My Siberian Husky sheds NONSTOP! It is unbearable. Any advice?

My boyfriend and I bought a beautiful Siberian Husky puppy in March. We did a lot of research before deciding on a husky, and one major "pro" of owning a Husky was the fact that they do not shed or shed once a year and the shedding is very manageable. However, since about June, she has been shedding constantly. The house is covered from floor to ceiling in hair. Our clothes are covered in hair. The bed and sheets and pillows are covered in hair. When we sit down to eat dinner, we end up eating hair on our food. If I have a glass of wine, eventually there will be hair floating in it. I wake up during the night choking on hair or my face is tickling from hair landing on it. We brush her and brush her and brush her and vacuum and vacuum and vacuum and dust and dust and dust, but we can't seem to get rid of the hair problem. Does ANYBODY have any advice? Is there anything we can do to either lessen the amount she sheds or to manage the hair around the house? (p.s. We live in Alabama!)

How could I involuntarily resign due to intolerable work conditions created by my employer who has retaliated and harassed me?

If you do not have an employment agreement that specifies conditions for leaving your job, you can quit anytime you want. My guess is your question is whether or not to state why you are leaving. My suggestion is you not tell your employer  why you are leaving, too often these words come back to haunt you. If you are afraid of retaliation/harassment you can go into his/her office say you are quitting and walk out of the office and go home never to return again. However, if you have an HR department I would go to them and let them know you may be leaving your job and need to know what forms, etc. need to be completed so you get your paycheck. If you are working for a vindictive boss and they ask why your are thinking about leaving, I would respond by saying you are just considering other career opportunities. My concern is that you get your last paycheck and payout of any other funds owed you.

How do you overcome unbearable existential anxiety?

Existential anxiety is one of the symptoms of Schizoid Personality Disorder (SPD).Note: Schizoid, NOT Schizophrenia or Schizotypal. Those last two are entirely different types of problems. Many famous philisophers, especially the Existential Philosophers, have talked about similar issues to the ones you describe. In general, the sort of anxieties you are talking about reflect an intense fear of becoming so disconnected from other people that life seems pointless.Fears about ContactUsually, the real issues under these existential fears have to do with fears about contact and intimacy. When individuals with Schizoid issues feel it is too unsafe to attach to other people because they are afraid of being dominated and controlled and losing their autonomy and sense of self, they start to distance and cut people out of their life.Too Much DistancingWhen they get too disconnected, they fear becoming so distant that they cannot reconnect with the world,Existential FearsLiving without meaningful connections to other people leads to a sense of hopelessness. The fear for the “Universe” can be a metaphor for your fear for yourself.DissociationMany people who have made Schizoid adaptations had abusive and very scary situations in their childhood. They could not physically leave because they were too young to be on their own, so they learned to emotionally and psychologically detach themselves. They “go away” in their minds. Sometimes this leaves people feeling like robots or detached from their bodies. This can lead to feeling even more disconnected from everyday life and other people. What to Do: If you see yourself in the above description you need to:Find a psychotherapist who is familiar with Schizoid issues.Make efforts to reconnect to other people who feel safe.Read up on Schizoid Personality Disorder to see if this diagnosis actually relates to you.Realize that you are not alone. Other people have had similar anxieties and learned how to deal with them. Many of our best science fiction and fantasy writers, scientists, computer experts, and doctors have had similar fears to yours. They have found ways to manage their contact issues so that they don’t trigger existential anxieties or leave them feeling overwhelmed by their contact with other people.Good Luck!Elinor Greenberg, PhD, CGPIn private practice in NYC and the author of the book: Borderline, Narcissistic, and Schizoid Adaptations: The Pursuit of Love, Admiration, and Safety.www.elinorgreenberg.com

How unbearable is a 40c degree weather (Qatar)?

July/August and September are the worse months in the Gulf Region weather wise. But there are ways to beat the heat.

Visiting the beach is a waste because the Gulf is no refreshment at all. Only cooled pooles will do. Use a Sun lotion with a very high SF, have your head covered, drink a lot and stay in the shade. You'll still get a nice sun tan. Avoid the sun between 12 am and 3 pm. Wear mostly clothes of natural materials like cotton and clothes should fit loose.

Don't worry to much because all buildings (malls, restaurants, shopping centres, appartments, etc.) have air condition. Mostly it's not the heat that gets people, it's the humidity.

Visiting family, you should not worry about anything, they hopefully will take care of you.

Please enjoy your vacation, you won't regret it.

Severe pain in left leg, the pain is unbearable?

i have pain going from behind my knee on the left side shooting down to the bottom of my foot, i do alot of bycicle riding but i have never had this problem before, so far i am going 2 days without sleep and the pain is getting worse.I I can't see anything on the outside of my leg, like bruises or cuts but something feels seriously wrong, also it is not a leg cramp.

On what condition, or limit, should I resign? Is it okay if I resign without getting a new job first?

It is always advisable to have another job to go into. Consider the amount of money that you require for your financial commitments each month such as rent or mortgage etc…How long will it take you to find a new job if you suddenly quit? If the answer is months then you will need to have enough money saved to safely meet all of those commitments throughout that period and then possibly beyond. You will often have to work a month or two in hand (or a week or two) before getting paid. This is why you should never quit in the heat of the moment, unless you can afford to.Perhaps if your job is causing you discomfort or stress there might be ways to change this without having to resorting to quitting. Are you a member of a union? Have you contacted them? Have you considered discussing your concerns in a positive and proactive manner with your employers? If they will react badly to that and fire you then at least you tried…you may even be able to take legal action against them in that instance depending on how long you have worked there based on unfair dismissal. Communication is often the key to solving these issues, try to communicate with your employers first (probably best in writing so there is a record of it, signed for would be best.)Its a tricky situation to be in. It happens a lot to a lot of people. Think of all the pros and cons of discussing it, putting up with it, and quitting. And then take action. What’s the worst that can happen? Getting fired from a job that you hate can feel very liberating, as long as you can afford those pesky bills afterwards.Best of luck! :)

Need to get out of apartment lease agreement. Need advice so that I am not penalized.?

Moved in to an apartment in January which I was told after signing the lease that it was not actually ready for rent. After moving in found many repairs were needed. Made maintenance complaints, work orders were put in but repairs never made. After about 3 months of not paying the rent becasue of the repairs not being fixed a notice of evction was placed.Told them the reason why I withheld the rent and said that it was against the law so I paid. I then told tem that I wanted to gt out of the lease and they offered th option of a transfer to a new apaprtment in a different building. Thought this would work because Im pregnant and the condtions were becoming unbearable and unhealthy for me.
So i agreeded to the transfer which they made me sign an new lease but the apartment building has some of the same unhabitatual and unhelthy conditions for me and daughter that will be here in about 2 months.
