Throat and chest pain after cocaine.?

Dont say you shouldnt do drugs. Im an adult and im responsible for my own decisions and i would appreciate serious answers. I snorted cocaine for the first time last night from about 1:15 AM till about 4:45 AM in all about 5 small (newbie as they say) lines. at around 6 o'clock i was perfectly fine but noticed shortness of breath when trying to take a deep breath only. as the day went on ive had a sharp pain in my upperchest and lower throat area(when i swallow) almost like a sore throat...from what I looked up, its a common effect for beginners(not getting on it, only tried it) but its what is happening from the initial snorting itself, its irritating and i should be fine but who can trust the internet. Its not too bad to where when i was in front of my friends when the pain came i was able to hide it as if i wasnt feeling anything, but i would love a serious answer from maybe a coke user on if theyve felt this before and how long it lasted and what they did to help, I want to avoid the ER and doctors and to professionals, a brief explaination why?

This is an easy one for me to answer, but it may not cover your personal situation. If it gets worse or continues please see a doctor soonest…About 12 years ago, I went to see the British comedian, Bill Bailey, doing a standup show in our country. He was brilliant, and I’ve never laughed so much before or after…As my partner and I walked out, I became aware of an aching pain down the front of my body between chest and waist. I had laughed SO much, that I had given my diaphragm a constant huge workout…!So, when I caught a nasty gastric virus eight months ago, that had my body convulsing at both ends, after I had had a shot to stop the vomiting, I was not surprised to feel the diaphragm playing up again, like a twisted unwound spring.Hopefully, that’s all yours is, and should get better with a good nights sleep. If it gets worse, go straight to your doctor.

Weird chest/throat pain?

I would say it also sounds like Gerds.. But anxiety can make this happen also.. Thats the sad part anxiety can make everything worse.. You also stated your a hypochondriac.. Witch I am also.. Always fear the worse and that you have the worse wrong with you.. If I get a pain that don't go away in a few hours I am like OMG ITS CANCER LOL... You being only 18 its VERY rare for you to have a heart problem but when it comes to your chest take no chances. Go to your doctor just for peace of mind. I am 99.999% sure its nothing to bad lol but it will make you feel better after you are told that by someone who really knows what they are talking about lol..

Now What I think you should do is go to the store and buy some 150MG of Zantac its a bata blocker so it will block acids and it may help.. If in 30 minutes you feel better then you can be pretty darn sure its has to do with your tummy.

But still you should get a test for gerds and other NON-deadly tummy problems.. Anxiety and being a hypochondriac ALONE can make you feel 100 X's worse then you really do.. Its all mental, even if it feels very real. You may need to also talk to your doctor about some Anti-Anxiety meds.. I have been on them for years and they can really help. ALSO you should think about getting some Counseling.. Talking about your Anxiety and fears never hurts and sometimes can make the Anxiety less just to have someone to talk to!!..

You will be fine and take good care if yourself hun.. Go to the doctors and get peace of mind!

Can a virus cause throbbing chest pain?

I have been in bed since Tuesday. It started with a headache and then a soar throat, although my throat isn't really soar it actually hurts and then chest pain, with achy joints like arthritis. My mom passed of Lupus and every time I get sick, I automatically assume that that is what is wrong. So yesterday I went to the doctor and at first he thought I had pneumonia, but then he checked my lungs and said they were clear and he told me that it was just a virus. At first it was just a lot of pressure but then my chest recently started throbbing (on my left side) as of yesterday and I'm a little scared because I have never felt like this. Im not coughing, or sneezing, but I did have a low grade fever. I check it every now and then and it ranges between 98.6 - 99.6. I was wondering if anyone may know more about this and if they have experienced chest pain with a virus. Thank you for your comments.

Why did i get a sharp chest pain after drinking water?

That sounds like a partially pinched muscle in your back that the pain is being caused by. The muscle isn't pinched tight but it isn't fully released either so it can be moved into the pain area fairly easy. when you chugged that water down and tilted your head back it put enough pressure on the muscle to make it go fully pinched for a period of time and the pain was on. When you have muscles pinched in the rib area the pains like to follow the ribs to the front and then manifest themselves there. Here is how to release your back muscles so this don't happen anymore, it will make a full release of that muscle in your back:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder and find the muscles next to your spine and firmly press on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
for best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

Upper stomach, chest, and throat pain?

Sounds like you could be suffering from severe acid reflux. When you have lots of acid in your stomach it can cause gastritis(inflammation of the stomach lining) or ulcers. If the reflux is severe enough it can come back up into the esophagus. When the esophagus gets irritated or inflammed and it causes what we call esophageal spasms. These can be extremely painful in the chest area and can also be felt in the upper back. If the reflux gets into the throat it can burn the upper esophagus and can give you a very sore/raw feeling throat. Just in case it is reflux get some OTC Mylanta and take as direcrted on the bottle and also pick up something like, Tagament, Zantac, or Prilosec and take it every day. You may need to elevate the head of your bed, because if you eat/drink too close to bedtime it causes the food/drink to come back into the esophagus. In the mean time stear clear of acidic foods like fruit juices or tropical fruits and limit the amount of coffee or chocolate you consume. Also fatty/fried foods can make reflux worse. Also go ahead and make appt with your regular MD or call and make appt with a gastroenterologist. This doctor specializes in diseases of the GI tract and he can rule out ulcers. This is important because if stomach or esophageal ulcers go untreated they can lead to GI bleeding or in worst case-perfpration of the stomach. Hope you feel better soon.

Go and see your doctor. Quora isn't the place for diagnosis.

Headache, ear pain, chest pain, and hurting throat?

I started getting a slight, sharp headache on the right side of my head about four hours ago, and about two hours ago, it moved to both sides. Now, both my ears hurt, my head hurts even worse when I take a breathe, as does my chest. My throat hurts too when I take a breathe. I don't know what's going on, I've never had this happen to me before. What could this possibly be?

I feel hollowness in my body every single time i get depressed but i choose to not let it overpower me and stop my urge to swallow some pills and reduce my agony. I rather choose to let that pain fuel my desire to try again for what i lost, which in turn made me depressed. No amount of anti depressants will reduce the actual agony and as soon as you stop popping pills it will hover over like a cloud again.I try to either run or box my heart out or do pull ups and punish my body. Take out your frustration in a legal enough way and devise a plan to get back what belongs to you. You have failed and become depressed because there was somewhere you went wrong. No dont listen to people around you and do what your heart says. We are all going to die soon enough so why not just try and achieve our objective. There is no cure for depression so suck iy up and deal with it. Act,adapt & overcome.
