I agree with all the other answers on this question. Lots of factors go into being health and what weight is right for a child. If she is over all healthy and active don't worry so much about her weight. If you or dad is small framed then it's perfectly normal. Some things you might want to ask the dr about is something that might help her get the nutrients back that she missed in the meals. Pediasure is a good product that can give her extra cals. There's also some powders that you can add to meals that will help with extra protein and cals. Just check with your dr make sure before you start anything.

You probably should weigh between 115 - 140 and closer to the lower end at your age.

You need to start exercising even if only fast walking ½ hour every day. You should cut your calories to 1400 a day and remember you need to cut 3500 calories by eating less or exercising more to lose one pound.
If you want to eat healthy, try low fat, high protein, low carb diet. Eat meat like chicken, fish and turkey, never fried, either grilled or baked. Eat low fat cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, etc., to help cut the fat out of your diet. When it comes to carbohydrates, avoid potatoes, rice, pasta and anything made with white flour, like cake, bread, cookies, pies, candy or anything with suger. Don't drink soda with sugar, try tea, coffee, diet soda instead and drink lots of water. Do eat salad, green leafy veggies like lettuce, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, etc., because these are low glycemic veggies. Also try to get fiber in your diet through bran cereal, fruit with the peel, whole wheat bread, etc.

This type of diet is filling and healthy and will produce benefits in the long run.

are your parents heavy? Sometimes people just cannot get skinny because of their genes, not saying this is the case, but it is a possibility. Cut sodium from your diet, look up carb cycling, eat small meals thoughout the day instead of 2 or 3 large meals. Go to the gym or run walk swim play with friends or anything active and the weight will come off. Ask someone if it is okay for someone your age to be taking that, it isnt something crazy or doesnt give overnight results, but it does aid in fat burning.
