Under Eye Shadow Problem Help [pic]

Can i use eyeshadow powder for my acrylic nails (pic)?

to color the acrylic?
the world is your palette.

to use in place of the acrylic?
um no.
the monomer (liquid) requires a polymer (acrylic powder) to create a bond, and form those pretty sculptures.

you can stick anything in acrlics... photos, magazine pieces, dried flowers, rhinestones inside, candy wrappers, glitter, colored strings, anything you can thing of. somethings will hold up against the chemicals better than others.

i would say you have a better chance with mac pigments giving you the colors you are looking for better than others since the color is so concentrated. however, you might have problems with consitency since the pigments are super fine, and hold moisture that acrylic powder doesnt. this might make a really cool effect though too... i think i'll give it a try!

Why do I look angry when I apply dark eyeshadow and eyeliner?

I wouldn't darken your eyebrows if you have dark eyebrows to begin with. This can definitely make you appear "angry" Also make sure you are also highlighting areas of your face as well like your cheekbones, eyebrow bone and inner corner of your eyes so it will make your face look brighter. I would also use a concealer that is a couple shades lighter than your skin tone and put on under your eyes in a filled in "v" to highlight and bring attention to your eyes (this will go on after foundation before anything else and set with a powder to prevent creasing).

Under eye shadow problem? HELP?! [pic]?

I'm 19 and I have these under eye dark line things that bother the hell out of me. I don't know how to cover them up or how to fix them or anything. I've tried everything from potatoes/cucumbers to under eye cream. I keep myself hydrated all the time and I take good care of my skin. Is it a shadow? is it some dark line thing? I don't know what it is.

I have a few photo's of myself for reference. (I put red lines on the first two pictures to tell you where they are. the third one is ugly as hell but it should show you what I mean...)

ASIAN EYES : I need makeup help.?

I already asked this question before, but I didn't get much help.

I have Asian eyes, no crease (monolid), and I'm perfectly fine with them. The thing is, I'm kind of bored with the way I do my makeup.

Applying eyeliner is kind of hard with my eyelids because the skin folds under when I look straight, and even more when I look up. When I look down, everyone can see how much eyeliner I wear (which is a lot over the folded skin). I'd like to find a different way to put eyeliner on the top of my eyes because it's hard to get the lines even and I always end up putting a lot more on than I want.

Like most Asians, I have short eyelashes too. I can curl them and all, but you can't really see them because they don't goo past where my eyeliner is so it looks like I don't have any eyelashes. My mascara is fine and all, but I just don't like the fact that it looks like I don't have any eyelashes.

Soo, can anyone help me? Suggestions? Detailed steps? Pictures? Thanks. :)

How do you take a good picture of your eye?

I recently took a picture of my eye… I've been curious about what colour my eyes predominantly are because as you can see in the picture they are both green and brown, but it is more obvious in this picture that its 2/3s green, 1/3rd brown.. didn’t know until i took the picture!… honestly, this was taken on my iphone, I blinded that eye for 5 minutes after taking the picture with flash on (which would probably be the best way to capture the color), oh and try to make your around-the-eye area look nice, I have concealer, foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara on in this which i feel brings more attention to the eye and not the dark circles under my eye before I put on makeup…Keep trying and one of them is bound to look good.

For people who have had american hooded eyelids, what happens when you age?

Eye doctors address that issue. Yes, eyelids do tend to keep drooping with age. When they block a certain percentage of your vision as determined by an eye test then surgery is done. The test is done in 2 stages.... first w/ the eyelid in 'normal' position....second test with eyelids taped 'up' out of the way. Drooping eyelids are dangerous if you are still doing a lot of driving. You could miss seeing traffic around you. If you have regular eye exams your doctor will keep an eye on the issue.

My under eye bags wont go away! help me?

You are out of luck in the skin care or cosmetics. Sorry. There are dozens of eye creams out there that claims to depuff and lighten dark circles and they are almost always lying through their teeth. There is no solid research that indicates that cucumber or caffeine to be effective to remove the bags under your eyes. Tea bags, well, their may be chemicals in there that can constrict blood vessels and drain the fluids, but there is no guarantee. Try if you like!

Here are the causes and treatment I suggest:

8. Fluid retention from weather changes, hormone fluctuations, or salty foods.
Treatment: Reduce salt intake. Alcohol can also cause water retention. The hormone fluctuation (think puberty or your period) and weather changes is beyond your control, so there is little you can do with that if your puffiness is triggered by them. You can take oral contraceptives to balance out hormone. Speak with your personal physicians for further assistance. You can “perhaps” manually drain the fluids with a circular massaging motion around your eyes, but please be gentle, you do not want to tear any elastin or rub too hard that you make matters worse.

9. Sleeping flat on your back
Treatment: sleep on an incline! Have your pillow slightly elevated so the fluids can be drained overnight.

10. Not getting enough sleep (leads to stress leads to hormone imbalance)
Treatment: Get enough sleep! If you have a difficult time sleeping, speak with your pharmacist for further assistant.

11. Allergies or dermatitis (redness and itching)
Treatment: Avoid any skin care products that may contain fragrance or other irritants that can make matters worse. To deal with existing redness and itching, you may want to apply 1% hydrocortisone. If the problem persist like severe case of eczema, you need to visit your local board certified dermatologist for professional opinion.

12. Heredity (your genetic predetermines that you have puffy eyes, sorry!)
Treatment: Either embrace it or get it fix with your board certified plastic surgeon. He or she can surgically remove the fat pad under your eyes so you will not have a bulge or that “puff” anymore.

Best wishes
