Should polygamy be legal between consenting adults? If no, then why not?
On a grand scale, polygamy is highly unethical. Let’s say for simplicity we have a population of 100 men and 100 women. With monogamy, everyone should be more or less happy, even allowing for a few gays and lesbians pairing off. But suppose just ten fortunate (or rich) men decide to have four wives each. That means they have appropriated forty women, leaving just sixty women for the other ninety men. What do you want to happen now? I suggest adultery, rape and voluntary homosexuality, all of which would soon attract the death penalty because the powerful men in society are OK but they want to know that no one is going to invade their harems or offend their fragile morals. This is not unlike what we may have sometimes seen in the Middle East.If our model community represents the Islamic world, there is a solution. Simply agree that men in the community can marry Christian women but that women in the community can not marry Christian men. You have thereby achieved a potential gender balance in the community, but only by creating an imbalance in the Christian community. The Christians will scarcely notice this until the consequent lower fertility means their number fall so low that the continuing loss of women starts to hurt.
How can bestiality be legal but sex between minors and adults illegal?
The main argument for criminalizing all sexual relationships between minors and adults regardless if the minor wants to be in the relationship or not is that minors do not have the mental competence to 'consent' to sex. Animals do not have the mental capacity to consent to anything either. However bestiality has been legalized in many states because sex with humans does not intrinsically cause harm to the animal. If sex does not automatically cause harm to the animal, then it doesn't automatically cause harm to humans under the age of 18. This is further shown by the fact that that minors are often allowed by law to have sex with each other if they are within 3 years age difference. People with mental disabilities (such as down syndrome) and are therefore also not mentally competent are not prohibited by law from being in romantic/sexual relationships with mentally competent people. If someone's wife gets alzheimers or dementia or has a brain injury that makes them mentally incompetent that person is not prohibited by law from still making love to their wife. Why can minors have sex with each other, adult humans and animals can have sex, and mentally incompetent adults and mentally competent adults have sex, but minors and adults cannot have sex?

No, I don't think so. I just think that you have become accustomed to your husband being around that now it seems unnatural for him to not be there. With time, this will get better. This is a time for healing. Getting yourself together during this time apart will really do wonders for you.

I assume we’re talking about adult children here, because the process for legally separating oneself from one’s minor children is an entirely different matter.That being said, you disown your children by explicitly writing them out of your Last Will & Testament, thereby excluding them from any inheritance claims. From a strictly technical standpoint, the only default legal relationship that exists between adult children and their parents is one of inheritance rights. There is no other naturally recognized legal relationship between the two parties. There might be some additional status such as Power of Attorney, but only if that is already stipulated in advance, and that would obviously have to be changed by a parent seeking to disown a child. Otherwise you can’t just go to court and get a court order specifically saying that an adult child is no longer your child, because legally speaking they are in fact nobody’s “child” at this point, save for the aforementioned inheritance question. On the other hand, you can declare anybody you want to be your legal heir.As for cutting off communication and contact, you’re pretty much on your own for making that happen and in hoping that they’ll respect your wishes. If, however, you want to twist the knife a little further into your kids, I suppose you could seek a temporary restraining order against them as well, but in order to secure one of these you would have to able to provide evidence that their efforts - if any - at communicating with you either rises to the legal standard of harassment, or constitutes a form of threat against your well-being and safety.I am providing this counsel strictly as a layman and for informational purposes only. How many people can legally live in a studio apartment in pa?
Okay so this apartment has a separated kitchen area and then one big bedroom. I have a room divider and I have split it into two sections one for bedroom and one for a living room area. I want my boyfriend, myself and we are having a newborn child in a month or so to live here. I know that we can make it work for the next year but my boyfriend is on parole so they have to come check out the apartment after we move. lisa E - that is a lie, i have had many friends who were at high risk of having birth defects in their children and ALL of them have had them, yes their children have problems, but they love them just as much, also, not always, i agree if someone has been forced into it then its bad, but if it is consensual, then its fine, i had a girlfriend or 2 when i was 14, does that make it horrible? if one was 15 and the other was 13, is that against the law? no, and who says they would have sex at that age? and i believe it is shortened to hun.

That's a good question. You could make the argument that polygamy and gay marriage are actually the same issue - a ban on marriage between consenting adults. I have no problem with either. Polygamists are crazy if they want more than 1 wife - but hey, to each his own.
