Is that true that getting engineer visa for UAE we must have original degree certificate, provisional degree certificate is not sufficient?

I will share what knowledge I have with regards to this. But I would suggest you drop the Ministry of Immigration and Residency Affairs and e-mail or call them up to cross check and get more precise information.on the norm, depending from private sector to public sector, the HR tries not to stamp the truthful employment designation of the staff as this would lead to a lot of fees and deposits. Usually they try to stamp Archive clerk/driver/messenger/documents clerk/….etc which are lower on the fees and deposits, thus saving the company cash outflow and securing another qualified staff. This is generally practiced in the private sector and I've never heard of such practice in the public sector. I work in the public sector but previously was in the private, which is I state the above. However, the provisional certificate would suffice to get the emplyment visa sanctioned but in order to stamp the visa on the passport, the original document would have to be furnished + it mght have to be attested by the educational ministry/council depending on which emarat would be issuing the visa (differs from company to company)good luck.
