my opinion, of course.Determining whether or not someone is an addict or a recreational user really isn’t so much about how often they use as it is about their mindset. Here’s an example of what I mean.a. I’ve known people who could get paid on Friday, go and spend Friday night to Sunday morning getting fried, then put the drugs away (while they still have money!) go home and get ready for work Monday morning. They don’t use all week, they might think about it, but they don’t do it; not until Friday night, when they repeat last weekend’s activity. This person considers himself a recreational user, not an addict, because he goes all week without using, but he does this every weekend without fail. He lets nothing get in the way of that, even if his wife complains about it he’s like “I’m not some junkie, you know, it’s just how I relax on the weekend.” He thinks about it all week, and he can’t wait for Friday and the paycheck to come so he can hit the street again.b. Then you have someone who, on Friday, his coworkers might say “Hey, we going down and getting some coke, you want to come with?” He thinks about it for a minute, and then decides to go, even though he knows he shouldn’t cause his wife is home waiting. Has a ball with the guys, getting high, decides to keep hanging out. Three days later his wife finally finds him in, in jail. He was picked up because he was sitting in his car (which has no gas) stinking cause he hasn’t had a bath and has vomited a few times on himself, and crying cause he can’t figure out how to tell his wife his pay is all gone. The police had gotten calls about the man sitting there for hours, part of the time sleeping. They figured he was drunk, took him in to sleep it off; fortunately he had nothing illegal on him! The following weekend, when the guys ask, he thinks about it longingly, and then remembers how cold and lonely the couch was, and says “Hell no!!”So who’s the rec user and who’s the addict?a of course, is the addict, despite the fact that he’s never been in a ditch, or in jail, always has money, and can put the drugs down when it’s time to go home. If you asked him to stop before then though, you’d have a fight on your hands because that’s when the full-fledged addict comes out! That’s what I mean about ‘mindset’.

Could working out at least one week at a gym make a difference?

I’d say not that fast in terms of body composition. But you may ‘feel’ a difference after such a short amount of time. You may gain some neuromuscular efficiency and you also may feel sore since your muscles aren’t accustomed to the new stimulus. After all, I’d recommend trying it and (of course) keeping going. As a source of information what to do in terms of fat loss and muscle growth, you may have a look at my blog TURN. On this platform you can find the nutrition basics and soon the exercise basics series (started recently, updated every two weeks on Friday) for fat loss, physique enhancement and body transformation. I’d be glad if that’s what you’re seeking and if it helps you.

Describe yourself in a short poem in which you use the word "toenail" at least once?

Green Lawns and Pain

Nasty out here, wind like hot breath
on my skin,
a stink
on me
in me-
twenty five years ago I tried
running through the front lawn sprinkler
and smashed my right big
toe on the thing, ripping out the nail
and bruising the top of my foot.
I let the Bluetick lick it clean and knuckled back
the tears like a man.

Hot in here, today, like a red rush
of anxiety,
a stink that stays
until the coffee starts working,
until we become dinosaurs again
until we forget what green lawns look like,
until we stand on a pile of bones
and carve arrows from stone.

I've been weightlifting at least once a week for a year and my workouts are pretty intense. I've lost weight and dropped a pant size, but my BFP is the same. Could I be doing something wrong?

It’s time to look at your diet my friend!Go through any ‘real’ fitness professionals profile page, I don’t mean guys and gals that just pose all jacked and tanned with their ass and abs out, I mean a real fitness professional. I’m talking ugly bum squats and workout videos featuring real sweat. At one stage or another these fitness professionals will mention the golden rule of exercise, diet. I’ve been told that being a successful weightlifter/power lifter/bodybuilder is 70% diet and only 30% gym time, you can work out 6 days a week, but if you eat things that don’t agree with your body you’re going to remain the same.Consider your body as a classic car, a classic muscle car, you beautiful beast you. Sure, it’ll run on the cheap as chips fuel your service station provides, but if you really want that hardbody V8 to sing you need a special fuel. Something high octane with a little added zest.I’m talking about food here of course, have a quick look at Nick Cheedle or Bec Chambers on Facebook or Instagram, these guys go by a flexible diet designed for powerlifters/bodybuilders. Which can and does still include treats that you love, just in moderation. Get your diet sorted, run in a very slight deficit and I promise you your BFP will drop like a stone.

Why do I get so many injuries? I workout once a week and end up with at least 1 serious injury every 2 weeks.

There are a few reasons that you are getting injured frequently, namely:The weights you lift are too heavy - Heavy lifting does not equate to gains. The amount of weight you lift should be dependent on the goals you wish to attain, such as endurance, hypertrophy or strength. If you wish to calculate the amount of weight you require to lift for each exercise, use this SevenFitness - Intensity and Volume Calculator for Strength TrainingNo Pain No Gain - Pain or Soreness should never be an indicator for how well you train, or how much effort you have placed in your workout. Pain and soreness is rather a key indicator for overtraining - a sign to tell you that you should let your muscle rest rather than to push through the pain.Insufficient Rest - Training a particular muscle group everyday does not lead to gains. Muscle building requires time to rest and repair - shoulder press everyday isn’t going to get you a big shoulders, neither does curling whole day is going to give you a big biceps. Ovetraining a particular muscle group can lead to counter-productive effects instead. Can I have one big workout a week instead of 5 every day?

If you are a beginner to working out, then you will start to notice changes (both mental and physical) even through one workout in the week.In the longer run, however, when it comes to working out, consistency is far more important than any other factor. To put this simply, would it be enough for you to eat one big meal in the day instead of three (or more) smaller, well spaced out meals? No, right? Your body needs nutrition throughout the day in order to function at its optimal state.Similar to this, you need to put your body in motion regularly through workouts, for it to stay in the best possible shape (and I don't just mean physical shape: Remember that your body houses all your vital organs - exercise increases the flow of oxygen in the bloodstream , thus leading to better functioning of your organs).Working out is also crucial for your mental health. It leads to the release of endorphins, dopamine and serotonin - all of these lead to increased happiness and well-being.In short, regular, short workout sessions (15–20 minutes) spread throughout the week would be much more effective than one long, brutal workout only once in the week. Shorter sessions also lead to habit formation since they take lesser time and leave you with a feeling of accomplishment every time you finish one session.Hope this helps :)

Will I lose weight by working out (kickboxing) once a week and eating right?

You may, but as quickly as you might like. Get on a real good plan. The kickboxing is good, but you need maybe two more days of exercise of at least 30 minutes a time, if it is just walking. Look for little ways to increase your activity. this will help accelerate your weight loss and help you me you goal.

Only showering twice a week true??

http://time.com/4259559/shower-soap-hygiene/

This is just one of the few articles I read about only needing to shower twice a week. I workout lot and I can't imagine myself only showering two of the days out of the 5 days I workout throughout the week. Plus my bed will stink! Is this true or is it just a new fad? I shower once per day after a hard days work.
