Trying To Hook Up Stereo

Hooking my stereo up to my TV HELP?

You prob need to go into the audio settings of the TV and enable external speakers.

If the stereo is a 5.1 setup, you should use a digital connection. I'm sure the TV has a digital audio output (optical or coax) but you didn't specify whether the stereo does or not. Your cables should work but you can't get 5.1 DD using those.

If it's just a 2 channel stereo, just connect using rca stereo cables (red/white) from the TV's red/white audio out.

I'm trying to hook up a home stereo system in my car and it isn't working properly, suggestions?

I have a Tripp Lite 120v power inverter so it should be getting enough power. The 2 subs in the back wont kick and there is a loud annoying buzzing that wasn't present when I had it hooked up in home.

How do you hook up your ipod to a car stereo?

Usually via a Bluetooth connection or a USB input that is part of the head I it's built in connections and functionality. For a head unit without those, I've seen stereo transmitters that take your iPod signal and broadcast it to a channel on your stereo where you can tune in and listen. I looked into them at one point but all the ones I saw had poor reviews.

Trying to hook up a 1992, 5 piece, Kenwood, home stereo system.?

I am having trouble with the correct wiring for a Kenwood Receiver (KR-9508), amplifier (KA-94), cassette deck (KX-71RB), CD player, and a Fisher graphic equalizer. Each piece is from the early 90's era, so I haven't been able to find a helpful website on setup or the correct manuals. If someone could suggest some sites on how-tos, that would be great. And, please do not recommend Kenwood, because I've tried with no success. Thanks

How do I hook up and old stereo to a new hdtv?

I want to connect my Sony str-k502p stereo http://i34.tinypic.com/ake2o2.jpg to a Vizio VW22L tv. The connectors in the back are for hdmi, component, s-video, a/v and SPDIF. I tried connecting the red and white wires from the tv to the stereo. But that didn't work. The only way the stereo works is if i connect the tv to the dvd player then connect the dvd player to the stereo with the orange coaxial cable. But that's if I want to watch a dvd movie. What should I do?

Trying to hook up car radio/subs/amp?

1) Hook this to your 'power antannae' wire for your car, if so equipped.
2) Hook this up to the 'remote' terminal on your amp.
3) This is the ground wire, there should be a ground wire in the factory harness.
4) Yes, RCA wires from RCA output on stereo to RCA input on amp.
5) Yes, battery, ground, and speaker wires are all needed for the amp to work.

PLEASE just take the car a your local car audio shop.
PLEASE!

Good Luck!

I have hooked up my dvd player, stereo, and tv, but, I get an "unusable signal" how do i fix that....help!!!

If you run your DVD player through your stereo and you get that message, you need to make sure your stereo's output is set to "DVD." It's possible that you're getting that message because your TV is on the wrong line feed. And if you have a VCR hooked up also, you need to make sure that it is set to "line 1" or "audio/visual" depending on which one yours uses.

When I get this message on my TV screen, it usually means I haven't turned on the stereo to the DVD output or that the VCR is not on "line 1."

How do I hook up a technics equalizer and to a technics stereo receiver?

Connect the equalizer to the tape deck jacks on the receiver:

The recording output jacks on the receiver
feed signals to the Line In jacks on the EQ.

The Line Out jacks on the EQ return the signals
to the playback jacks on the receiver.

Activate the Tape Monitor on the receiver.
