Under Age Drinking What Will Happen

What will happen if you get caught drinking underage while in the military?

They way I look at it if you're old enough to volunteer to fight and die for your country then you can have a beer. Having said that, if you stay on base and don't get into trouble then I think you will be OK. If you're out on town and get nailed by the local cops you're going to twist in the wind.

What happens if your caught underage drinking?

-Getting cited for underage drinking is a violation, which technically is not a criminal charge like a misdemeanor. Violations are punishable by a fine of no more than $500 and do not carry jail time.
-Technically, in order to be proven guilty, an officer must witness you drinking, remove the actual drink from your hand, and then save a sample of the drink that must later test positive for alcohol.
-Underage drinking citations are rarely challenged in court and are usually resolved quickly.

Potential Penalty
First offense- $150 fine, possible 30-hrs of community service and/or 60-day license suspension
* In many cases, a judge may offer that you just pay the fine or in some cases a judge may order you to complete a 20-hour alcohol program called RYDD

What to do:

* Remain calm and be polite – your behavior will be taken into account.
* Keep your mouth shut! Anything that you say can and will be used against you
* Comply with all orders given to you by law enforcement officers.
* If given a form to sign, read all of it. If you are not comfortable signing something or answering a question, advise the officer(s) that you wish to speak with an attorney first.

What not to do:

* Even if you believe what is happening is unreasonable, DO NOT talk back or give attitude. An officer can readily charge you with various criminal charges that cannot be resolved as easily as an alcohol citation. Be respectful.
* Do not give any statements, confessions, excuses, etc. This will only work to your detriment. Regardless of what an officer tells you, remember, you are innocent until proven guilty.

Attorney: It is always best to consult with an attorney for any court proceeding. If you cannot afford to hire an attorney, the RI Public Defender’s Office may be available to assist you or you may contact the PC Student Advocacy Organization (PCStudentAdvocate@gmail.com) at least a week before your court date to obtain free representation.

Record: Violations are disposed of once you complete the requirements of your sentence…this means that the case will be thrown out and expunged from your record.

Questions: If you have any questions or concerns involving contact with any police department or judicial proceedings contact the PC SAO!

What will happen if I underage drink?

I'm 13

So, lately I've been thinking about underage drinking. I'm not one of the "cool" kids so don't think it's peer pressure, I would actually be the first one in my school to drink. Some people say it is very dangerous and some people say it's ok to drink but it will do minor harm to your body. Now, before I go any further, I want an ACTUAL answer, not that "Awww it will get better, drinking is bad and you should never ever do it." crap. And if I don't start now, meh, I'm going to later on in my life anyway.

So here's my reasons why I want to drink:
1. My life sucks and I KNOW it won't get better.
2. I have stopped going for my dream job.
3. I have become suicidal(ish).
4. The girl I like is giving me mixed signals.
5. Everyone hates me.
6. I have no talent.
7. I'm most likely not going to survive High School.
And last but not least
8.I'm a dreamer, not a doer.

So, I've heard that when you drink, you feel better. I'm not sure if that's the fact that you get high or if it takes your mind off things. Which one is it? or is it both?

My final question(s) about it are: What are some things that might happen if I underage drink? I'm not sure if my 8 problems might correspond with the alcohol or anything but I thought I should put those up there just in case.
Last question, If I drink like, one bottle every two weeks or something, would anything really happen besides alcohol getting inside me and rearranging to furniture and sh*t?

What happens in the USA if you are caught underage drinking but are not a US citizen?

If you are visiting the US and are not 21, and yet have id saying you are 21 or over, what would happen if you were caught underage drinking, eg the hotel compared your fake id to your passport or something, would the police take any interest as they could not confiscate your licence? (24which i believe is the punishment for US citizens)

Also are you allowed alcohol at any age so long as it is orderd with a meal as in europe?

What happens if my underage drinking party gets busted? This is my first time throwing one.?

Well first I would make sure you take everyones keys, EVERYONES !
Keep the alchol intake to a minimum so you dont have someone end up with alchol poisoning and/or trying to streak down the streak.
Dont let a bunch of kids stand outside smoke/ taking ect.
When ANYONE brings beer in, it needs to be covered just incase a cop drives by.
I was busted twice when i was your age. (one of the times was when a teen was crossing the street with a case and a cop was passing by)
We all got underage tickets, and if ANYONE is under 18 they HAVE to call their mother to come get them. the rest who were over 21 got contributing to minors which is not a good call.
The FIRST time my dumb*** went to court he let me off because I blew 0.000 because I had not drank a thing, but that was a nice judge. Because LEGALLY under 21 you cannot even be at a party AROUND booze.
THE SECOND time, I got my lisence suspended and had 50 hrs community Service.

So good luck, 30 people is actually alot. Probably to much for your first party.

TIP. If ALL of the doors are closed (when the cops roll up) and no one RUNS (like an idiot) then a family member (someone of a decent age) can answer the door and doesnt have to let them in.

Everyone at our party RAN inside and the cop stuck his foot in the door BUT did not come in, They called for a warrant because they had reasonable cause because everyone had ran away. They had a warrant within 10 minutes.

good luck to ya !

Underage Drinking: I am 16 from Sweden and I drunk alcohol. Will I go to jail because of it?

Besides what previous writers mentioned, there can be some issues regarding the interpretation of this case depending on various hypothetical situations that are good to know about. The issue is if you get drunk or stoned out of your mind and the police meets in you in the street or other public place while you are wobbling home, you then run the risk of being "lobbad" - or what is called being subject to the law of - Lagen om omhändertagande av berusade personer. It's a law paragraph that allows the police to take custody of you if you are too intoxicated to take care of yourself. So you don't want to meet the police in a public place when you are intoxicated. That will otherwise increase the risk for a police mandated trip to the hospital and that you will spend the night in jail up to 8 hours or until it shows that you can take care of yourself. Being subject to LOB in Sweden is an offence that can later make things difficult for you, if you apply for certain positions where it is important that you have a clean record. So it is possible to land in jail for being drunk in Sweden, but not in the criminal sense  that would lead to a conviction. It would be rather a matter of disturbing the public peace that could escalate into something else. See to it that you can hold your liquor and don't do any mischief. What the police and social services would be more concerned about are the results of  too much drinking. Being frequently subject to LOB, petty theft in shops, bad school results and disorderly conduct. If that happens, you run the risk of having the police calling social services and they will be your parents and yours to deal with. Or vice versa, if you only drink at home, it's your stepmom and social services you want to look out for if too much trouble comes from your underage drinking. So you don't want that. Watch out and (if you absolutely must)  drink carefully until you are an adult in the eyes of the law.
