Trying To Get 5.1 Sound For Ps3

I am trying to get my PS4 to stream sound through a Bluetooth speaker, but I get a message saying the profile is not supported. What should I do?

There are now multiple ways for you to stream your local DRM-free media files to your PS4 by using the “Media Player” app. Your PS4 can even play unprotected local music files in MP3 or AAC (M4A) formats in the background while you play a game. I find this is the quickest and easiest way to stream music to PS4, i even figure out how to stream my apple music tracks to PS4 by following the steps in the tutorial below. Hope it helps.3 ways to stream Apple Music on iPhone to PS4

How can I connect a PS4 to surround sound?

You will need a Home Theater Receiver that supports surround sound (5.1, 7.1 etc.) and you will need the necessary speakers. (2 front, 2 back, 1 center, 1 subwoofer for 5.1, add 2 side speakers for 7.1). You will need an additional HDMI cable (in addition to the PS4 HDMI cable).Route the HDMI out of the PS4 into one of the HDMI inputs of your receiver.Route the HDMI out of the router to your TV.Select the proper inputs on your receiver and your TV.Voila. Surround sound.p.s - I have my PS4 hooked up to a 5.1 system and I love it.

Can I get surround sound for my PS3 through a Sony BDV-E190 home theatre system?

What TV do you have Make and model?

There are two options available.

1.) Some TVs have 5.1 optical pass through, meaning whatever is being displayed on the TV the sound will then come down into the surround sound. It's worth noting that regular broadcast TV will still only be in stereo. If you are unsure, consult your TV's owner manual.

2.) Some newer TV's have a feature called HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel). This is only enabled on HDMI2 on TV's. So it eliminates the need for a separate optical cable. This also unalters the digital sound, so 5.1 sources should be in 5.1. I have checked your BDVE-190 and this DOES support ARC. For the feature to work the TV needs to support this as well. Again, if you are unsure, consult your TV manual, or look on the back of the TV and look to see if one of your HDMI inputs are labelled up as ARC.

EDIT:
That is indeed a strange one. You are correct, the PA6500 doesn't seem to mention it having ARC, but it seems like LG themselves don't even know whether it does or not! Just to check, are you changing the audio source on the BDVE-190 through the different inputs by pressing the function button on the remote, and then selecting optical?

If this doesn't work, I think there is a fault somewhere.

Surround sound problems PS3?

You need a receiver, that Videologic is not a surround system, is a speaker set only.
I suggest you , if you want the maximum results with the brand new Samsung and the excellent PS3, to get a 7.1 surround sound system, Onkyo is offering good choices in a box at Amazon.com.(good and reliable site to shop online)
If your budget is a little higher, you can get a receiver with another brand of speakers compatible with it.I have Onkyo 605 with all JBL speakers.
So, forget Videologic ZXR-500
Once you get a decent A/V receiver, hook HDMI direct to TV from PS3 for video only, and PS3 to Surround via Optical cable for audio only.

How to connect the ps3 to sony Surround sound home theatre system?

Anyone help me i've tried just about everything and still nothings working i think i might just go back to the xbox360 slim "i think that ps3 is awesome " free online play and all the games you want for 9.99 but the xbox360 has less compatibility issues. Can anyone please give me some info on hooking the surround sound up before i trade my system in?

PS3 7.1 surround sound, and 1080p picture output?

Yes, a single HDMI cable can transmit multi-channel audio and HD video {depending on the HDMI version (google: HDMI) }
So, you can connect PS3 to an AV receiver input with 1 HDMI, then the AVR to HDTV input with 1 more HDMI
Refer to the PS3 manual for audio and video settings.

Many AV receivers accept (and passthrough) 1080P HDMI video and 7.1 DolbyTrueHD or DTS-HD

See Onkyo, Denon, Yamaha, Marantz, etc... confirm that the receiver model accepts 7.1 audio and 1080p via HDMI

How do you hook up both a ps3 and a surround sound system to an Emerson flat screen tv?

The cable you're using won't cut it for full surround, only stereo. Also, if you're using a PS3 component cable, there's only 5 total output RCA connectors, not 6.

For reference, the Red and White RCA connectors are the Stereo audio output cables from the PS3; the other 3 are Component Video outputs. They should be marked.

To remember output and input:

The output transmission signal of one device goes from the transmitting device's output jacks to the input jacks of the receiving device.

If it's a newer surround system with TOSLINK (optical) inputs, what you need to do is get an HDMI cable and route the video out (HDMI) from your PS3 to one of your TV's HDMI inputs. Newer TV's have several different input selection channels to choose the signal input from the particular device you wish to view (e.g., cable TV box, PS3, DVD player, etc.).

For the audio, use a TOSLINK cable to route the audio from your PS3 to your surround sound unit. Optical connections will allow you to get 5.1 surround from your PS3; as I said previously, the cable you're using will only give you stereo, and only 720p video.

With TOSLINK cables though, you're only sending the signal from the PS3 to the Surround unit, which will process the surround audio. The HDMI cable will send both HD video and audio to your TV, but the TV can't process surround sound (unless it's setup to do so). In any case, you can setup your PS3 for multiple audio output sources, so that you can get sound through the TV as well as your surround unit.

Will a 7.1 surround sound headphones help a single sided deaf person?

No I don't think so, Your Ear Drum will decode frequencies and your mind will calculate where sound comes from so you will be able to feel no surround, since sound will come from only on side,Rather good option is to buy Sennheiser RF 195, which provides virtual surround head phones with capabilities for hearing impaired,Though you can try, and let me know the result, it would be great experiment,

Headphones: What's the best PS3 5.1/7.1 surround sound headset?

I have the Sharkoon Xtatic which is the EU equivalent of the AX Pro. The sound is fantastic and the headset has served me well for the best part of 2 years. However they are starting to lag behind in terms of customisable sound settings so I'm looking at upgrading to the 2013 Astro A40s....http://gaming-headsets.co.uk/hea...

Last try: any solutions for my home theatre surround sound dilemma?

Alright, here is my problem..

Today I went out and bought a brand new LG 42" LH30 1080p HDTV.

I have a Panasonic SA-PT950 5.1 surround sound system.

I also have a PS3.

Right now I have an HDMI cable going from the PS3 to the TV and an HDMI cable going from the back of the Panasonic receiver to the TV.

I can't get the surround sound to work unless I am watching a DVD in the Panasonic. Then I have 5.1 DTS. I connect my TV receiver to the Panasonic with regular RCA cable, and get standard surround sound for my TV (not 5.1 DTS), which doesn't bother me because I don't watch movies on TV, only shows and sports.

Here is the dilemma:
What do I need to do to get the PS3's Blu-Ray player HD sound to come out of the Panasonic 5.1 DTS surround sound? On the back of the receiver is 1 HDMI output and a component output and an aux output with just the red and white.

Thanks!!
