Twitter Sometimes Showing Picture And Sometimes Just Showing A Link

I am new to Pinterest. When I click on a picture sometimes it connects to a link that gives me more information about the picture, and other times it just shows a bigger picture. Why is that?

A pin is an image/photo. It is digitised and could be in different formats i.e. (.jpg / .bmp) etc. These are the extensions which differentiate the code format. If a pin is pinned from a webpage the pin arrives on the Pinterest computers containing the link (embedded) in the webpage from where it came.If the pin was pinned from someone's own photo album resident on their device there would be no link. If it were pinned from someones online album there would be a link back there.Richard - Retired Serial Entrepreneur - UK Pinterest ExpertPinterest is a good tool for bookmarking, organising and driving web traffic - it is searchable in the same way Google is. Twitter doesn't show a preview of my blog link. How do I rectify this on CMS?

Twitter is one of the best micro-blogging websites on the WWW. With a character limit users can share information, express their feelings and comment. Do you think this is Justin Bieber's real personal Twitter account?

Plain and simple, no. I don't think it's his personal account, I doubt he has another other than @justinbieber. I checked this kidrauhl one out and although it's private I can tell from the about me description it's not him. Justin wouldn't say his name was swagger and it just doesn't sound like stuff he'd say, sorry

In Twitter, why do some web links render an images in a tweet and others only display the URL?

Websites can add meta tags to let social media sites know about the content. Twitter will see their specific meta tags but will also rely on the Open Graph Protocol if their specific tags don’t exist. It was created as a marketing tool to increase engagement on social media. Here’s a good article about it.

When posting a link on Twitter, should I manually insert a photo or let Twitter generate a link preview?

Twitter will only use an image or ad any other Twittercards that have been set up on a website before. On this website I found an explanation for adding such a twitter card. Like you can see in the dollowing image, there are specific tags you can find inside the code, that will Twitter tell what to show.If the website didn’t impement these tags, no card will be displayed, and there might only appear a link in a small tweet. I think most of the people might do it with a short try and error by sending the tweet and deleting it again if nothing appears. How ever, try to check this on your own, tweets with link only might be flooded away by many others.Written by xandrucea

Why does Twitter sometimes say this tweet is unavailable, but you can still click through to the tweet that is linked?

Erica Friedman is correct — this happens when:You Quote Tweet person X’s tweetYou subsequently block (or previously have blocked) person XThe most frequent way this happens (I'm guessing) is that you Quote Tweet from someone obnoxious or adversarial and afterwards you decide to block them. I've done this a few times. See example below:

How do I ensure that my link on Twitter will display a thumbnail instead of just a URL before I post?

You could use Twitter cards for your website if that’s where you are sharing from.Another way is to put the photo in the tweet itself. I do this sometimes when others do not have the photo from their website showing. Having images really increases the chance of the tweet being seen more and re-tweeted.

How do I create a clickable link with preview and image on Twitter?

While you cannot attach images to tweet buttons or click to tweet links, what you can do is include a link to an image that has already been tweeted out.7You see, when you attach an image to a normal tweet, the image is uploaded to Twitter and becomes a hyperlink to that specific image, like this:pic.twitter.com/XfD62RitTNAnytime someone sends a tweet that includes a pic link like that, Twitter4 will automatically grab and attach the linked image and display it as a full image instead of a link.So that means you can specify an image in any tweet you want... the trick is getting the image link first. As you might have guessed, you have to issue a tweet and attach the image before you'll be able to get that link. Create a tweet as you normally would, either using your sharing buttons or tweeting on pic.twitter.com natively, and drag an image from your desktop into the tweet to attach and send it.Note: If you're preparing for an article that you haven't yet published, you can either:Delete the tweet after you've found the image link.Wait until you've published the article to send the tweet, and then edit it to add your custom button after it's live.Use a dummy Twitter account that has no followers.Once you've sent the tweet, got your Twitter profile, find the tweet at the top of your timeline, and click on the timestamp to open the tweet in a new modal window.Note: Do not right-mouse click the image. The image you see in the tweet uses a link like http://pbs.twimg.com which will not work. We need that pic.twitter.com link.Next, click on the More menu, click on Embed Tweet, deselect "include media" then copy the pic url from there. For more details and use cases, go to How To Attach Images To Tweet Buttons.
