Im not sure how your network is set up but it is possible that the router is only letting certain IP’s or a certain number of people connect. Is this “jimmy” supposed to have access to your router? If not, how does he have your WEB key to connect? Make sure none of the settings have been changed. First thing I would do is unplug the cable modem (assuming that’s what you have), the router, and the computer. Wait at least 15 seconds, Then start the modem and wait for all the lights to laminate that are supposed to laminate. Once the modem initializes itself and has a connection, start the router. Again wait maybe a half a minute so it initializes. Now start up your computer. If this does not work then you may need to plug the computer directly to the modem bypassing the router but again following these reset procedures. This will help narrow down your problem.
